    Ivy Insights

The Real Nurses Real Talk podcast is a must-listen for anyone in the nursing profession or interested in healthcare. Each week, the hosts Brandon and Erin deliver thought-provoking discussions on various topics that are relevant to patient care and leadership. Their insights have truly challenged my thinking and have helped me improve my practice as a nurse. I even share episodes with the classes I teach because I believe they provide an authentic look at what we face daily in our profession.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is its real-life, down-to-earth approach. Brandon and Erin bring their own experiences to the table, making each episode relatable and engaging. They cover a wide range of subjects, not just limited to healthcare settings, which allows listeners from any career background to apply the discussions to their own lives. The hosts have a great dynamic and make listening enjoyable while still imparting valuable knowledge.

Another highlight of this podcast is Brandon's expertise in guiding nurses towards being their best selves. His classes have been some of the most motivating and heartwarming experiences for many nurses, myself included. Through the podcast, he continues to inspire listeners and encourages us to be empathetic and caring professionals. One episode that particularly resonated with me was episode 8 where they discussed visitation in our profession. The reminder that visitors "aren't visitors to the patient" really stuck with me and made me rethink my perspective on this aspect of patient care.

While it's difficult to find any significant drawbacks to this podcast, one minor criticism could be that some episodes may not delve into certain topics as deeply as some listeners would prefer. However, considering the wide range of subjects covered by Brandon and Erin, it's understandable that not every episode can go into great detail on every topic.

In conclusion, The Real Nurses Real Talk podcast is a valuable resource for anyone in or interested in nursing or healthcare. It provides real-world insights into patient care and leadership, delivered in a relatable and enjoyable manner. Brandon and Erin's expertise and genuine passion for nursing make this podcast a must-listen. I eagerly anticipate each new episode and highly recommend it to others in the field or anyone looking for thought-provoking discussions on important healthcare topics.
