First, the three talk about Lucie's path to clinical work and the significance of her book, Trans Sex, just out in a revised Second Edition. They then turn to Freud's classic, Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality (1905), putting that text, and the broader legacy of Freud's views on sexuality, in dialogue with contemporary questions of trans embodiment and sexual identity. This means reckoning with the ways that Freud's account of sexual development is alternately retrograde and radical, both of his time and far ahead of it. The teaser of the upcoming Tamil movie Bad Girl released last year sparked a wave of outrage across Tamil Nadu. The Madurai High Court recently passed an order severely reprimanding the movie and its makers calling Bad Girl a borderline child pornography. Here's the deal on sin. This week we talk about the sin nature of humankind and the separation it causes between us and God. When we are living in sin, we are choosing to be apart from Christ. For those who are searching in all the wrong places to fill that void, God sees you. God loves you and is waiting for you to enter into relationship with Him.
