Bible Reading: Luke 19:1-10"Hi, Mom!" exclaimed Rylee as she placed her backpack on the kitchen counter. "Hi, Rylee. How was your first day of Bible camp?" Mom asked as she cut carrots and put them in the stew she was making. "It was great! We swam in the lake, went down the small waterslide, and ziplined. After that, we had Bible class.""That sounds like fun!" said Mom. "What did you learn about in Bible class?" "Well," said Rylee, "one of the counselors taught us about a man in the Bible named Zacchaeus, and how Jesus wanted to go to his house to eat even though Zacchaeus had done many bad things. He also talked about how Jesus loves everyone, and that's why we should love others, even our enemies." Rylee frowned. "I don't really understand what that has to do with Zacchaeus though. Anyway, we learned a new Bible verse--Mark 12:31. It goes like this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" "That verse you learned tells us how to love others like God does," Mom explained. "It doesn't say, 'Love your best friend' or 'Only love your family.' The Bible says to love everyone--even our enemies--because Jesus loves each one of us the way He loved Zacchaeus. You see, Zacchaeus was a tax collector who collected money from the citizens for the government. Nobody liked him because in Jesus' day, tax collectors took as much money as they wanted for themselves most of the time. He was a thief in the eyes of the people.""But Jesus forgave him?" asked Rylee.Mom nodded. "Even though Zacchaeus was a sinner, Jesus loved him, and He even wanted to eat lunch at Zacchaeus' house! And even though we've sinned, Jesus loves us and wants to have a relationship with us too. That's why He tells us to show love and compassion to all our neighbors--because He loved us when we were sinners like Zacchaeus." "Wow! I never thought of it that way," Rylee said as she started helping Mom with the celery. "Jesus wanting to eat with Zacchaeus shows how much He loves all of us." She grinned. "Speaking of eating, that stew smells good!" -Evelyn CardricheHow About You?Do you find it hard to love some people? Maybe it's the new kid at school or an older sibling who picks on you. No matter who your neighbors are, remember that Jesus loves everyone--He shows each one of us kindness and compassion even though we've all sinned against Him. Trust Him to help you love others, even when it's hard. Today's Key Verse:Love your neighbor as yourself. (NIV) (Mark 12:31)Today's Key Thought:Love everyone no matter what

Dennis is joined via Zoom by four of the creators behind the new audio drama 90069: West Hollywood - Brunch, Interrupted, which is one of a series of Zip Code plays produced by the L.A.-based Antaeus Theatre Company. The four guests are writer Sean Abley, actors Parnell Damone Marcano and Bill Brochtrup (who is also the company's Artistic Director) and sound designer Jeff Gardner. The quartet talk about the process of creating the project during COVID and the play's oh-so-current theme of gentrification of gay neighborhoods. Then the group joins Dennis for a rousing round of You Don't Know My Life! where they each submit answers to this question: What's something you've witnessed or experienced where you thought, 'Only in West Hollywood?' The answers range from the hilarious--a shirtless neighbor asking, "Do you have any poppers I could borrow?"--to the poignant--RIP, Silver Spoon and Yukon Mining Company diners. Climate Conversations was fortunate to have chat with the fellow behind, "Music for a Warming World", Simon Kerr, and talk about the group's new album. "Only One Way to Head". The pre-launch of the album was planned as a live event, but a Covid-19 lock-down intervened and that became a Zoom get-together. The actual in-person launch will now be held in Brunswick early in August. The skills and talents of the group are many, and that is epitomised by the sweeping interests of Simon himself. Check on the group's website for updates about the August in-person launch of "Only One Way to Head".

This time, Paul is joined by succesful businessman and Burton Albion Football Club Chairman & Owner Ben Robinson, to discuss the topic of whether life really is a game, as well as the world of football and the 'Beautiful Game' today. KEY TAKEAWAYS Those in the world of football today seem to be far more focussed upon what they can get, instead of the greatness they can achieve. Legends are born after the fact. Whatever your discipline in life is, first and foremost as human beings, we need a strong moral compass and value system. As the new generations come up behind us, it is our job to instil the energy, values, honour and compassion into the generation of tomorrow. I frequently say that even though this show is called “Flipping America” we don’t encourage everyone to drop what they are doing and start flipping houses like you see on TV, We DO encourage everyone to consider real estate as a balanced part of an investment portfolio. To that end we try to bring you the very best in information, inspiration, techniques, approaches, opportunities, methods, and the people that make those ideas work. Today we have Kim Kesterke joining us in just a few minutes and she is one of those who loves her job and wants to keep it. I think she is actually in the majority out there. She started investing in rental properties remotely and self-manages them remotely. In fact she does this so well she’s never had an eviction. Now she has a course called the W2 Landlord which you will hear about today and you might have an opportunity to be a beta tester for it. That’s coming in a few minutes. Later on we are going to wrap up the topic we started last time called “Contract to Closing.” This seems like a rather mundane part of the deal and I suppose it is. But many contracts fall out and do not close. Sometimes those fallouts could have been avoided if the parties had been more prepared. So let’s prepare! How to contact us www.RogerBlankenship.com.
