Starting an eCommerce store comes with plenty of challenges. From the logistical complexity to shipping products, there is perhaps no challenge as daunting as the competition. In today's episode of the MORE podcast, Ricardo is joined by Paul Kirch, CEO of Sellience, to explain a tool that helps small eCommerce stores stay competitive in the virtual marketplace: Cartfeeder. Paul always wanted to start his own company. He eventually negotiated out of his sales contract and started a company doing sales and leadership consulting. However, it quickly transitioned to a marketing company because that's where the demand was. Paul had started a radio show that eventually morphed into a podcast, and it ended up becoming a top 10 business podcast. While it has since been retired, it provided Paul a litany of knowledge to fuel his business. His digital marketing agency is Sellience, which focuses on marketing that drives sales, not just leads. Operating an eCommerce business comes with many challenges. You're going up against major companies that dwarf every small business owner. The problem with Shopify is if you're operating on small margins. Setting prices either equal to or more expensive than Amazon will lead people to just go with Amazon. However, operating on small margins can be challenging since Shopify takes a portion of each transaction. Paul created Cartfeeder, designed to give small business owners an eCommerce store that benefits them and maximizes profit. Before Cartfeeder, the other tool or solution was just to have static pricing. And that pricing was based on traffic to the site. Amazon uses a similar strategy (called Spiders) that tracks eCommerce pricing for similar products and will make an attempt to undercut you in price. A quick case study: Amazon vs. diapers.com Amazon wanted to get into the diaper space, so they approached diapers.com and asked if they wanted to sell. They refused. Amazon started undercutting, offered free shipping, and providing other products catered towards mothers. Diapers.com approached Walmart and tried to sell. Amazon, over one quarter, was willing to lose 100 million in revenue to squash diapers.com. And Amazon ended up buying diapers.com. The takeaway? Large companies have tremendous power to stay one step ahead of smaller companies. And this tool will give some of that power back to the small business. How to get started using Cartfeeder Shopify has changed the game for a lot of small businesses. But they take a portion of your sales to stay in business, which isn't the best option for companies with small margins. Go to Cartfeeder.com to check it out and receive a free audit to ensure you have the suitable systems currently in place. Paul's book and podcast recommendations: He is the co-host of a room with a group called Co-Founders Lab on Clubhouse. Getting There: A Book of Mentors by Gillian Zoe Segal Co-Founders Voice is a podcast about to launch that brings tools, tips, and strategies for people in the early startup stage. Entrepreneur's can manifest success, but they muat know how. The human mind is powerful beyond comprehension, but it also built around a common truth which leads to human limitations, which often explains the failures many business people experience. Our brain is designed to seek pleasure and avoid pain. Fortunately, we have the ability to override the instinctual nature and gain control. The language we use to describe ourselves and the associations we make to pain and pleasure hold the key. What does a lemon have to do with this? You'll have to listen to find out. External issues are easy to solve, as an entrepreneur. Buying new software, hiring a consultant, taking a training course... These are just a few of the examples of solutions you can apply. Internal struggles, on the other hand, are much more of an issue. Self-doubt, procrastination, distractions, negative thinking, and many other internal struggles can limit success more than anything. In this special episode of The BOSS Transformed, Paul Kirch shares how he had to overcome some challenges, which were extremely limiting to his growth and his potential as an entrepreneur. The feeling of guilt that stems from a mindset of, "I must do it all, be it all, own it all...", is an area so many entrepreneurs struggle and find themselves being bogged down by. Never taking a break or feeling miserable in the moments you do, this is an area most entrepreneurs must eventually grow beyond if they hope to reach levels of success and personal growth. Clarity, planning and taking time to think... These are just three of the keys revealed in this brief, but value-packed episode. Please let us know if can relate to the challenges presented or perhaps you have other solutions you can share. Visit us at http://bossacademy.com to learn more. JV Crum III, The Conscious Millionaire We started off the interview getting to know a little about JV Crum III was from and talked about some of the culture surrounding the wonderful state of Colorado. JV, in case you don't know him, is a wildly successful entrepreneur who is all about giving back. He began the conversation by talking about changing his age. You can have a physical age, but it has absolutely no meaning to who you are. - JV Crum III JV went on to say that he has a birthday coming up. Most of the friends he's made over the past year are in their 30's and 40's. He identifies, psychologically, with how he truly feels. Since it was his birthday, he decided that he could do anything that he wanted so he wanted to change his age. It's a real strategy. His dad, when he was 80, was like a super young 65. His dad didn't even take up golf until he was 72 and he went on to get two holes in one. People ask JV where he gets all his energy from and he woult tell them he was 42. JV believes that the key to his youthful exuberance was do to the fact that he would wake up every morning and say that he was 42. This is a pretty consistent theme throughout his family. He has a 90 year old aunt that thinks she's 60. We all met at podcast movement at John Lee Dumas' party. I was with my girlfriend Sara, Mark Haffner and my good friend Paul Kirch. JV walked up to us and introduced himself. When JV goes to conferences, he notices that most people don't have a purpose when they go to these events. The main reason he attends conferences is to meet people and obtain certain outcomes. His main objective was to meet people at the conference and become a guest on their show and this is proof of obtaining your objectives for going to conferences. The Conscious Millionaire Book The book has a very interesting background. From the age of 23 - 55, JV became the father to his father. He took a bankrupt company and turned it around all the while taking care of his father. In the process, JV gave up a lot of himself. He thought about what he gave up. He asked himself what he gave up and how he can get that. The way JV operates is by figuring out his target dat and working towards his goal from there. After his dad passed away four years ago, JV realized a huge shift in his life and what discovered what his goals were. His #1 priority everyday is doing what he wants. His main objective is to live his purpose. While he knew what his three main goals were, above all that, he wanted know what the #1 thing was that he wanted to accomplish. His goal is to positively impact one bilion people. While his book has had over 50,000 downloads on Amazon and gives him a huge credibility factor about how to make a million dollars, it provides him the foundation material from which everything else comes out of. A core part of the book is the portion on the formula on how to create wealth. When he looked at how he was able to create over 1 million dollars in three years from a bankrupt situation and end up with a nice house and car, he asked himself how he accomplish this. Most people don't really right this down and so he decided to right about what he did. The three steps are conscious, focus and action. The conscious stage is the most important step of the three. This is where you really get clarity. You don't know what your motivators are. You don't know what's happening in your industry, you don't know what the resources or options are. Anyone who really wants to build a six figure business can do it in a year, if you follow conscious, focused, action. You have to be conscious about what you do and then remain focused. When you are fully committed, you have your whole heart in it. If your body is not ready to take action,

If you've ever felt like you struggle to thrive in your competitive market, it's time to tune in and turn your business on. Veronica Yankowski is a professional photographer who seeks to satisfy higher-end clients. With amateur photographers having access to low-cost, high-quality cameras and other digital equipment, people like Veronica find that they are facing an ever growing sea of competition. Learn how Veronica has learned to pick and choose the clients she wants at a fair price-point, opting to say no to some of the business which does not fit her business model. A key to success as an entrepreneur is learning when to say no to business that is not a fit. Business leadership often involves setting boundaries. What boundaries are you setting? When are you saying, "No"? As an award-winning photographer, Veronica L Yankowski knows how to tell a story in a single frame. In 2005 she left the newspaper industry after 11 years and applied her dramatic documentary style to portraiture, which opened new creative possibilities for her work. She named her company VeroLuce Photography. “Vero” –a play on her name –is the Latin word for truth, as is “Luce” for light. She photographs her subjects in the best light possible, all the while capturing their true personality and creating portraits that are often described as “soulful.” BOSS Academy Radio is thrilled to present this episode, where we see a real-life example of how an entrepreneur can dominate their own market. Success requires setting a clear plan and strategic direction. More importantly, it's highly dependent that you take the step to put that plan into action. Host, Paul Kirch, brings out Veronica's story, challenges and success in this interview. She's paving the way before you, so now you can take and apply these great lessons for your own business. We're talking about real business ownership success strategies. This is one more reason BOSS Academy is truly the last BOSS you'll ever need.

Sales coach, founder of Actus Sales Intelligence, host of Boss Academy Radio and sales academy leader, Paul Kirch started in Gallup and moved around in research organizations. He knew he was strong in sales and that he wanted to be an entrepreneur. However, he said his fears held him back. He accepted a great sales job instead. That’s where he learned to build relationships and trust, because that is what great sales is all about. Things were sailing along fine and he moving up the ladder in his industry. Then something shifted. The company was bought out almost overnight the company culture shifted to something that made him and his wife who also worked there miserable. That was the push he needed to head out and start his own company. Paul says his wife was eight months pregnant at the time, yet she was very supportive of his move into entrepreneurialism. Actus, Paul’s company, is the brainchild of that decision to take control of their own life and finances. Now Paul reports being happy and fulfilled. In this Cash Flow Diary podcast interview, Paul shares with us the steps he had to move through to shift his mindset to doing what he really wanted to do to start a company where in his first year he paid himself nothing. There was a lot of risk, but he did it anyway. The outcome was to create a successful company. One of his very first steps once he took the leap, Paul wrote an article titled “The Cowardly Entrepreneur.” And just like the lion in the Wizard of Oz, Paul discovered that everything he needed to be a successful entrepreneur was already inside him. Listen to Paul as he walks us through all the steps he took to get where he is today. He promises you have what you need to replicate his journey. It will take some courage. Learn more.
