"No, I know; you did send me back to the future. But I'm back - I'm back from the future."   This episode we return to a set of films that we hold dear, the Back to the Future Trilogy.  Once again we find ourselves in Hill Valley in a multitude of time periods with good old Marty and Doc.   The first instalment was a very high score from both of us and you can find that in the back catalogue under episode 88.   Will this film be as beloved as the first in our opinions or should it be ditched in a back alley like Jennifer was?  Put down Wild Gunman, grab a Pepsi Perfect and find out.  As always, thank you for listening.  Please share with anyone who is a fan of these films and the 80's in general.  You can get in touch with us on the links below.  Cheersy!  Follow 80s Adventure on facebook   facebook.com/80sadventure   Check out the website   80sadventure.com   Email 80s Adventure   podcast@80sadventure.com   Support 80s Adventure on Patreon   patreon.com/80sadventure   Buy the boys a beerko-fi.com/80sadventure

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads. Its time to pick up where things left off as Tim Williams is joined by the "Hill Valley Save the Clock Tower Committee" (aka the Co-Host Panel) as they continue their discussion on the "Back to the Future" Trilogy for this episode of the 80's Flick Flashback! Panel Includes Charlie Cotter, Chad Sheppard, and Laramy & Bethany Wells ("Moving Panels" Podcast) Pre-Recorded Segments from previous co-hosts include Ron West, Jeff Atkins, and Gerry D. ("Totally Rad Christmas" Podcast) Here are some additional behind the scenes trivia we were unable to cover in this episode: The first film had had slightly more subtle placement deals with various companies including Toyota, Pepsi and Miller, but in the second, these deals started to take an active place in the story. Pepsi (with the fictional ‘Pepsi Perfect' variety) is even more prominent in the Café 80s, and there are Black and Decker products both real (the “antique” Dustbuster) and fictional (the food hydrating machine). Pizza Hut, meanwhile, was eager not just to show its logo on the pizza that gets hydrated, but actually provided a ‘professional food stylist' to the production, to ensure that said pizza looked as appetizing as possible onscreen. A running gag throughout the entire trilogy: every time Marty goes into the diner location for the first time (that's Lou's in 1955, Cafe '80s in 2015 and the saloon in 1885), he orders a beverage that he never actually gets to drink any of before being interrupted by a “Hey, McFly!” In Part III Marty notices the name of ‘Frisbie', an actual pie company, and presumably thinks it's just a coincidence that the name on the flat tray is similar to ‘Frisbee', the flying disc. Of course, the two are actually linked – the pie company gave the colloquial name to the disc-throwing game, before the Wham-O company trademarked the slightly altered ‘Frisbee' in the 1950s. On July 3rd 1985, Robert Zemeckis brought us a film that changed the way we look at time travel. Things get heavy as we discuss the impact the franchise has had on pop culture over the years, as well as the cast, crew, characters, the fashion, and of course all the wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff (that's right I said it). So grab your Pepsi Perfect, put up your hover board, undo those power laces on your NeeKays and load up your copy of the movie as we do our own running commentary while we watch it!  Great Scott!

00:00 Intro 01:41 Begrüßung und Geplänkel 05:37 Organisatorisches / Ankündigung Gastkommentare 09:55 'Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst' mit 'Train to Busan' und 'Maniac' 16:16 'Zurück in die Zukunft RELOADED' mit 'Back to the Future Part II' - Darsteller, Story, Trivia & Eskapisten-Geballer par Excellence! 21:46 Gastkommentar von Martin vom 'Lesewut'-Podcast über seine Liebe zu 'BTTF 2' 105:39 Gastkommentar von Michael: Popkulturelle Referenzen und ganz viel Liebe für das Franchise 123:09 'Back to the Future Part III' - des Übliche, ihr wisst, was los is! 188:02 Gastkommentar von Joachim vom 'Kinemalismus'-Filmmagazin über Doc Brown und das Scheitern 213:33 "Und der Rest": Videogames, Cartoon-Serie und 'Back to the Future: The Ride' 235:31 Abmoderation und Tschüüüüüüüß "I don't believe it" - Doc Emmett Lathrop Brown In diesem Sinne, viel Spaß mit 'Zurück in die Zukunft RELOADED'! Despite a slow news week, Josh and Jason do their best to put on yet another great and entertaining episode of the World’s #1 Toys-To-Life podcast. They start off shooting the breeze, talking about a crate full of Yu-Gi-Oh cards, the scalpers at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo, and some humble bragging about scoring some extremely limited Pepsi Perfect.   Once they get down to the nitty gritty, they chat about Australia possibly being the gateway to Skylands, the missed opportunities with the Light FX Star Wars figures, childhood memories of Pokemon, and the lessons to be learned in LegoLand.   The #CommunityQuestion is cleverly ties in to Back To The Future day, and a new trivia-based segment is introduced, called “Stump The Expert”, where fans and listeners can win some cool prizes while challenging Jason’s knowledge of the toys-to-life franchises. Happy Back To The Future Day!Das Jahr 2015 brachte bisher neben unserem erfreulichen Comeback samt dicken "Zurück in die Zukunft" Anstrich im Mai auch den 30. Back To The Future Day! ;)Weiterlesen »
