Mediaite editor Aidan McLaughlin speaks to Fox News host and long-time conservative talk radio presence Sean Hannity in a rare interview. They talk about Trump's election and first weeks in office, Hannity's history as one of the most famous supporters of the president in the media, and his recent interviews with both Trump and Elon Musk. They also speak about the future of Fox News, his opinions on Kamala Harris's presidential campaign, the impressive numbers he pulls on radio with The Sean Hannity Show, and why he believes now more than ever in the death of legacy media.
In this episode of The Catholic Couple Podcast, we dive into the thought-provoking discussion sparked by Vice President JD Vance's recent appearance on The Sean Hannity Show, where he highlighted the Christian principle of Ordered Love (Ordo Amoris). We unpack what this means in a Catholic context—how love is not just about sentiment, but about properly prioritizing our relationships according to God's divine order. We explore the hierarchical nature of Christianity, the tension between subsidiarity and solidarity, and why understanding who comes first is essential for strong marriages, families, and society as a whole. Today's show opens with Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) doubling-down that he and the J6 Reality TV Show did nothing wrong. However, he said that he and other on the committee and “guarantees” and he is looking forward to enacting those guarantees. As a reminder, we knew back in March of this year they destroyed evidence, so I'm curious what he meant by those protections he things they have? We then compare the way the Left and the Legacy/mainstream media are covering the not guilty verdict on Daniel Penny versus the alleged assassination of the health company CEO. We look at a piece from National Review by Charles C. W. Cooke and get a sound bite from CNN. Next, we look at Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense. Trump relayed a story to Kristen Welker that he warned Pete about losing his high-paying job at Fox News if he were to accept the nomination. It seems Hegseth didn't even need to think about it. Appearing on the Sean Hannity Show, Hegseth told the audience what Trump's expectations are for him in restoring the military. While we are discussing some of Trump's nominees, Victor Davis Hanson had a piece telling us what those nominees were not going to do. It was a great look at how Kash Patel, Pete Hegseth, RFK, Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard are being smeared by the press, while Hanson illustrates how they will be polar opposite to the incompetence we already have. On the heels of that, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) sent an 11 page letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray detailing the abject failures in the Bureau. There is a lot to reform and the more we learn, the more we like Trump's picks to fix a broken Executive Branch. CNN's Scott Jennings once again sums up the reality of the Biden presidency and it's not good. He ends by saying Joe Biden will be leaving office in disgrace. Finally, we demonstrate how Karma can sometimes be a bitch. A defund the police activist recently had her U-Haul stolen in San Francisco. She begged the cops for help and then screamed that they haven't been able to instantaneously solve the crime. Her post went viral, but not because people were sharing sympathy. Sean Patrick Hannity[3] (born December 30, 1961[4]) is an American talk show host, conservative political commentator,[5][6][7] and author. He is the host of The Sean Hannity Show, a nationally syndicated talk radio show, and has also hosted a commentary program, Hannity, on Fox News, since 2009. Hannity worked as a general contractor and volunteered as a talk show host at UC Santa Barbara in 1989. He later joined WVNN in Athens, Alabama and shortly afterward, WGST in Atlanta. After leaving WGST, he worked at WABC in New York until 2013. Since 2014, Hannity has worked at WOR.[8] In 1996, Hannity and Alan Colmes co-hosted Hannity & Colmes on Fox. After Colmes announced his departure in January 2008, Hannity merged the Hannity & Colmes show into Hannity.[9] Hannity has promoted conspiracy theories such as "birtherism" (claims that then-President Barack Obama was not a legitimate U.S. citizen), claims regarding the murder of Seth Rich, falsehoods about Hillary Clinton's health, and false claims of election fraud in the 2020 presidential election.[10] Hannity was an early supporter of Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election, and often acted as an unofficial spokesman for him.[11] When Trump was president, White House advisors characterized Hannity as the "shadow" chief of staff,[12] and he reportedly phoned the White House and spoke to Trump most weeknights.[13] According to Forbes, by 2018 Hannity had become one of the most-watched hosts in cable news and most-listened-to hosts in talk radio, due in part to his closeness and access to Trump.[13] He privately urged Trump administration officials before and during the January 6 United States Capitol attack to cease some of their efforts to retain the presidency and to urge Trump's supporters to leave the Capitol.[14] Hannity has an honorary degree from Liberty University. He won awards from the National Association of Broadcasters in 2003 and 2007.[15] He has written three New York Times best-selling books: Let Freedom Ring: Winning the War of Liberty over Liberalism; Deliver Us from Evil: Defeating Terrorism, Despotism, and Liberalism; and Conservative Victory: Defeating Obama's Radical Agenda, and released a fourth, Live Free or Die, in 2020.[16] PICTURE: By The White House from Washington, DC - President Trump Participates in a Town Hall Interview, Public Domain, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=96341222

On today's show I discuss what a week it's been for dialogue regarding "All Lives Matter". On Tuesday's show I read some tweets from Zuby regarding this topic which I found amazing. That night on Fox News, Joe Concha was on the Sean Hannity Show and talked about what happened to me in June 2020. Then yesterday Tucker Carlson of Fox News interviewed Ye West and Ye discussed why he wore shirts with the phrase "White Lives Matter" on them a few days ago in Paris. So, in a span of a few days we have had a lot of talk about this topic. I ask this question....Why should political affiliation have any bearing on the phrase "All Lives Matter"? That makes no sense to me! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Alderperson Raymond Lopez, 15th ward, is a frequent critic of Mayor Lightfoot's policies and certainly her appointment of David Brown to the position of Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department. Alderperson Lopez is regularly on Twitter unleashing board side attacks against almost every policy that Superintendent Brown has announced since arriving. Unfortunately for everyone Alderperson Lopez unleashes his criticisms on Fox News shows like Tucker Carlson Tonight and The Sean Hannity Show frequently. One can only wonder why a local Chicago Democractic politician would be drawn to the news channel a much as Alderperson Lopez is giving the channel's history of racism, homophobia, and their diehard support of the big election lie. Superintendent David Brown is not without his own problems. Given his history of lying during an internal misconduct investigation during his time in Dallas he certainly was a questionable pick for the job. On today's show we chat with Alderperson Lopez about his topic of crime and violence in Chicago. Alderperson Lopez frequently takes to Twitter to push claims of Chicago Police Department being short officers and that many districts are then also short of officers. These claims are not uncommon in Chicago despite the fact that those lobbing to criticisms cannot say how many officers the CPD should have or how they should arrive at that number. We also touch on the subject of the CPD switching in 2014 from pursuing cases where an individual fired a gun in the commission of a crime to pursuing gun possession arrests. This switch was revealed by a webinar put on by the Kim Foxx's Office. Alderperson Lopez discusses his feelings about that switch and the inability of an agency the size and budget of the CPD to counter Foxx's narrative while at the same time the Mayor and Superintendent Brown challenged Foxx's narrative by bringing zero evidence to back up their claims. Also on the show today we take look at Mayor Lightfoot's Public Safety speech she delivered on Dec 20th. A speech full of flowery rhetoric that paints her administration in great terms but in no way matches the actions and policies of her time in office. In her speech she takes in great detail about the problem with the use of electronic monitoring for pre-trial release. Her claims have now been completely discredited by a recent article that takes a close look at the data and compares it to numbers used repeatedly by the Mayor.
