It's time for a change of pace, and this week O'Dell covers the case of Joyce McKinney, a 1970's beauty queen who was accused of kidnapping a Mormon missionary and making him her sex slave. Joyce claimed it was all for love, but the missionary firmly disagreed. Joyce's case was everywhere in the Tabloids, and there was even a documentary titled "Tabloid" that chronicled the entire incident. We are in full-on spooky season mode now. We've left the awful horror movies behind us, and we are here with two extra creepy paranormal tales. O'Dell kicks things off with a very famous haunting that plagued a young Nova Scotia woman in the late 1800s. After an attempted assault, Esther Cox began to experience unexplained phenomena late at night. It started as knocking on the walls, and soon escalated into things being thrown around the room, writing on the ceiling and spontaneous fires. The strange thing about this is the haunting wasn't relegated to Esther's home, and cropped up in different ways in different locations. Erin follows up with the true story of Anneliese Michel whose story inspired the film, "The Exorcism of Emily Rose". Anneliese believed she was possessed, and would receive as many as 60 exorcisms in two months. Was it simply a neurological disorder, or was she really possessed by several demons? We close things out with a WTF story about a man buried alive at a festival, a few "Have you ever" questions to cleanse the palette and some spooky season inspired shower thoughts.Chapters:00:00 - Intro00:51 - Festivals and Shout-outs03:51 - O'Dell's Case: The Great Amherst Mystery25:04 - Erin's Case: The Possession of Anneliese Michel41:06 - WTF of the Week: Festival No No49:40 - Palette Cleanser: Have You Ever?54:56 - Shower ThoughtsSupport us by becoming a memberSend us a tipLeave us a voice messageDo you have a missing loved one and you'd like us to share their story? On this episode, O'Dell kicks things off with another Canadian MMIW case. 24-year-old Chelsea Poorman went missing after a night out with her sister. Twenty months later, her decomposing body would be found lying on the back porch of an abandoned mansion. Despite having four missing fingers, police deemed her death "not suspicious".After the break, Erin discusses the haunted Hotel Monte Vista in Arizona, and then O'Dell shares this week's WTF story about a man who was found inside a toilet tank in Japan. Water, Wind, Wine Ministries's Podcast

What's your path?  Hi!             Have you ever noticed that there are certain times when you follow God, and everything runs smoothly and quickly? What about the times that you follow God and you come under spiritual assault? In this week's session, I discuss how the path of the righteous is supposed to look. Isaiah 26:7 {NIV} says that “The path of the righteous is level; you, the Upright one, make the way of the righteous smooth.” As well, Proverbs 15:19 {NIV} states that “The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway.” The path that God has His righteousness on {aka. Believers} is supposed to be smooth and fast- like a highway. The reason for this is the same principle behind taking the interstate as opposed to surface streets to your destination. Both will get you there, but one will get you there faster and more economically. God wants us to step on to the path He has called us to and He wants us to get to our destination faster than we want to get to our destination! So why don't we?             There are several reasons for this, one of which is the fact that when we boldly take our promised land, the enemy attacks and resists us. The attack comes because of the Word not us personally. However, this is a non-issue for the New Testament believer because we have been given authority over the wicked one.              The next reason we experience difficulty is because we become lazy. As I mentioned above, Proverbs 15:19 states that the way of a lazy mans is a hedge of thorns. The more we fool around and waste the time God has given us, the more our path pokes and prods us to get back on track. It is like the internal Holy Spirit GPS saying “Rerouting” or “Return to the route.” It is also what I call making the right thing easy and the wrong thing difficult.              There is certainly much more I could say regarding this but for now, I'll restrict my remarks to those in the session!!!  Be blessed to be a blessing Wednesdaywww.waterwindwine.orgI used “Dark Horse” by Tigerblood Jewel in this session:https://www.epidemicsound.com/track/Zu3ahYiIZV/  PS. It's back! After too long 'Everybody hates your brand.' has returned. The Season 2 premiere is here and this one is about shedding light on the challenges of working client-side that marketing agencies don't know. From spending a tiny amount of time actually marketing to dealing with insane short term pressures, client-side marketing is a very different world to agency-life with unique challenges. This episode hopes to enable empathy within the agency/client relationship and in turn strengthen it. We also talk about the future plans for the podcast.External links referenced:Rob's Twitter account for podcast ideas. PART 01: When the US Treasury yield curve inverts it is a warning that recession is on the horizon. What about when the Eurodollar Futures yield curve rolls over on its back? Not good news either. Would you believe that there's a kink in the curve now? Would you believe it's not great news?PART 02: The yields on German sovereign bonds began to tumble in May - now we know why. German Factory Orders and Industrial Production delivered lousy results that month. Germany is an export power so these negatives say a lot about the global customer - that's us.PART 03: A review of US, Chinese and global purchasing manager indices for manufacturing and services shows just a few too many "not great" readings.
