Gamers this we WB Montreal pulled back the curtains on Gotham Knights! Am I excited or do I think it is missing something? Find out here!
On today's IGN The Fix: Games, In an announcement about a new gameplay trailer today, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive included a very short note about the last-gen versions of the Gotham Knights. Gotham Knights come from Batman: Arkham Origins developer WB Montreal, and allows players to take on the roles of Red Hood, Nightwing, Robin, and Batgirl in a version of Gotham where Batman has seemingly been killed. EA has announced that the FIFA series will officially change its name to EA Sports FC after this year's FIFA 23, ending what will be an almost three-decade partnership with football's governing body. EA Sports said the name change would take place after the next FIFA game, with more information coming about the first EA Sports FC in July 2023. The BioWare store listed and quickly deleted a product description that implies the original Mass Effect protagonist is returning in the next game. It's unclear whether the original text was an inadvertent slip of information on the BioWare store or a simple mistake on the part of someone outside of the development team. Narz has it all on today's Daily Fix!

Hello, and welcome back to another new episode of The Nerd Stash Show! It seems like just a few months ago we were discussing the possible sale of WB Games Interactive, but after parent company AT&T took those teams off the market, it seemed like the end. That is until this week when the company announced they're spinning off and selling WarnerMedia to Discovery. Now, the deal is more focused on the TV/movie side of the business, but after some speculation, we've gotten confirmation about the games business moving around. How? We aren't sure, but let's speculate who could buy studios such as NetherRealm, Rocksteady, and TT Games! In other news, Starfield is reportedly Xbox and PC exclusive, might star Tom Cruise, and is rumored to maybe (not) release in 2021 (but also might not be, who knows with these rumors). And before we get into all of that, we talk about Taylor's experience with Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and somehow Gabe playing a train simulator game ties in with the WWE. DC Fandome is in the books, so we sat down to discuss WB Montreal's Gotham Knights, Rocksteady's return to the spotlight with Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, and the absence of a 'true' Batman game. We also shared our first impressions on DC's fleet of movies, including Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight in The Batman, The Flash, The Suicide Squad, and Zack Snyder's Justice League. We also discussed the new trailer for Call Of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War, which debuted during a Warzone live event this week, and evaluated the rumours surrounding an updated Nintendo Switch model, or 'Switch Pro', that could arrive as soon as 2021.
Join the Bonus Accessory crew every Friday as they dive head first into all things Xbox, Xbox Game Pass, and PC gaming. Halo Infinite has been the talk of the town recently, and not in the way many would’ve hoped it’d be. From its delay to 2021, to now series legend Joseph Staten coming into “help get the game back on track”, things have been better for Master Chief, but could this change the tide? This week we look at the development outlook for the newest entry in Microsoft’s flagship franchise after its shake ups and how it could lead to the game finally finding its footing. Plus, WB Montreal’s Batman game has FINALLY been revealed, but it doesn’t center around the Caped Crusader himself, just like Rocksteady’s new Suicide Squad title in the Arkham universe. How will this division of canon affect each respective game and could staying in the Arkham universe for Suicide Squad potentially shoe horn it narratively? Also, it seems as though the rumors surrounding a new game within the Perfect Dark universe at The Initiative may be true after all, with confirmation coming from a trusted journalist, but if so, is an already established IP the right move for the studio’s virgin outing, and does a third person Perfect Dark game even work in the modern gaming landscape? All of this, and much more, on the newest episode of the Game Pass Gamecast!
Finally, an Episode again resembling a real Podcast! Joe joins us this week as we talk about a bunch of news that broke in the last few weeks! Joe obviously updates us on what he's been playing and looking forward to like Yakuza: Like A Dragon, the new Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory trailer, and what next gen system he's going for! We also talk about the battle between Apple and Epic Games regarding Fortnite on mobile devices. The reveal of WB Montreal's Gotham Knights and Rocksteady Games Suicide Squad. It's the worst kept secret at DC after numerous leaks, but WB Montreal have a plan and they're going to stick to it. Saturday 22nd of August will see the 'DC Fandome' event finally reveal the anticipated Batman game after a year of teases. Chris Jamie and Jonesy also talk about: 'Ghost of Tsushima: Legends' introducing some co-op to the open-world samurai slash fest; the announcement of 'Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold war'; The possibility of a long awaited 'Prince of Persia' remake and how the wrong 'Need For Speed' is being made.
WB Montreal is teasing what is probably a Batman game, Respawn is working on a VR Medal of Honor, Apex season 3 approaches and the Fallout 76 wearable power armor helmets are dangerously moldy. Ryan and Matty Christmas are back and boxy about Thief, Ocean's 11, Pacific Rim, and 10 seconds of Rogue One before it's on to time spent with Burnout Paradise, Overwatch, ReCore, and Super Mario Run. Then they review the week in review by reviewing Crytek's closures, Street Fighter 5's fall guys, Resident Evil 7's Stalloneyness, and WB Montreal's multiple mills. Rumor mills! It all makes sense!
Ryan and Matt the Knife do it all again with Gone in 60 Seconds, parade(s) of light(s), and Nightmare on Elm Street 3 before it's on to more time spent with Star Wars Battlefront and Base Command, then Ryan recounts his Game Awards galavanting with Shaq Fu 2, Telltale's new Walking Dead and Batman games, Psychonauts 2, 1 million things about The Elder Scrolls Online, Quantum Break-ing news, a tribute to Iwata, Rock Band VR, Shadow Complex Remastered, Rocket League for Xbox One, Hamill-time, The Witcher 3's GOTY win, and Kombat Pack 2 for MKX. But the Playstation Experience couldn't leave well enough alone and did something to Final Fantasy 7 on PS4, split up the remake, announced F.A.N.G. for Street Fighter 5, is making Psychonauts, Rez, Ace Combat, and 100 Foot Robot Golf for Playstation VR, showed Ratchet and Clank, Destiny's new Sparrow Racing League, Epic's new MOBA called Paragon, Playstation now at $100/year, and something about Dark Souls 3 I don't know it's like 10 p.m. Oh also PS2 games are fancy and kind of expensive on PS4, Gone Home is... going to consoles, The Division has been delayed, WB Montreal is going to make a bunch of nerds angry, Resident Evil 2 is a remake no a remaster no a remake, and System Shock 3 was announced. Yeah.
