Dr. John Perry is co-author of the fascinating book Developing Mental Toughness and found his way from the UK to the University of Limerick where he conducts world-leading research on the topic. I'm honored to introduce you all to: Professional Remote Viewer, Technical Remote Viewing Trainer, Ex-Special Forces Sniper, Entrepreneur, Author and Writer of ‘The Remote Viewing Skills Enhancement Workbook', and someone I'm honored to call a new friend, Tobias Schwartz Blass. Toby's journey into remote viewing began early in life in his homeland of Germany when - at the age of 13 - he read the book ‘Dance of Dimensions'. From that moment on, he was hooked and began seriously pursuing remote viewing at age 15. At age 17, Toby joined the German army and left 12 years later. For 3 years he was a recon sniper, then his unit got dissolved and he was transferred to another Special Forces unit as a Sniper Instructor for his remaining time. In that time, he had the fortunate opportunity to study psychology and neuroscience and created a new ‘perception training' for special forces snipers. After he was released, Tobias engaged in Remote Viewing much more until he went to Syria on his own in 2017 for 8 months to fight against ISIS. In this time, Remote Viewing came in handy twice. Since the end of 2017, Tobias now lives in Brazil, teaches Technical Remote Viewing and also does project work for companies and individuals who want to use Remote Viewing to get ahead in their business ventures. I'm really excited to talk about this topic on today's episode as it has been a major topic of discussion with survivors who have been on this show - and a controversial topic at that. As someone who has also always been interested in what humans are capable of, I think having knowledge and understanding on Remote Viewing is imperative for humanity to learn about as it is real - this has even been admitted by the CIA - and because due to our lack of knowledge on remote viewing, many individuals who DO have knowledge on how this tool is used have been using it for dark agendas and against humanity. Today we are going to learn Tobias's journey into Remote Viewing, what Remote Viewing is as well as what it isn't, how to use remote viewing with ecology and in a professional manner as Tobias has been for over a decade, and so much more - including answering some of the fantastic questions you all submitted! There is so much to re-learn about what humans are capable of and Tobias's piece of the puzzle is another validation not only that what survivors on this show have said is true, but also to learn how we can take these gifts and talents back from the enemy and use them for good. A few weeks ago, we had Dr. Marcel Polte detail and outline how he was able to use a team of Remote Viewers to validate survivor Katy Groves story and on today's episode you are going to hear more about how talents like Remote Viewing can be used to benefit humanity, to help grow a successful business, and even how to hunt pedos and perpetrators. This week I'm rejoined with one of our favourite guests, former Special Forces soldier and TV personality, Ollie Ollerton, who gets more candid than ever before about the SBS, and its not what you think….. KEY TAKEAWAYS We should always back spirituality with science, especially in a world where scepticism is prevalent. Strict upbringings can shape discipline and resilience, but we must never let discipline go too far. Those with a rebellious nature will find conflict in a military career. In order to progress and grow, you need to recognise personal growth and develop your mindset You can achieve self-discovery and personal development through focussing on spirituality and visualisation techniques. We need to challenge societal programming and take control of one's own thoughts and actions in order to live a fulfilling and empowered life BEST MOMENTS "I was so lost as a kid. And I say a kid, I was still a kid when I was in the military. But I was so lost. I look back now and I just think that I'd love to have that opportunity again." "I think it's a bit dangerous when Alex Hormozi says, you know, I get up in bed, I look at my phone for an hour, I do this and the other. He is what I call a unconscious competent." "We are the program product of World War I and II. Your parents were programmed through those years. Absolute lack, rationing, all that kind of thing. That program has been passed on to you and to me." "You imagine our first steps on this planet. We're never going to remember all the nice fruits that we ate. We're always going to remember the one bad berry that made us ill and could have killed us. So that is why we're addicted to the things that could go wrong." Jordan Mulligan from the Mulligan Brothers podcast, sits down and talks to Jay Morton, an Ex Special Forces soldier, author, and instructor as he discusses his inspiring 14-year service in the military and what exactly it has taught him. Jay Morton was born in 1984 and raised in Lancashire. As a child he was always an adventurous child, finding joy in exploring, and fascinated with the outdoors. Although this curiosity benefited him, it meant he was constantly distracted thus, he finished school with poor grades. However, it was always Jay's mission to join the military, he played rugby at school and studied sports at college, but this was never enough for him. He needed something more. Something that was going to challenge him and fulfil his ambitious mind. It was in 2004 when Morton left Lancashire and joined PARAs (The Parachute Regiment) in Catterick. This was where his military career unfolded. Jay committed himself, serving 3 PARAs for four years, deploying twice in Afghanistan and once to Iraq. In 2008 Jay needed more he knew he had more in him. To reach his full potential he made the hard decision to go through the gruelling process of the special forces' selection. He passed the first time progressing towards his 10-year career within the UK special forces granting him with a range of specialised skill sets. Beyond his incredible 14-year service Morton has written a book, led multiple expeditions up some of the highest mountains in the world including two summits of Everest, and appeared as one of the directing staff on Channel 4's SAS: Who Dares Wins. His amazing action-filled life made for an inspiring conversation on his gripping life story and the lessons he's gained along the way based on motivation, strategy, mindset, and his sources of inspiration.
On this episode of GET TO KNOW YOU, we discuss another thought-provoking topic; ‘How can your mental state rise during extreme conditions?'. This week, I'll be sitting down with Murray Turner. He is an Ex Special Forces 2nd Commando Regiment Sergeant, he spent 4 years in the Australian regular Army and then a further 15 years in the 2nd Commando Regiment. He has just returned from Contract work in the UAE where he instructed at one of their Special Forces units for 4.5 years. He grew up in Broken Hill and had a country life upbringing, chasing Adrenaline early on Murray began flying at 16 years of age and then joined the NSW Police at 18. After a few years in the Police Force and understanding there was quite a bit of paperwork and little actual ‘Action' he departed and joined the Australian Army. Shortly after Rwanda and Somalia, after a further few years in the Regular Army Murray completed selection and joined the Australian Regular Commando unit where he spent 5 years performing Counter Terrorism duties and then rotating through East Timor and Afghanistan. Murray has also performed body guard roles for celebrities and now resides back in the country South of Sydney. Tune in as we discuss; What attributes are necessary to push past your believed limits? How are people trained for special forces? What mental and physical state is necessary to join special forces? How being put in extreme conditions expands your growth? And more. Stay tuned to the end of the episode to find out how you can join the conversation on the Get To Know You Café.CreditsMusic- Sara Oliveira Support the show
Loved catching up with Simon. Interesting to hear him talking about mindsets, purpose, and the little things everyone in society can do to help themselves both physically and mentally. I can see why he is so successful with The Natural Edge, but also why he held a successful career in the Marines, Special Forces, and the SBS. He's worked in some of the most hostile environments, and is bringing those lessons to the real world. Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery, Whitson Prestige, and use 'FLAP15' for 15% off at FourFive CBD.
This week I'm on a mission with Ex-Special Forces soldier and star of TV's SAS: Who Dares Wins, Ollie Ollerton and it's an absolute banger. Everything about this interview was so engaging. A freak childhood chimp attack that nearly cost him his life seemed to leave Ollie always chasing something seemingly unobtainable. When the Special Forces failed to fill the void that he had hoped it would, it wasn't until Ollie's time in counter-terrorism freeing children from a trafficking ring in Thailand, for the first time that Ollie started to discover his purpose. In this no-bullshit chat, Ollie opens up about his self-destructive battles with alcohol and drug addiction and his struggles with anxiety and depression which make his story so relatable. There is so much raw honest truth and valuable lessons in this interview about how Ollie has finally put his demons to bed to live a life with meaning. It's absolute dynamite! A brilliant interview, definitely one of my favourites! KEY TAKEAWAYS When we step into unfamiliar territory and challenge ourselves outside of the realms of comfort, the gains can be more impactful than we realise. These gains are life-altering. We attract the energy that we exude in life. If we expect the worst, then we attract negative energy. This is why it's vital to radiate positivity, as it will mean that we attract and harness it everywhere. As human beings we are image driven. We strive to achieve the picture perfect existence, or attain unrealistic ideals with short term wins. What we should strive for are the wins that come through feeling. Happiness is far more important. When you're put into a pressure situation, you lose the ability to design the perfect outcome. Your thoughts, feelings, actions and reactions become organic. You live in the moment. BEST MOMENTS 'The ethos of Break Point is to take that short term step into discomfort for long term gain' 'Where focus goes, energy glows' 'We should have goals that stretch us. They should excite us, but scare us at the same time' 'I want to help as many people as possible to come from a place that's dark and horrible, to a place that's good' VALUABLE RESOURCES On A Mission - https://omny.fm/shows/on-a-mission Website - https://ollieollerton.com Ollie Ollerton Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/ollie.ollerton/?hl=en Ollie Ollerton Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ollerton2911 Ollie Ollerton LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/double-o/ Ollie Ollerton Twitter - https://twitter.com/ollie_ollerton ABOUT THE HOST Not so long ago, life was barely recognisable for Ellie McKay, raising three children under five, battling post-natal depression, facing redundancy and walking into the job centre to claim benefits with a double pram, no confidence, and wracked with insecurities. Dan Pronk served 4 tours of Afghanistan as a Special Operations doctor, spending many days saving and losing fellow soldiers through more than 100 combat missions. Dan, his brother Ben and veteran, Tim Curtis, have just released their book, ‘The Resilience Shield' - A mix of enthralling stories and practical instructions breaking down methods we can all use to build genuine resilience. Dan thrived in the most extreme high stress environments and found the rampant intensity of battle so enticing that he felt he had to keep going back for more. When he was in the thick of it, witnessing all the death and destruction destruction seemed like water off a ducks back, but Dan's trauma was building all along till it finally caught up with him. Dan is a prime example of post traumatic growth, the positive flip side of post traumatic stress we don't often hear about. Very few of us have survived the worst of the worst like Dan has, but we all faces challenges in our lives with the potential to break us and we all need a Resilience Shield.

A special shout out to Trek bars for sponsoring this episode...Trek bars have accompanied me over many walks and fuelled many an adventure. He also co-hosts a weekly podcast dedicated to dog behavioral training called 'The Canine Paradigm'. We're having a little obedience problem with puppy Ryka the Belgian Malinois, so we called Pat for some much needed advice on what to do! We cover: - Operant conditioning - NePoPo Training - Why Corrections are Important for Dogs - Aggression - Leash Reactivity - "My dog snarls & gets aggressive with the prong collar. Matthew 'Ollie' Ollerton is a former Special Forces soldier and a member of the Directing Staff on Channel 4's hit show SAS: Who Dares Wins. Ollie's military career began at the age of 18 when he joined the Royal Marine Commandos and toured operationally in Northern Ireland and in Iraq for Operation Desert Storm. He subsequently spent six years in the Special Boat Service rising to team leader, before working in Iraq as a private security contractor and carrying out charity work in South-East Asia. Ex-Special Forces soldier Ollie Ollerton knows more than his fair share about keeping going. As a recruit he survived the infamously tough SAS selection process on a busted ankle with the Directing Staff pleading with him to give up. But it's in Ollie's personal life that he really had to dig deep. At his lowest he was battling a failed relationship, substance abuse, depression and a pronounced death wish. After leaving the services Ollie found himself at a loss. Feeling worthless, lacking purpose, he turned to drink to numb the pain. Looking for a way out, Ollie made a discovery. Often in life we find ourselves looking for an external fix - drink, drugs, other people's agenda. But the truth is the solution is not out there, it's inside. In Battle Ready Ollie teaches you how to access this potential, find your inner strength and transform your life. From finding your purpose to visualising your outcome, to putting in a process to break bad habits and create positive new routines, Ollie's 12-step plan shows you how to make positive progress and recover when things go wrong. By following his plan, you can realise your full potential, find your happiness, and become battle ready. ‘Special Forces soldiers aren’t supermen. We’re just ordinary people, with the same frailties and vulnerabilities as everyone else. But ordinary people can achieve the extraordinary.’ Ollie Ollerton Instagram: @FreedomPact FreedomPact.co.uk

In 1985 Wynand du Toit led a patrol of crack South African Recce soldiers from a submarine to a sensitive oil installation in Angola. The mission: to blow it up, and hinder Angola's ability to wage war. But things went wrong, and Wynand ended up wounded, captured and paraded before the international press. After almost 3 years of solitary confinement, he was suddenly released. His subsequent search for the truth behind the failed mission, however, raised more questions than answers.http://www.wynanddutoit.com/https://www.facebook.com/wynanddutoitbook/Support Tales Less Told podcast: www.taleslesstold.com/donateDon't forget to subscribe to the podcast!Flying 4 Rhino operates aerial support over conservation areas, and plays a key role in deterring and detecting poachers.
