Episode SummaryErin and Rachel unpack The Fox and the Hound (1981), the most expensive Disney animated film up to that point, due largely to conflict amongst the film makers. They discover that even a movie about the best of friends isn't immune to racism in the form of Black stereotypes and underlying messages about segregation. Episode BibliographyAssociated Press. For number 6 in our series of podcasts in conjunction with Scottish Opera Ali spoke to Staff Director, Roxana Haines. It's a fascinating and informative discussion with someone whose job brings her into contact and collaboration with most areas of the company. She explains her journey to the role, her training in theatre and the specific demands of opera, her role in terms of productions and the challenges that different ones bring, with particular reference to the current 'Opera Highlights Tour' and the opera for young children 'Fox-tot!', and a lot more. Through it all Roxana's enthusiasm and love for what she does shines through, and we hope you enjoy listening to the conversation as much as we did recording it.

00:00 Intro 01:41 Begrüßung und Geplänkel 05:37 Organisatorisches / Ankündigung Gastkommentare 09:55 'Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst' mit 'Train to Busan' und 'Maniac' 16:16 'Zurück in die Zukunft RELOADED' mit 'Back to the Future Part II' - Darsteller, Story, Trivia & Eskapisten-Geballer par Excellence! 21:46 Gastkommentar von Martin vom 'Lesewut'-Podcast über seine Liebe zu 'BTTF 2' 105:39 Gastkommentar von Michael: Popkulturelle Referenzen und ganz viel Liebe für das Franchise 123:09 'Back to the Future Part III' - des Übliche, ihr wisst, was los is! 188:02 Gastkommentar von Joachim vom 'Kinemalismus'-Filmmagazin über Doc Brown und das Scheitern 213:33 "Und der Rest": Videogames, Cartoon-Serie und 'Back to the Future: The Ride' 235:31 Abmoderation und Tschüüüüüüüß "I don't believe it" - Doc Emmett Lathrop Brown In diesem Sinne, viel Spaß mit 'Zurück in die Zukunft RELOADED'! Eure Eskapisten Sascha und Daniel (und Markus und Lukas im Geiste!) On this episode: writer and podcast host ('49th Parahell') Rob Rousseau's Twitter game, which combines the best of a combative and Extremely Online socialist Left with absurdist comedy, is baffling and infuriating all the right people. One recent Tweet, featured on a morning segment of 'Fox and Friends', the Daily Caller and basically everywhere in the American right-wing echo chamber, has made him a target of the far-Right. On this episode Rob joins host Andre Goulet for a conversation on la Meute's failed Montreal Canada Day march, the hidden horror of Canadian child detainees and why the recent rise of American socialism is just the beginning. This conversation was recorded on July 3rd, 2018. Look for Rob Rousseau's new podcast '49th Parahell' on iTunes, Soundcloud and at ricochet.media

A race Brad Keselowski won back in 2011. Big news for the driver of the No. 2 Ford this week as it was announced he signed a multi-year extension with Team Penske. Keselowski appearing on FOX Sports 1: (Keselowski) "Team members and all kinds of things that come together to make a race team get to the race track, so I was glad to get it done and hopefully we can in the next few years get another championship." Keselowski's crew chief Paul Wolfe getting a multi-year extension as well and he'll have a new teammate on the Cup circuit next season... Ryan Blaney: (Blaney) "We announced today that I'll be driving the 12 car for Team Penske next year, so I'm real excited about that." One last go around for Dale Jr. at Daytona this weekend. FOX's Matt Napolitano has 'FOX in the Fast Lane': The NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series goes under the lights Saturday for the Coke Zero 400, marking Dale Earnhardt Jr's final cup race at Daytona. With 160 laps ahead Saturday, many believe that the No. 88 Chevy is the one to beat and that includes fellow drivers like Kurt Busch: (Busch) "He's gonna be elbows out, sleeves rolled up going hard and he will be the car to beat this weekend." Meantime, Kurt's brother, Kyle's No. 18 Toyota team has been penalized post-Sonoma for not properly installing lug nuts. His crew chief Ben Beshore has been suspended one race. And Chase Elliott is going to be behind the wheel the No. 24 Chevy a little while longer, signing a contract extension with Hendrick Motorsports through 2022: (Elliott) "You know I owe so much to Mr. Hendrick and what he's done for me." Elliott will try for that first career win at Daytona Saturday. The young gun has impressed with three pole positions and 27 top ten finishes since joining the Monster Energy Cup Series last season. They'll be racing in Detroit this Father's Day weekend. FOX's Matt Napolitano has your 'FOX in the Fast Lane': The Monster Energy Cup Series heads to Michigan for a race weekend honoring dad. The Fire Keepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway takes place on Father's Day. Drivers are talking dad heading into Sunday's race, including Ryan Blaney, who says what his father, former NASCAR driver Dave Blaney means to him: (Blaney) "He's my hero for sure and he'll always be the greatest race car driver in my mind and the one who got everything started for me and who helped me along the way and we really wouldn't be anywhere without him." Blaney fresh off a win at Pocono last weekend will try for another checkered flag Sunday as his owners the Wood Brothers look for their 100th Cup win. Meantime, Monster Energy Cup points leader Martin Truex Jr. will be throwing on the blue Auto Owners Insurance paint scheme on the No. 78 for Michigan and that scheme has brought him luck with two wins, a poll and two Top-10 finishes: (Truex Jr.) "That coupled with a racetrack that's been good to us makes it fun and definitely looking forward to having a great weekend." Some Colorado teenagers have devised a new way to prevent drunk driving. FOX's Monica Rix reports with the latest 'FOX on Tech': It's a concern most people have, you drive to the local watering hole on the weekend, but then, after one too many, you're worried not just about drunk driving, but leaving your car behind too. That's where Beck Halbeisen and Vinny Rowe from Broomfield, Colorado come in. The two teenagers developed the Leave No Car Behind app. It connects the tipsy user to not one, but two drivers. One to take the user home, the other to drive their car home: (Petrollini) "People have been trying for years to get people to take cabs, to take Uber, to take Lyft, and it's the same old problem. You can't get people to leave and leave their car behind." Mickey Petrollini is with the Colorado Bar Owners Association. Now, Halbeisen says the app growing in popularity, but those that use it are still surprised by who exactly shows up to drive: (Halbeisen) "The first time we go into bars, they're like, man who are these kids? They're like how old are you." They both say they are hope an investor helps it grow beyond Colorado's borders. With FOX on Tech, Monica Rix, FOX News. Follow Monica Rix on Twitter: @MonicaRix
NASCAR's young stars of today are focusing on keeping the torch lit for future generations. FOX's Jared Max has more in this week's 'FOX in the Fast Lane": Two days after Kurt Busch won the Daytona 500 this year, I asked him what advice he might give to a 10-year-old about making a career in racing: (Busch) "I think one thing that's starting to slip through the cracks is the ability for a driver to understand his car and be able to work on it and knowing what it takes to set up the front toe or the rear suspension. Kurt Busch is 38, driver Ryan Blaney only 23, part of NASCAR's next generation. (Blaney) "Back in the day when Kurt probably got started, you know, there wasn't many people involved in the team and the engineering side wasn't as big and the driver knew more about the vehicle and what's under the hood. Now there are just so many people involved in it. You know crew chief, couple of engineers, everybody has their own certain job. And like Kyle said, we get paid to drive the race car." Ryan Blaney speaking of Kyle Larson, who's greatly responsible for a new crop of racing fans: (Larson) "You know I feel like I see a lot more Asians at the race track which is kind of neat, especially wearing my gear and getting autographs. I feel like I've made a small impact already being Japanese." I'm Jared Max, FOX News. Julie London canta 'In the middle of a kiss', grabada en 1959.
