In this episode, I talked to Hesh Fekry from CXL about the evolving relationship between Product and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). How are these once-separate disciplines are increasingly overlapping in scope, mindset, and execution? The conversation touches on the historical separation of CRO from Product, the shift towards experimentation as a more fitting term, and how AI and new tools are enabling professionals to bridge skill gaps faster than ever before.Key Takeaways:CRO & Product Have Always Been Similar: While traditionally seen as separate roles, both disciplines focus on user insights, problem-solving, and optimizing user flows. The Issue with the CRO Label: CRO as a term has long been tied to a narrow metric-focused approach (conversion rates), but its scope has expanded far beyond that.Experimentation as the New CRO: The rebranding of CRO towards experimentation reflects the broader impact CRO professionals have, including retention, monetization, and pricing strategies.AI is Accelerating the Shift: New AI-driven tools make it easier to fill skill gaps, allowing professionals to be more T-shaped and take on cross-functional responsibilities.CRO Should Be Involved from Day One: Rather than stepping in after a product is built, CRO principles should be applied from the earliest stages to validate assumptions and de-risk decisions.Product and CRO are Learning from Each Other: It's not just CRO learning from Product—it's a continuous loop where both disciplines borrow and refine each other's methodologies.Notable Quotes:

In the latest episode of No Hacks Snacks, I had an insightful chat with Luka Nikolić about how Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) is shifting from an add-on service to a core discipline in digital marketing.Key takeaways from our conversation:✅ CRO is going mainstream – It's following the path of PPC and SEO, moving from an afterthought to a necessity.✅ Specialization is the future – More agencies and freelancers are focusing solely on CRO rather than offering it as a side service.✅ It's a process, not just A/B testing – True CRO involves research, design, development, QA, and analytics—not just running experiments.✅ E-commerce is leading the way – Businesses are recognizing CRO's role in lowering acquisition costs and optimizing the full buyer journey.✅ Hyper-focused providers may emerge – In the future, we might see agencies specializing in just research, A/B test development, or qualitative analysis.CRO needs to be baked into projects from day one, not treated as an optional “Would you like fries with that?” service. How do you see CRO evolving in the next few years?---If you enjoyed the episode, please share it with a friend! No Hacks websiteYouTubeLinkedInInstagram

B2B business development has become increasingly complex, with companies finding it harder than ever to drive growth. One of the biggest challenges? Many organizations have shifted their investments down the funnel—hiring more sales and BDR resources—while pulling back on marketing. Yet, buyer behavior has evolved in the opposite direction. Today, buyers are forming their shortlists and making decisions before ever speaking to a sales rep. This means if your brand isn't investing in marketing, you're not even making it into their consideration set. To grow revenue, companies must excel across four critical stages: ✅Awareness: They must have heard of you ✅Affinity: They must like you and believe you can solve their challenges ✅In-Market: They must be ready to buy ✅Engagement: Then they talk to your sales team, who still needs to beat the competition and win the deal At RBMA: Revenue Based Marketing Advisors, we help businesses scale growth effectively and efficiently. We build and optimize your end-to-end marketing and sales infrastructure—from brand development to sales training—delivering: - Increased high-quality lead volume - Shortened sales cycles - Improved close rates I'm Kerry Curran, Founder and Chief Growth Officer of RBMA. Today's episode welcomes Sahil Patel, CEO of Spiralyze. They help companies grow by providing data-driven performance Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) services. The point of a great landing page is to lead your potential clients to take action on your offer - whether it's a demo, a strategy call or a free trial. Sahil mentions that while lead gen gets a bad rap on LinkedIn, it's still part of a holistic brand strategy and exists as a necessary bridge between prospects liking your brand from afar and prospects actually talking to your team. A great landing page can hook your prospects into taking action, which can ultimately be the difference between you and your competitors getting a chance to make their case that their product is a good fit for the prospect. Sahil considers a double-digit lift in your metric of choice as mission success when optimizing your landing page. Most companies don't see this level of improvement because their landing pages consist of a huge wall of text that's boring, their forms are too long and they don't actually show you the product. When asked about examples of great landing pages in SaaS, Sahil refers to Service Fusion and Record360. The strategy of showing your product on your landing page is what Sahil calls the “shiny car in the parking lot” - when you see it and you want it. A big part of becoming a shiny car is credibility. While building brand credibility happens outside of the landing page, you still have real estate within the page to place exceptional testimonials from those clients that have the biggest brand and best match your ICP. Looking for ways to increase your revenue without breaking the bank? While user acquisition often comes with a price tag, conversion rate optimization (CRO) focuses on making data-driven psychological adjustments to your interface to encourage desired actions from users. Conversion rate optimization is a marketing strategy aimed at increasing the percentage of visitors who take specific actions on your website. In this video, we'll delve into seven key strategies to kickstart your CRO efforts: First-Time User Experience (Onboarding Experience): Enhance the initial interaction with your platform to ensure users have a smooth and engaging onboarding process, setting a positive tone for their journey. Homepage / Main Screen: Optimize your homepage or main screen to effectively communicate your value proposition, guiding visitors towards desired actions and reducing bounce rates. Leads / Flows: Streamline the user journey by optimizing lead generation forms and user flows, minimizing friction and encouraging conversions at each touchpoint. Call to Action: Fine-tune your calls to action (CTAs) to be clear, compelling, and strategically placed, prompting users to take the next step in their journey. Pricing Page: Improve transparency and value communication on your pricing page to alleviate user concerns and increase confidence in making purchasing decisions. Blog Posts: Utilize content optimization techniques within blog posts to not only drive traffic but also guide visitors towards conversion-focused actions, such as newsletter sign-ups or product trials. Landing Pages: Craft high-converting landing pages tailored to specific campaigns or target audiences, ensuring alignment between user expectations and the offered value proposition. By implementing these CRO strategies, you can enhance user engagement, increase conversion rates, and ultimately boost your revenue without significant upfront costs. Topical mapping is a strategy that involves mapping out the topics that are most relevant to your business and your customers. By doing so, you can create content that is more targeted and relevant to your audience, which can help you rank higher on Google. Topical mapping takes a longer-term perspective, which means that you should focus on topics that are relevant to your business in the long run, rather than just trying to rank for one single keyword. From an SEO perspective, topical mapping is important because it helps validate that your content is topically relevant. When Google sees that your content is focused on a specific topic, it's more likely to rank it higher in search results. This can help drive more traffic to your site, which is essential for e-commerce businesses. Why Aren't We Converting More Sales from Traffic? One reason why businesses struggle to convert traffic into sales is that the first content to rank on Google tends not to be the most commercially driven pages. For example, if you sell dog products, ranking for "Why does my dog follow me everywhere?" may not result in many sales. Instead, you should focus on bottom-of-the-funnel pages with high buyer intent. When Do We Start Making Money from E-commerce SEO with Topical Mapping? To make money from e-commerce SEO, you need to compare yourself to your competitors. Look at how widely they've covered a topic, their ranking, and what their particular income looks like. You should also look at the traffic to commercial pages and make assumptions about conversion rates. Once you have this information,
