In this episode, we talk to Lisa Klco about the increase in cannabis-related psychosis, along with signs and treatment. Cannabis-related psychosis is a mental disorder that can develop in people who use cannabis. Although it is a relatively rare condition, it is important to be aware of the signs and symptoms so that you can seek treatment if necessary. The most common symptom of cannabis-related psychosis is paranoia, which can lead to feelings of anxiety, fear, and distrust. Other symptoms include delusions, hallucinations, and disorganized thinking. If you experience any of these symptoms after using cannabis, it is important to see a doctor or mental health professional as soon as possible. With early diagnosis and treatment, most people with cannabis-related psychosis can recover fully and live healthy, productive lives.  ABOUT LISA KLCO, CD, PhD(c), MSW, MACP, RSW, RCCLisa's primary work is in addiction treatment, mental health, and sexual health. Forest Therapy is a therapeutic practice that teaches how to be present and connected to nature. It is derived from the Japanese practice "Shinrin Yoku, which translates to "forest bathing" or "taking in the forest atmosphere."  Forest therapy can increase mindfulness skills, which allow individuals to connect with the present and live in the moment without judgment or evaluation. It teaches us how to bring ourselves into the present moment without worry or stress. It encourages individuals to notice and sense the things around them, allowing them to feel a part of nature rather than separate from it. We are part of the same ecosystem, we are from the same cells; forest therapy can deepen our relationships with ourselves, with each other, and with mother nature. This sensory-oriented practice supports human, as well as nature well-being and health.WANT TO WATCH THIS EPISODE: https://youtu.be/L1h0w8y4MnkABOUT DAN: Daniel Klco, CD, MACP, RCC, CPA Daniel's practice as a clinical counsellor includes somatic focus work (ISTDP) on mental health experiences including depression, anxiety, pain management addictions, sexual health, and complex medically unexplained conditions. Intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy (ISTDP) is a form of psychotherapy developed by Dr. Habib Davanloo of McGill University. ISTDP therapy focuses on troubling feelings or thoughts that interfere with relationships, communication, and/or functioning at school or at work. The aim of therapy is to uncover the sources of the feelings or thoughts that are often hidden from the client. The primary goal of ISTDP is to enable the client to overcome his or her own internal struggle with his or her own feelings and emotions about past and present experiences that overwhelm him or her due to their frightening, threatening, or painful nature.ISTDP therapists are trained to monitor the verbal and nonverbal reactions that are triggered as you try to face your emotions and will help you face as many feelings as you can while working with you to make sure you do not become overwhelmed or symptomatic.ISTDP treatment has been extensively researched and is shown to be effective with depression, anxiety, somatic symptoms, substance abuse, eating disorders, and personality problems.WATCH ON YOUTUBEhttps://youtu.be/KbvigLA8wmQABOUT MICHELLE:Michelle M.
