Snuffles, Hutchinson teeth and saber shins — what do these things all have in common? They are symptoms of syphilis. Also known as the “great mimicker,” syphilis can present itself in many ways. Ericka Hayes, MD, attending physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, addresses the growing problem of congenital syphilis and the rising rates of transmission from mother to child; describes the common symptoms at birth or in early infancy as found in the newborn nursery and at early newborn checkups, including the classic syphilis rash and its variations; stresses the importance of universal STI screening for teens in prevention; and more. Introduction: Minutes 0 to 8:00 We were off for a month, thanks for understanding! Last week was especially hard with the Golden Globes and Spare coming out. Over the break we both watched Glass Onion and The Pale Blue Eye. I watched The Recruit, The Last of Us and Tar. I liked The Recruit and The Last of Us. Chandra loved Tar. She didn't like The Banshees of Inisherin or Triangle of Sadness. She recommends Lady Chatterly's Lover, White Lotus season two and Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. Chandra saw The Woman King and liked Viola Davis's performance but thought it was too long. I saw M3ghan and liked it but wanted it to be campier. Royals: Minutes 8:00 to 36:00 Prince Harry's memoir came out and it was hard to take, especially the first part where he learned his mother died and was then left alone and sent off to boarding school. Harry's love for his father comes through in the book. Spare is topping bestseller lists and setting records around the world. We're both surprised at how dishy the book is, although the leaks spoiled that a little for Chandra. I really like Chandra's analysis that the Netflix series was sunny and positive and was very much from Meghan's perspective while Harry's memoir is gritty, because that's how he is, he keeps track of the slights. We wonder how Meghan has remained so positive after everything she's gone through. Chandra thinks the UK press response to the Oprah interview helped Harry and Meghan decide what to do next. We know that Harry and Meghan have receipts. In Spare Harry told the full bridesmaid's dress/crygate story along with some other anecdotes like Kate getting pissy at Meghan for borrowing her lipgloss, Kate taking offense when Meghan said Kate had “baby brain” and Kate being super snotty to Meghan when she offered some natural cold remedies for William. Harry broke the story that Meghan was offered the Spencer tiara to wear and designed her wedding veil around that. The Queen then offered a tiara, but Angela Kelly tried to delay and block it at every turn. We knew that Kelly was the one leaking that story to paint Meghan as a diva. Like Kate, the stories about William in Spare show how petty he is. William would get jealous of Harry's charity work and little things like Harry being allowed to keep his beard when he got married. It's also clear that Camilla has been leaking stories to the press for a couple of decades. Harry told several stories about how she traded stories about him, his brother and Meghan for positive coverage. Chandra thinks Harry made a choice to blame it all on Camilla while this is common practice among the other royals too. Harry said more about this in the Netflix series. I play a segment from Zoom where we talked about Camilla. The response by the royal family to Harry's biography has been to make ridiculous claims that sound straight out of the abuser's handbook. My favorite was when a royal source said Harry was kidnapped by “a cult of psychotherapy and Meghan.” That was in The Independent. Both Kate and William did events focused on mental health after Spare came out, which wasn't a coincidence. Harry did an interview with his friend Bryony Gordon in which she called him a generational cycle breaker. Harry said in that interview that half of his manuscript was cut to make the book. It's clear there's more dirt to dish. Like he never mentioned why William was so mad in April, 2019 when Camilla was trading stories about him to the press. The coronation is coming up in May, coincidentally on Archie's birthday. Harry wants accountability and an apology. The Sunday Times claims that Charles is willing to talk to Harry before the coronation but The Daily Beast says Charles won't talk to Harry. We've heard that Charles and William haven't texted or called Harry and that Anne and Edward don't want Harry at the coronation. We're also hearing that Charles wants Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to be the one to ban Harry from the coronation. Comments of the Week: Minutes 36:00 to 43 My comment of the week is from Snuffles on Peridot's story about buccal fat removal. Chandra's comment of the week is from susan on the post about Brad Pitt selling his mansion. Thanks for listening bitches!
Introduction: Minutes 0 to 6 Chandra mentions Heather Morris's story about J.Lo rejecting back up dancers who were Virgos. I looked at puppies but they seemed hard to train. Chandra thinks I should get a kitten for a year before I get a dog. Royals: Minutes 6:00 to 24:00 As we've heard Will and Kate, but really just Kate and the kids, are moving to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor. They are keeping all their other properties, making this their fourth, although they supposedly aren't using taxpayer money for it. Kensington Palace confirmed this week that the children would be attending school in Lambrook. It seems like they left the move until the last minute before their kids start school. They are issuing carefully worded statements about not having live-in staff and renting the property. Even the royal reporters that usually run their keen puff pieces are criticizing them for this, like Richard Kay, who called it “clumsily insensitive.” Chandra wrote that this is a calculated risk by the Cambridges that William will inherit the Duchy of Cornwall soon. Meanwhile Harry was in Africa, in Mozambique and Rwanda, as part of his duties as President of African parks. He visited the president of Rwanda and led a delegation of congressman and philanthropists. We heard a couple weeks ago that William would probably speak at the UN, but he's not doing that, he's just holding the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit on Sept. 21 in association with Bloomberg P hilanthropies. William should have his own causes instead of just copying his brother. We got our first episode of Archetypes, Duchess Meghan's podcast. Meghan spoke to her good friend Serena Williams about ambition. Mariah Carey is next week's guest and there are rumors that Beyonce will be on. Meghan and Serena discussed Serena's career and the double standards applied to her. Both Serena and Meghan told never-before-heard stories about scary situations with their kids. Serena's daughter Olympia broke her wrist in a highchair fall during the French Open and baby Archie was almost caught in a fire in his nursery when Meghan and Harry were in Africa. Archie was supposed to be in the nursery but at the last minute the nanny decided to put him on her back to get a snack so he was fine. Then Meghan and Harry had to go to another event and act like everything was fine! In response to this there were sourced quotes in the British press that the heater was smoking, it was unplugged and the crisis was averted, no big deal basically and there was no fire. I play a promotional clip for Archetypes. Meghan seems like she's doing great in California. We liked the podcast but thought it was a little long. We're careful not to criticize her too much because of the unhinged way the British commentators go after her. Omid Scobie addresses this in his latest column and he said that they're basically proving her point. He also mentioned that the Sussexes offered to be half in and were rejected by the palace. I play a clip from Zoom where we talked about this. As Lisa mentioned in the Zoom, this was a restrained conversation. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: Minutes 24 to 30:30 We got the redacted report of what happened on the plane in 2016 that caused Angelina Jolie to file for divorce from Brad Pitt. We got this because Angelina anonymously filed for a Freedom of Information Act request. The details were worse than we expected. Brad's response was to smear and gaslight Angelina in the press including saying that Angelina is doing this for “media purposes” and that she's already known this for six years and is doing it to “inflict pain” on him. Pitt's team seems certain that the FBI case won't be reopened. They've also claimed that Angelina is just jealous of him. If Angelina wanted to ruin Brad she would have released this information during his Oscar campaign. I play a segment from Zoom where we talked about this. Chandra doesn't think Brad will sue Angelina for defamation for this because she has her legal ducks in a row. He may pull a different legal move though. Comments of the week: Minutes 30:30 to end My comment of the week is from Owlsyn (Ableism is Not Cool) on the post about Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Dr. Oz posting a ridiculous video blaming Biden for the price of “crudite.” Chandra's comment of the week is from Snuffles on the post about William wanting to do the school run in Berkshire. Thanks for listening bitches!

Introduction: Minutes 0 to 3:45 Chandra's washer broke so she got a new washer/dryer. The AC in my car is broken too. I want a newer car but I'm going to wait. Supreme Court: Minutes 3:45 to 7:00 On Monday night, when the Met Gala had wrapped and we were headed to bed, Politico leaked a draft majority opinion from Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito in the Hobbs case, stating that Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey must be overruled. The leak seems to be a power move by conservatives. We kind of knew this was coming, but it still sucks. Met Gala: Minutes 7:00 to 17:00 So many attendees ignored the theme of Gilded Glamor completely. Chandra thought the Louis Vuitton people had the best and the worst looks. Chandra's best dressed was Billie Eilish. We loved the Thom Browne looks as they were on theme along with Laura Harrier in H&M. Chandra thought Blake Lively looked very mall girl in her Versace. I play a segment from Zoom where we talked about the Met Gala. We liked Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B's dresses but think that Megan didn't need the high slit. Sarah Jessica Parker put a lot of thought and research into her gown. Hillary Clinton had historical women's names embroidered into her gown. Royals: Minutes 17:00 to 26:15 We're getting a lot of follow up stories from Tina Brown's book The Palace Papers. Chandra has been excerpting from the chapters about Meghan. They're framed as being negative about Meghan but they really show how bad palace staffers are at their jobs. We heard that the palace staff couldn't deal with Meghan's level of directness. It sounds like they were used to working light easy schedules. Tina Brown also basically confirmed that Angela Kelly was the one who leaked the negative tiara stories about Meghan. She's also trying to smear Meghan for not enjoying the Australian tour, but it just sounds like Meghan wanted to do more work. We see Meghan's characteristics – her work ethic, her type A personality – as strengths, but she's being smeared for them. It's been confirmed by Prince Harry's friend Nacho Figueras that Harry will be playing polo in a team with him called Los Padres. Their schedule goes into the weekend of the jubbly, which is June 2nd to the 5th. It seems like the Sussexes aren't planning on going to the jubilee, but we don't have confirmation about that. I play a segment from Zoom where we talked about this. As Chandra has been covering, Tina Brown's book is nasty about everyone. In interviews she's anti-Sussex but is still saying Harry needs to come back to England. Comments of the Week: Minutes 26:15 to end Kaiser's comment of the week is from Snuffles on the post about Angela Kelly leaking the tiara story. My comment of the week is from Angela H on Hecate's story where an actual vampire who was giving advice to Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly on safely extracting blood from each other. Here's a link to the Express shirt I bought, which I don't really recommend. Thanks for listening bitches!

Intro: Minutes 0 to 2:30 Chandra stayed up on election night and I went to bed early. Our sleep schedules are screwed up from daylight savings time. The election: Minutes 2:30 to 16:45 As of our recording on Thursday afternoon, all that was left to do was call individual states. It looked like Biden had won Nevada and Arizona and in Pennsylvania they were still counting the absentee ballots. Georgia was getting really close. Trump’s lawsuits in Georgia and Michigan had been dismissed. Trump always tells on himself by asking for the vote counts to be stopped. His speech early Wednesday morning made it clear he didn’t understand how early returns work. Chandra has been laughing since she saw the vote count in Arizona. There are a lot of exit polls and demographics coming out about who voted for Biden. Chandra wants us to wait a few weeks until this all shakes out. I play a section from Zoom where Zakia assures April that Pennsylvania will go for Biden. Chandra has organized in Pennsylvania and they have a lot of blue pockets. I play a segment from Zoom when we had just learned that Michigan had been called for Biden. Courtney makes that announcement and Zakia says Trump no longer has a way to win. Chandra says Biden’s goal was to get Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin back to blue. I mention the Eminem ad for Biden and Chandra says it’s nice to see Eminem stand up for his beliefs. Chandra mentions that Biden is being saved by Black voters. I play clips of videos from Detroit where an organizer says that Detroit will deliver the state for Biden. Another guy went into a Trump crowd and trolled them, yelling “Black Lives Matter.” The best scenario over the next few months would be Trump going to one of his resort properties. Chandra saw Nicole Wallace say on MSNBC that Trump won’t participate in a civil transfer of power. Kardashians: Minutes 16:45 to 23:15 During our break Kim Kardashian flew her friends out to celebrate her 40th birthday on a private island. It was Marlon Brandon’s private island in the South Pacific and the flight was 11 hours. Kim’s tone deaf photos and posts about it launched so many memes. Here are the ones Chandra mentioned. The most disturbing part about the photos were the people in the background serving them wearing masks. Kendall Jenner had her 25th birthday at a rooftop bar at a club. There were reportedly 100 people there and there’s a video of a waiter in a mask moving back as he holds the cake for her while she blows out the candles. She supposedly had people take rapid covid tests, but those are not accurate. We clown on Kim’s budget-looking birthday cake, which looked like a basic tiered cake with a Barbie stuck on top of it. Chandra mentions the 60k people who voted for Kanye, which is despicable. We don’t know who Kim voted for. I play a segment from Zoom where Ameerah talks about the video of Kendall blowing out the candles and Jasmine wonders why they didn’t have the party at one of their giant mansions. Royals: Minutes 23:15 to 32 We heard early in the week that Prince William had coronavirus sometime in April and never disclosed it. Several royal commentators who are very pro-Cambridge were openly mad at William for hiding his diagnosis. We heard that Prince Charles had covid in late March. Around that time Boris Johnson also had coronavirus and was deathly ill. Prince William was still meeting with people around that time and wasn’t wearing a mask. No one knows when he had it and he had a duty to disclose. Plus of course they didn’t do contact tracing if he hid it. We wonder why this story came out now and why The Sun’s exclusive was so oddly worded. William supposedly made the announcement at an event, but no one knows the event. The Daily Beast’s Tom Sykes did a story about this wondering about the timeline and how and why The Sun got the scoop. Chandra thinks William gave The Sun this story to hide a bigger lead they had, maybe about Rose Hanbury. I play a segment from Zoom where Courtney, Jasmine and Rhiannon talk about this. User Feedback: Minutes 32 to 36 Thanks to my aunt's neighbor, Meghan, for the nice email. Thanks Stephanie for your tweet about the photos Chandra picks. Comments of the Week: Minutes 36 to 40 Chandra’s comment of the week is from Snuffles on the post where Chandra joked that Duchess Meghan should be Senator Sussex. My comment of the week is from Lemons on the post about Alton Brown

Marcy plays a new game with Connor and Sharni they conceived when wanting to make roleplaying games more accessible for everyone, SYNarios! In this first instalment, Darling Dashingwood the complete trickster of a bard (played by Connor) and Snuffles, the talking chess-playing dog (played by Sharni) must go into a supermarket, to purchase an whole assortment of things: milk, cookies, bread, and of course, chewing gum. And of course, chaos ensues from there. SYNarios is a Dungeons and Dragons, Choose Your Own Adventure blend of fun storytelling and roleplaying mayhem, without all of the complicated mechanics tabletop role playing games like DnD usually have. Each SYNario has a different scenario, and different characters, but choices within each SYNario are at the mercy of probability (aka a 20 sided D20 die). Expect lots of fun, and whimsical chaos, as each player improv their way through each SYNario, bouncing off each other, the Game Master (GM), and the scenario itself! Originally broadcast on Sunday the 10th of November. Produced and edited by Marcy Di Bartolomeo.

Meanwhile, Snuffles is back on speaking terms with Harry, and Umbridge is getting her stubby hands in the middle of everything (literally and figuratively). We hope this episode will be enough to buoy you through the week! If not, look on the bright side--at least you'll have time to do Snape's essay! Harry the Sneaky Codemaster is back, which means that unfortunately, "Snuffles" is too. Quidditch practice is completely lousy, but it definitely isn't Ron's fault! Welcome to the Queen of Wands, a palace of mirrors in which flames leap and multiply! Forthright and frank, sensual and feline, she possesses a magnetism that makes her the center of attention wherever she goes. We release this episode just as the Sun rounds through her domain, the last decan of Pisces and the first two decans of Aries. We consider her relationship with the 10 of Cups, 2 of Wands and 3 of Wands - her quest to dominate and her yearning to surrender. We speak of war queens and the thyrsus wand of Bacchus, the pine cone and the sunflower. We speak of salamanders, cougars, leopards, lions, and...of course...Snuffles the Black Cat! To learn more about the suit of Wands, the world of Atziluth, the watery mysteries of the Queens, the sephira Binah, the color schemes of the cards, and so much else, be sure to visit us at www.patreon.com/fortuneswheelhouse. You can also shop for Fortune's Wheelhouse T-shirts, mugs, backpacks, stickers, and more! at our RedBubble shop.
In the penultimate chapter of Goblet of Fire, Alice and Martha marvel at J.K. Rowling's writing abilities, break down Sirius -- er, Snuffles -- and Harry's relationship, and find themselves surprisingly impressed with and proud of a certain Potions professor. Bill is back, acting cooler than ever, Snuffles sends his best wishes, and no one but Hermione seems to be able to remember that Muggle technology goes haywire at Hogwarts. Luckily, there are spells to point Harry in the right direction, literally! Alice and Martha also admire Cedric's true Hufflepuff characteristics and consider the ways in which Harry could have benefitted from a longer friendship with him. Devastation looms, but for the moment, everyone is grinning... Please consider supporting us on Patreon! www.patreon.com/realweirdsisters. Spoiler warning! Limited Cel - A Generational Hanna-Barbera Cartoon Review Show
This week, we review the exciting, slightly culturally insensitive show starring Quick Draw McGraw. We get a lot of other… questionable things from the Quick Draw McGraw Show. For example, the little jerk Augie Doggie, and his idiot father Doggie Daddy or the private eyes, Snooper and Blabber. Luckily, we get to see our favorite, Snagglepuss, and El Kabong! Also, Mike interrupt the show to pull up a clip of Snuffles the dog. Nick thought it was funny so he... Read More Read More
