This may come as a surprise to some people, but Reagan conservatism is thriving among student activists on college campuses across America. And it's all thanks to Young America's Foundation (YAF). The president of YAF, former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, joins Rep. Crenshaw to talk about how this organization has had so much success bringing a new generation of high school and college students into the conservative movement. They cover persuasion techniques that work, how to engage leftists on college campuses, overcoming the challenge of making young voters interested in serious policy issues like Social Security, and what every young person aspiring to be a politician needs to consider first. In the last half of the interview, Gov. Walker and Rep. Crenshaw discuss how to solve America's homelessness and mental health crises, and how Walker passed sweeping reforms and defeated the unions during his time as Governor of Wisconsin. Follow Scott Walker on Twitter at @ScottWalker.
Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” talks to former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker about his reaction to the midterm elections; how Ohio became a red state while Michigan became a blue state; how the real divide is between white-collar workers, who had the luxury of remote work, and blue-collar workers, who didn't; how even young children are being subjected to communist indoctrination in schools; how a Trump 2024 campaign could affect a Ron DeSantis presidential run; why school choice is vital to protecting the young from indoctrination in schools; why YAF focuses more on the students at liberal colleges; how prominent Democrat Susan Rice wound up with a red-pilled son; the growing divide between urban and suburban voters; and much more. Former Vice-President Mike Pence is trying to rally conservatives around a common cause after the disastrous consequences of the 2020 election. Over the past year, he launched a non-profit called “Advancing American Freedom” (AAF), which has just released the “Freedom Agenda.” So far, he's the backing of dozens of high profile conservatives including former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, Newt Ginrich, Rick Santorum, and Jim DeMint to just name a few. Recently, AAF Executive Director Paul Teller and Rudy Olivo sat down with the MacIver Institute to answer some tough questions. - How is the “Freedom Agenda” different from Paul Ryan's 2012 “Path to Prosperity”? - Mike Pence is a polarizing figure on the right. How do you overcome that? - How do you bridge the gap between the Trump and never-Trump camps? - Did Mike Pence launch this non-profit as a precursor to running for office again? Governor Walker was raised with a heart for public service, patriotism, and hard work. He moved to the small town of Delavan, Wisconsin, when he was in third grade. There, his father was a minister and his mother worked part time as a bookkeeper and secretary. Scott was active in school, sports, church, Scouts, and American Legion's Badger Boys State and Boys Nation programs. In June 1993, Scott was elected to the state assembly, where he helped lead the way on welfare reform, public safety, and educational opportunities. In 2002, he was elected to the Milwaukee County executive office. In this position, Scott worked to reform the scandal-ridden county government and faithfully kept his promise to spend taxpayer money as if it were his own. In 2008, he won re-election with nearly 60 percent of the vote. On November 2, 2010, Scott was elected the 45th Governor of Wisconsin. Inheriting a $3.6 billion budget deficit, $800 million worth of unpaid bills, and an eight percent unemployment rate, he immediately implemented reforms to renew economic revival, fiscal order, and government accountability in Wisconsin. Scott became the only governor in American history to survive a recall election on June 5, 2012. He was re-elected in 2014 and sworn into a second term on January 5, 2015. He serves on the boards of Students for Life Action, American Federation for Children, and the Center for State-led National Debt Solutions. Who Was Karl Marx?: The Men, the Motives and the Menace Behind Today's Rampaging American Left May 19, 2021 by James Simpson The Left is rampaging across our nation today. Portland, Oregon is burning and many other cities face continuous looting, rioting and destruction. And while the Antifa/Black Lives Matter mob is wreaking havoc, destroying businesses and neighborhoods, leaders in those communities have taken an inexplicable hands-off attitude, even to the point of restraining a police response. Meanwhile, the Democrat Party, Big Tech, the media and institutional Left have turbocharged censorship and vilification of their political enemies. How did we come to this, who caused it, what are their motivations and how do we stop it? THE PATRIOT'S HANDBOOK: A Practical Guide to Restoring Liberty 2nd Edition, Revised Jun 26, 2014 by James Simpson America is in crisis. Many people feel frustrated and powerless to prevent it. Help take back our country and restore it to its prior greatness. The only reason the bad guys win is because we let them. The Red-Green Axis 2.0: An Existential Threat to America and the World (Civilization Jihad Reader Series Book 13) Jun 5, 2019 by James Simpson The Red-Green Axis is a collusion between the Democratic Party, American Communists, Socialists and other brands of "progressives", i.e., the Red, and the forces of the Islamic jihad, the Green—so named because the color green carries much symbolism in Islam, and most Muslim nations feature green in flags, emblems, and other identifiers. Its collective goal is to alter and undermine our national character, traditions, and laws so much that it can overthrow our Constitutional republican form of government without firing a shot. The alliance allows each to take advantage of the tactics, strategies, and cultural features of the other, and mobilizes a vastly larger number of people. For example, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) now supports Black Lives Matter (BLM) and participates in its protests. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) also work with BLM, CAIR, and open borders groups.Immigration is one of the Red-Green Axis's most effective tools. Under the banner of "compassion," it advocates for open borders and endless waves of refugees, asylum seekers, and other third-world immigrants to stress government budgets at all levels, overburden communities with medical, language, crime, welfare, and other burdens, while rhetorically and sometimes physically attacking those who object, calling opponents "racists," "bigots," "xenophobes," and the latest innovation, "Islamophobes." This second edition of the Red-Green Axis delves deeply into the immigration/refugee resettlement issue to catalog not only the breadth and depth of the program and its supporters, but to expose the massive problems and cultural changes that have been created, I believe deliberately, as the key element in the Axis agenda to erase America as we know it. RED UNIONS: How & Why Big Labor Leaders Betray Their Nation Jan 28, 2014 by James Simpson How did unionism in America develop? What were the various forces at work? What is going on now. This pamphlet will tell you everything you want to know, and probably some things you don't want to know about unions in America today. It includes many surprising facts and data not publicly available eslewhere. It offers a brief history of the American union movement, and the individuals and ideas that created it. It discusses unions' ugly turn to the left in recent years, the reintroduction of communists into the leadership ranks, and the extensive destruction and political corruption that has occurred as a result. It reviews the economics of unionism and why, over the long run, unions will fail to provide promised benefits to members, and instead only serve to dramatically reshape and sometimes destroy industries. Public employee unons present problems all their own. They engender creation of a symbiotic relationship between the union and its political supporters, inevitably leading to the corruption of the political process. The most recent glaring example of this was the Wisconsin experience, where modest proposals for public union reform practically brought the state to a standstill. Though they lost miserably, the unions are still fighting this one, while Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker turned a $3.6 billion deficit into a surplus with his first budget, directly as a result of union reform. Meanwhile unions have changed. Unions struggled to purge themselves of communists in the 1940s and 1950s and unions were associated with blue collar conservatism for decades. In 1995, however, union officials lifted the ban on allowing communists in leadership positions. This new nexus of the radical left and union activists, along with the election of President Obama, has seen union activity on behalf of politicians increased to an unprecedented level. The Red-Green Axis: Refugees, Immigration and the Agenda to Erase America (Civilization Jihad Reader Series Book 4) Jun 8, 2015 by James Simpson In this extraordinary study, investigative reporter Jim Simpson builds upon – and adds considerable detail to – the research conducted by Ann Corcoran. Her blog, Refugee Resettlement Watch, has become an indispensable resource for those concerned with the UN-directed and U.S. government-enabled colonization of America, all too often by unscreened aliens. Like Ms. Corcoran's monograph in this Civilization Jihad Reader Series, Refugee Resettlement and the Hijra to America, the present volume pulls back the curtain on a practice that has been going on for years with a view to, in President Obama's words, “fundamentally transform” America. Mass migration and colonization seeks to “erase America.” It is enabled by myriad legal US immigration programs but most especially the refugee resettlement program, its contractors and subcontractors, left-wing philanthropies and activists. For those who love this country, its Constitution and freedoms, the picture Jim Simpson paints is alarming. It must be a catalyst for concerted action to prevent such an outcome. This monograph offers practical suggestions for mounting an effective resistance. CASA de Maryland: A Case Study in Subversion and Corruption at the Highest Levels Apr 19, 2015 by James Simpson This book describes a notorious subversive organization in Maryland that nonetheless has the attention and support of many Maryland politicians. In June 2018 Donald Trump posed with then Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou at a ground breaking ceremony for the new Foxconn facility in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin. Touted as “the eighth wonder of the world” by the president, the multi-billion dollar deal was supposed to produce a 20-million-square-foot manufacturing complex, thousands of jobs, and the beginning of a new well-paying manufacturing sector in the American Midwest. Over two years later, almost none of that has happened. Instead of thousands of new jobs and a promising facility, Wisconsin looks to have been left holding the bag on a deal that was over promised and under delivered. This week, investigations editor and feature writer at The Verge, Josh Dzieza, joins to talk about what happened with the Wisconsin-Foxconn deal and why its promise was doomed to fail. The Eighth Wonder of the World by Josh Dzieza Foxconn tells Wisconsin it never promised to build an LCD factory by Josh Dzieza

Every week on my podcast, I want to bring you exciting content that leaves you more prepared to fight for Life than before. That’s why, for my very first guest, I sat down with former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, who is a former Students for Life leader himself and has been one of the fiercest champions for Life in conservative politics. Don’t miss it!
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker joins Larry O’Connor from the floor of CPAC. The governor weighs in on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s handling of the Amazon deal, and Walker shares his thoughts on there being more to the Conservative Party than just the ‘Trump Party.’
Did the dinosaurs have politics? That's just one of the insightful questions Abby asks as Jim and Abby discuss the fallout from what is now the longest government shutdown in history. Who can save us from this national nightmare? Probably not Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who seems to think that being morally right excuses being factually incorrect. Jim and Abby discuss where AOC is wrong and where she is right, as in her schooling of former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker on marginal tax rates. Also learn why Anderson Cooper is the nation's uncle, but only on his mother's side. And which Carolina is Lindsay Graham from? The answer probably won't surprise you.
So long to national disgrace, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, reacquaint yourself with Scott Walker, torch song crooner turned avant garde pop weirdo. Also, new tunes from Deerhunter, Homeshake & Nap Eyes. I'm away next week, see you the week after!

Democrats are celebrating this week in the wake of Judge Rebecca Dallet’s election to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. She is the first Democrat to win an open seat on the court since 1995. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker warned that Dallet’s win means we could see a “blue wave” in November's midterm elections that would give Democrats control of the House. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told a Kentucky newspaper earlier this week that Republicans know the wind is in their face, saying, “We just don’t know if its category three, four or five.” Could the Dems still manage to mess it all up? Jeff Greenfield, an award-winning television journalist, talks about how the Left’s unforced errors and “Year of Magical Thinking” could potentially ruin their prospects for a "blue wave". Jamie McIntyre, a senior writer for the Washington Examiner, discusses President Trump’s decision to reverse course and keep U.S. troops in Syria.
First, an election result from Wisconsin that you need to hear about: Rebecca Dallet, the candidate backed by Democrats, just won a way-down-ballot race for state supreme court—by 11 points! Republicans like Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker are freaking out about the “blue wave” that’s coming to that state, which Trump narrowly won in 2016, and Dan Savage, Rich Smith, and Eli Sanders are here to talk about why that’s just great. (And what you can do to make the coming blue wave even greater.) After that, Trump’s fact-free rage about migrant caravans. The president says he’s now sending the US military to guard the border with Mexico. Okay… But really, what does one even do with bluster this incoherent? Then, Katie Herzog talks about Sinclair Broadcast Group (aka “Trump TV”) and the Orwellian video that’s been going around of Sinclair anchors at local TV stations around the country all reading from the same “fake news” script. What to do? Boycott Sinclair? Encourage its reporters to quit en masse? Vote for people who will actually regulate Sinclair's use of the public airways? Katie, Dan, and Eli discuss. Finally, the Roseanne re-boot, reconsidered. Last week Katie, Dan, and Eli all had mostly positive things to say about the show. (Although a full 2/3 of them hadn’t even watched the re-boot yet!) This week, we hear a dramatic reading of comments from our Blabbermouth Podcast Facebook group arguing about whether or not people should watch Roseanne, given how “problematic” she is. Then Katie, Dan, and Eli talk about Roxanne Gay’s great column on all this in The New York Times. They also answer the question: "Will you keep watching?" Plus, as always, the music of Ahamefule J. Oluo!
Nothing is more frustrating to me as an American than the distraction that is the mainstream media. So many wonderful things are happening in this great country of ours, but they get lost in the obsession with the latest drama in Washington D.C.For example, President Donald Trump recently announced that Foxconn—a Taiwanese high tech company—will be building a 10 billion dollar manufacturing facility for the production of LCD screens in Wisconsin, creating literally thousands of American jobs. Foxconn is responsible for manufacturing products like the iPhone and PlayStation. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker anticipates that the Foxconn project will produce 13,000 high paying jobs, as well as another 22,000 indirect jobs and 10,000 construction jobs.Think that's a big deal? I sure do. But I bet you've heard little or nothing about it in the press. Are there difficult things to walk through? Absolutely. But: • The economy is performing well, and:• President Trump promised he'd bring American jobs back. He's doing just that. Some good things are happening: Let's hope we can start hearing more about them.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We are happy to report two state/church victories this week, removing the Ten Commandments from a west Texas high school and curbing the “Break the Grey” evangelist from preaching in Wisconsin high schools. We report on Bangladeshi atheist bloggers, renegade Alabama judge Roy Moore, and the mixing of government and religion by Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. After hearing the Joe Hill song “Preacher and the Slave,” we talk with award-winning journalist, former senior editor of National Geographic, Katherine Ozment about her new book Grace Without God: The Search for Meaning, Purpose, and Belonging in a Secular Age.
WASHINGTON, DC – Two of the nation's leading experts on American politics and American public opinion appeared before a breakfast discussion of The Ripon Society, where they shared their thoughts on the changing face of the electorate, the increasingly negative view of Congress, and the factors that will matter most in the Presidential election of 2016. The experts were Ed Goeas, the President & CEO of the Tarrance Group who also serves as a senior advisor to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, and Carroll Doherty, the Director of Political Research at the Pew Research Center who opened his presentation — and the discussion – with an overview of the demographic shift that has taken place in the country over the past several years.

This week, the Republican-led House Agriculture Committee began what they termed as a "top to bottom" review of the federal food stamp program. In a surprising twist, however, the Committee's new management struck a soft and empathetic tone towards a government program they'd previously demonized. Meanwhile, President Barack Obama and Senator Elizabeth Warren are teaming up on a plan to bring more security to retirees by making it harder for fly-by-night financial advisors to screw their clients for their own personal gain. But why did dozens of Democrats sign a letter, opposing this idea? Finally, the 2016 invisible primary continues, and the big winner this week, we are told, is Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. We'll explain why so many people are telling us that. We'll also remind you that it is February of 2015, because sometimes it seems we forget that. This week on TALK! with AUDREY: My guest is JOHN NICHOLS. On Friday, February 11, 2011, newly elected Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker proposed a so-called budget repair bill that attempted to take collective bargaining rights away from state, county, and municipal employees, as well as teachers. On Monday, February 14, 2011, the people of Wisconsin responded. In UPRISING: How Wisconsin Renewed the Politics of Protest from Madison to Wall Street, journalist and Wisconsin-native John Nichols details the protest movement that began one cold night in Madison and took the nation by storm, becoming the most sustained mass protest in recent American history. This was more than an attack on labor rights and unions; it was an attack on democracy and social justice.
