Access All Areas: Bee France on a Lifetime of INXSMarv sits down with Bee France, host of not one but two INXS podcasts — INXS Access All Areas and Listen Like Fans — for a sprawling, story-packed conversation about the band that has shaped her life for nearly 40 years. From an accidental introduction via a friend's Duran Duran fandom to becoming genuine friends with band members like Tim Farriss and Kirk Pengilly, Bee shares how a teenage concert obsession turned into a thriving podcasting career and a global fan community spanning 40+ countries. They cover the band's early history and lineup origins (Guinness and Doctor Dolphin!), dig into album-by-album favourites, revisit iconic live moments (Wembley Stadium, the Aria Awards, the Brit Awards Oasis controversy), and talk candidly about the harder topics fans avoid — Michael Hutchence's death, the misconceptions around Paula Yates, and the emotional weight some fans still carry. Bee also opens up about the mechanics of podcasting: production tools, working with a co-host across cities, AI-assisted editing (and why she won't let AI fully edit a show), and her hopes for INXS's 50th anniversary and their long-overdue nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.Devil Loose: The Life and Music of Harry Vanda podcast
Our guest in this episode is Jen Moss, Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of JAR Audio, a premier branded podcast agency. With a rich background in public broadcasting at the CBC and creative writing, Jen helps brands like Amazon and Lululemon move beyond surface-level noise to facilitate deep, nuanced conversations that earn genuine trust. We explore the critical distinction between using AI for efficiency versus connection, the power of acknowledging the “elephant in the room” to build credibility, and why the messy human process of creation is more valuable than a perfect, generated result.Key points discussed include:* Brands have an obligation to “show their strings” and engage deeply in social discourse to earn trust.* Draw a hard line with AI: use it for efficiency tasks, but never for the work of human connection.* Combat the “empty mall” of the internet by producing less content of higher quality and specificity.Listen to the podcast to find out more.Innovabiz Substack is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.Show Notes from this episode with Jen Moss, JAR AudioIt was an absolute pleasure to welcome Jen Moss, Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of JAR Audio, to the Innova.Buzz podcast. Jen brings a fascinating blend of deep journalistic integrity from her CBC days and a sharp eye for brand storytelling. Our conversation felt like a masterclass in stripping away the superficial to get to the “nitty gritty” of what makes communication actually land: nuance, patience, and a willingness to “show your strings.”Jen started us off with a refreshing take on the role of brands today. We moved past the idea of companies just selling widgets; Jen argues that brands, as powerful entities using resources and employing thousands, actually have an obligation to wade into social discourse. It's not just about winning hearts and minds; it's about earning them. She posits that the more a brand can drop the facade and engage with society on a human level, the more likely we are to trust them. It's a move from transactional to relational, facilitated by the patience and depth that only a podcast can really provide. The “Elephant in the Room” Strategy: Building Trust by Owning the MessI loved Jen's practical example regarding a mining company client. We discussed the inherent “trust problem” in that industry, given that mining is dirty and people are skeptical. Instead of shying away or painting a rosy, green-washed picture, Jen advised them to lean right into the discomfort. They produced a series explicitly tackling the trust deficit before talking about their innovations in electrification. Jen's point was clear: you cannot underestimate the intelligence of your audience. If you don't acknowledge the elephant in the room, the skepticism and the past mistakes, people will just tune you out. But by honoring that hesitation, you earn the right to share the rest of your story. The rest of these show notes continue for paid subscribers, where we unpack the deeper ideas Jen surfaces beneath the surface of her stories: how specificity becomes universality, why process matters more than polish, and what it really takes to keep human connection alive in a world drifting toward the “empty mall” of AI‑generated content. If you're drawn to thoughtful conversations about storytelling, craft, and the parts of creativity we can't outsource, I'd love you to join the inner circle. It's where we explore the unpolished insights that rarely make it into polished episodes, the moments that sharpen our curiosity and keep us honest as creators.Maybe they'll keep your curiosity alive too.Local Stories with Global EchoesDrawing on her background teaching creative writing, Jen shared a beautiful insight about the power of specificity. We often think we need to go broad to reach everyone, but Jen flipped that on its head. She believes a hyper-local story, like a mother in East Vancouver dealing with postpartum depression, resonates with a mother in Tanzania because the feeling is universal. Whether it's a community bank or a global tech giant, the lesson is the same: the more specific and honest the story, the more global its impact. It's about resonances that “translate out,” bridging gaps between vastly different lives. The AI Line in the Sand: Efficiency vs. ConnectionNaturally, we ventured into the “wild west” of AI. Jen's agency draws a hard, fascinating line: use AI for efficiency, never for connection. She compared using AI for creative connection to taking an elevator to the top of a building instead of the stairs. You get there faster, but your legs don't get any stronger. If the goal is to deepen a relationship or facilitate a nuanced conversation, AI acts as a distancing mechanism, creating a “palpable uncanny valley.” Jen was adamant: we can use the tools to tighten edits or research (carefully!), but the moment we outsource the heart of the message, we lose the game. The Value of the Struggle: Why Process MattersThis led to a profound exchange about the “process” of art. We talked about photography, specifically the difference between an AI-perfected sunrise and one where you woke up at 4 AM, shivered in the cold, and waited for the light. Jen argues that the process, the cold, the coffee, the waiting, is what imbues the final product with value. In an era where we can't tell the difference between a real and a fake image visually, the “show your work” aspect becomes critical. We care about the art because a human lived through something to make it.Fighting the “Empty Mall” SyndromeJen didn't mince words about the current state of the web, referencing the “enshittification” of the internet, a place risking becoming an “empty mall” of generated noise. Her antidote? Do less, but do it better. Resist the urge to use AI just to blast a “fire hose of content” at people. Instead, treat a podcast or a piece of content as a contract with your audience, a promise not to waste their time with mediocrity. Quality, authenticity, and respect for the listener's time are the only things that will keep the lights on in the digital mall.In Summary:Jen Moss offers a sobering yet inspiring roadmap for content in the age of AI. Her message is a call to arms for creators and brands: Stop trying to hide the mess, stop automating the heart out of your work, and start respecting the intelligence of your audience. By focusing on deep, specific, human-centric storytelling, we can fight the noise and build relationships that actually mean something. The Buzz - Our Innovation RoundHere are Jen's answers to the questions of our innovation round. Listen to the conversation to get the full scoop.* Most innovative use of AI to enhance human relationships: Using a VR environment where AI praises something a student hates, challenging them to then reclaim agency by remixing that text into a poem.* Best thing to integrate AI and human connection: A “Tale of Two Podcasts” experiment where they pitted a human-produced show against an AI-produced one, proving that 99 out of 100 listeners preferred the warmth of the human version.* Differentiate by leveraging AI: Be constantly curious about the tools, but differentiate by strictly prioritizing quality, authenticity, and human oversight in a sea of mediocrity.ActionTrust that if you have something to say, there are people out there who want to hear it; drill down into who you are talking to and why, and you won't go wrong.Reach OutYou can reach out and thank Jen via her website or email her directly at jen@jarpodcasts.com.Links:* Website - JAR Audio* LinkedIn* YouTube* BlogCool Things About Jen* Mingus, the 22-Pound Cat: A self-proclaimed empty-nester, Jen shares her home with a husky-cross dog named Luna and a rather substantial 22-pound orange tabby cat named Mingus.* Marketing Maverick: Despite running a successful branded podcast agency, Jen's secret to success is her “deep dislike of most marketing tactics,” driving her focus on authentic connection over superficial strategies.* AI-Powered Poet: Jen is actively exploring the creative potential of AI, including building an AI-driven immersive VR poetry experience with her students at the University of British Columbia.VideoThanks for reading Innovabiz Substack! Step behind the curtain and plug into the heartbeat of rock and roll with Talk Louder and Laughingmonkeymusic—two unapologetically passionate podcasts where music legends meet real talk, and deep cuts get the spotlight they deserve.Hosted by lifelong music fans and industry insiders Jason, David, and Shawn, these shows are more than interviews—they're full-blown conversations, fueled by a love of the craft, a respect for the road, and just the right amount of chaos.Between them, they've spoken with icons, innovators, unsung heroes, and rising stars from across every genre and decade. Think guitar gods, punk pioneers, metal maniacs, and soulful storytellers—all opening up in ways you won't hear anywhere else. From tales of studio magic and tour bus madness to creative journeys, gear talk, and the ever-changing music business, no topic is off limits. What sets these podcasts apart? It's the chemistry. Jason, David, and Shawn bring different perspectives, but share one thing in common: they get it. They know the music, they've lived the life, and they ask the questions fans actually want answers to. They'll geek out on deep cuts, laugh at absurd road stories, and let artists tell their stories—uncut and unfiltered.Whether you're a die-hard vinyl collector, a working musician, or just someone who loves a good rock ‘n roll tale, these podcasts deliver the goods with insight, humor, and heart.

If we want to understand the timing of Yeshua's Third-Day resurrection, we must first understand how the priestly families of the House of Tzadok ("Zadok") defined a day. For the priestly House of Tzadok (Ezekiel 44:23-24), a 24-hour day was measured from sunrise to sunrise. For the Pharisee Separatists, a 24-hour day was measured from sunset to sunset. These measurements of the passage of time were two reckoning systems that operated side-by-side at the time of Yeshua's public ministry. Also, to understand the timing of Yeshua's Third-Day resurrection, it is important to recognize how these two religious groups defined the starting and ending dates for the 50 days and 7 Sabbaths Count of the Omer based on Leviticus 23:15. Faith Horizons | Discovering the kingdom of God in Kansas City One Conversation at a Time
There are a few changes I wanted to make the listeners aware of. In 2020 I started Two Podcasts, Faith Horizons and Joy Valley. The purpose of the Faith Horizons podcast is to discover the kingdom of God in Kansas City one conversation at a time. Through this podcast you learn about the practical ways businesses and ministries are representing the kingdom of God in Kansas City. The second podcast is called Joy Valley. Its purpose is to interview those who are focused on Christian based trauma and emotional healing ministries in Kansas City. These ministries help those who are dealing with spiritual heart issues. I interview counselors and organizations who help individuals overcome their internal struggles. A few examples of these struggles would include grief, identity, or misunderstanding of God.After thinking about it and praying for some time, I am going to start publishing the Joy Valley podcast on both Faith Horizons and Joy Valley. To identify the different episodes, I will put Joy Valley in the titles of the podcasts that are Joy Valley. MPR News host Cathy Wurzer spoke to two podcast hosts who offer the inside scoop on the town. Brett Ross hosts “My Ely Story” and Lacey Squier hosts "What's Up, Ely?”

I really don't even want to describe this one, it's so unbelievably funny and stupid you should just listen with no preconceived notion. Mark Smalls is the first guest on the show, and the bars pretty damn high now. And so is Andrew in the second half of the pod this week. Alright thats all you get quit reading the description and listen to this.
Paul is ready to record another thrilling episode of CheapShow this week, but Eli forgot to tell him he doesn't have the time. He's off to Florida (again) to visit his family so he can't record a full edition of the pod. Undefeated. Paul whips out his time machine macguffin and hops between the present (or the past, as of the recording) into the future (or the present… It really doesn't matter) to see if Mr Biffo is interested, once again, in taking on a timey-wimey Price of Shite. This (last) week, the POS items come from a PO Box delivery and contain three cute charity shop curated curios. Both Mr Biffo and Eli will evaluate these items and guess the price, but which one will come out victorious? Only time will tell. Oh, and it also seems like there are more nefarious schemes afoot behind the scenes, but what can it all be leading to? Yes, it's a pointlessly gimmicky episode, folks! Enjoy! This is a vulnerable one. Lol.
In a time-hopping edition of CheapShow, Paul is hopping backwards and forwards in time to challenge both Eli and Mr Biffo to a game of The Price of Shite. Why? Well… With Eli still in America, Paul has to record an episode of the podcast with someone, and luckily Mr Biffo was available to guess the cost of the charity shop tat. However, Paul realises that he can hop forward a week and task a returning Eli to the exact same game. As Paul bounces back and forth, Eli and Biffo go head-to-head to see who will reign supreme. Along the way they'll talk mutant trains, monkey cruelty, pepper holes, unusual smells, and old toys. All Paul needs to do is hand out the P'twings. Hopefully he can at least manage that. Confused? Don't be! You're getting two podcasts for the price of none! RATE AND REVIEW this podcast on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/PeterSchiff/reviews/ Two Podcasts in One Day! For those of you who were worried that I wasn't going to be able to do a podcast today to talk about the stock market or the economy because I already did a podcast earlier this morning, well, you're wrong! Here I am, doing my second podcast of the day. This may be an unprecedented event. I don't know if I've ever recorded 2 podcasts in the same day. Don't Miss This Morning's Podcast on the Unconstitutionality of Obamacare The reason I did the earlier podcast was because I wanted to address the topic of the Federal court in Texas striking down the ACA individual mandate and rendering the entire Affordable Care Act unconstitutional. I would encourage you to listen to that podcast if you are interested in this topic or the Constitution to listen to it in its entirety. Not a Crash, but Regular Volatility But let's talk about another big down Monday. As I suggested when I did my podcast on Friday, I'm still thinking that there is a possibility of a Black Monday type event this year. I said we were running out of Mondays because we only had 3 left, and now one down. This, again was not a crash, but the Dow did close down better than 500 points. At one point, we were down over 600. You know, these big drops are not becoming a recurring event - they add up, right? Worst December Start Since 1980 If you look at the charts, we look extremely vulnerable to a big drop. I read that already, we're off to the worse start for a December since 1980. That was really the end of the last bear market. We had a bear market that went from 1966 to 1982, so the last time we had a December this week was at the tail end of that long-term secular bear market.
