The Tillamook County Creamery Association (TCCA) is an Oregon-based dairy co-op and manufacturer known for their award-winning cheese, yogurt, butter and most importantly to this story – their deliciously creamy ice cream. Tillamook's new ice cream manufacturing facility in Decatur, Illinois marks a few firsts for the company: it will be TCCA's first owned and operated manufacturing facility outside of Oregon and its only facility solely dedicated to ice cream production. How can a dairy operation balance the ESG demands of consumers while still creating delicious cheeses and ice cream? Tillamook County Creamery Association executive vice president of stewardship Paul Snyder joined The Food Institute Podcast to discuss the brand's sustainability goals, its Oregon-based history, and the company's expansion to the U.S. East Coast. More About Paul Snyder: Paul Snyder joined the Tillamook County Creamery Association (TCCA) in 2019, as Executive Vice President of Stewardship. In this role, Paul leads several functions including corporate responsibility, sustainability, community engagement, corporate communications, government affairs, farm services, and co-op member relations. Before joining TCCA, Paul served as Global Vice President – Corporate Responsibility at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), based in Atlanta, Georgia. In that role, Paul co-led IHG's global corporate responsibility function and directly oversaw sustainability strategy and execution for the company's nearly 5,200 hotels worldwide. Additionally, he directed the company's Americas Public Affairs activities, its U.S. based Foundation and several community-based and diversity-focused initiatives. He also held various other leadership positions during his time at IHG in development, operations, marketing, and brand management. Prior to joining IHG, Paul worked at Marriott International in the company's Brand Management, Development and IT departments. He started his career in the hospitality industry with Winegardner & Hammons, Inc. as a line level employee at a Holiday Inn hotel and was promoted into managerial positions in both the Food & Beverage and Rooms departments. In addition to his role at TCCA, Paul currently serves on the board of directors for Newtrient, an organization that partners with dairy farmers, technology providers and other stakeholders to help them make informed decisions regarding manure management opportunities and challenges. Additionally, he serves on the Advisory Committee of Oregon's Greenhouse Gas Emissions Program 2021 Rulemaking — a new Climate Protection Program to limit greenhouse gas emissions from some of the most significant sources in Oregon. Prior to relocating to Oregon to join TCCA, Paul was a committed community leader in Atlanta, having served on the Boards of the Georgia Center for Non-Profits, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Opera and the Metro Atlanta Chapter of the American Red Cross. Welcome to Australian Transformers Weekly, bringing you Transformers news from around the world and across Australia.   This is episode 270 We are recording live on Sunday June 4th, 2023 wtf!   In this weeks episode: Rise of the planet of the beast of the transmorphing animals is just around the corner, so let's have a little look at what's been released already and have some wild speculation.    All of that and more is coming up in this week's episode - after this! OPENING CREDITS   WELCOME   Hosts introduction   Movie News: So there's been 49 tv spots, 18 trailers, I'm sure most of the film has already been shown to us. But let's start with the trailers.    So from the official trailer, primal tells us the maximals have been in hiding along time, by the sounds of it from unicron. To humans. But now unicron has found them and wants to destroy them and seemingly the planet they inhabit.            A resent reviewer let slip unicron sends scourge to earth in search of the trans warp key which the maximals stole a long time ago and which prevents unicron from traveling through space.    We should also mention, even thou it's being marketed as transformers 7, and streaming services are bumping the last knight up into the top ten most popular movies hopefully not because movie goers think its a sequel to that. But it has been confirmed its a sequel to bumble bee. Takes place in 1994 but dose it exist in the same universe as the bay films?   Primal also tells prime his never faced anything like this. And prime also says this isn't our war presumably referring to the auto bots. So are they trying to tell us the predacons and maximals are a earlier evolution of transformers and not one from the far future? (Beast wars back story may be required.)   And lastly looking at plot we have the terrorcons lead by scourge seemly the new minions of unicron doing his bidding on earth. Max you might have a better understanding of g1 terrorcons, weren't they a combiner team?            But they are the new foe in the film. No deceptions, and no predacons. Why do a beasts film and not have the predacons.    So that's most of the plot stuff, let's look,at some of these characters.  Mirage and Noah, Arcee Wheel jack Bumblebee Stratosphere  Prime   Primal Rhinox Cheetor Air Razor   Scourge Nightbird Battle trap Freezer Transit   Unicron   Final thoughts, there's been some news posts online talking about the production of the film being a mess etc. I think it's important not to listen too hard to news sites writing about films they aren't fans of.    So how are we going to see it. Paramount and hasbro Australia threw together a special early screening for Victorian transformers fans for this Thursday June 8th. Since this episode will be out before that screening I'm not going to say where it is so there isn't a rush of fans trying to sneak in. But it's not the only early screening. Event cinemas has a advanced screening on June 9th, Dendy Cinemas have one on June 10th and village cinemas have one on June 12th. All a week or so ahead of the 22nd nationwide release date.    Max and I both have invites to the June 8th screening but unfortunately I won't be able to make it but max is flying in from Adelaide to attend. In this episode, Rob and Jo discuss the CSB's investigation report on the 2020 toxic gas release and chemical fire at Bio-Lab Facility in Westlake, Louisiana. On August 27, 2020, strong winds from Hurricane Laura damaged buildings at the facility, causing rainwater to come into contact with the trichloroisocyanuric acid (TCCA) that was stored inside. A chemical reaction began, and the TCCA began to decompose, releasing heat that started a fire, while also releasing a large amount of hazardous gases that traveled offsite. Today, Rob and Jo provide some background about this Bio-Lab facility, discuss the events surrounding the incident, and cover the consequences of the incident. Then they discuss the CSB's five identified safety issues that contributed to the event, what types of companies might be at risk for similar events, and how any facility can prevent an incident like this one.
