Aaron Snyder of Kifaru, a seasoned adventurer with a heart forged in the great outdoors, joins us for a fireside chat brimming with wild escapades and profound wisdom. Celebrating our 99th episode—a testament to the journey we've all been on together—we traverse the emotional terrain of hunting, encountering the raw edge where nature meets human spirit. Aaron doesn't hold back as he shares his riveting experiences, from confronting the perils of a boulder field with a dislocated rib to the joys and pains of bow hunting that have shaped his incredible journey from a military man to a connoisseur of survival.Imagine drawing your bowstring back quietly, eyes locked on a mule deer, heart pounding in the stillness of the forest; Aaron brings these moments to life with vivid tales of hunts that test the limits of both traditional and compound bow equipment. The episode is also a sanctuary for candid discussions on controversial topics like predator hunting in British Columbia, where ethics and conservation intersect with the primal dance of hunter and prey. Each story peels back a layer of the hunter's psyche, exposing the inherent challenges and the ceaseless pursuit of personal growth through nature's unforgiving lessons. As we wrap up this episode with Aaron, it's not just about the hunts but the growth that comes from them. The tales of early overconfidence, the trials of extreme weather, and the unwavering determination in the face of missed opportunities are as much a reflection of life as they are of hunting. We're not just recounting stories; we're sharing a part of ourselves, inviting listeners to connect through the universal language of the wilderness. So, as you listen, remember that each journey into the wild is our own, and together, we're writing the stories that define us.Aron's LinktreeAron's InstagramHunting Stories InstagramSupport the Show.

A few days ago I did an interview with a good colleague of mine. Aaron and I were talking about topics like problem solving and process optimization. Since Aaron is an expert in these areas, he was able to bring many exciting aspects into the conversation that were also very interesting to me personally. One topic we talked about, for example, was how high processes should be set so that they can still be understood and executed by everyone. This topic is also very interesting for people involved, as there are always difficulties in the area of process implementation. Aaron revealed a lot of exciting information that I'm sure you´ll find very interesting as well. I would also like to know from you how you deal with processes in your company or whether you use processes at all in your company. Maybe the interview with Aaron and me will help you.

If you're trying to lose weight and have grown tired of the struggle, this segment is for you. If you're a regular listener of the show, you're aware that we believe that life is about relationships. In this discussion with author Aaron D. Snyder, we'll delve into our relationships with ourselves, our relationship with food and why it's so difficult to shed pounds. Aaron Snyder had a very unhealthy lifestyle until he was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes in September 2000 at the age of 22. While Type II Diabetes doesn't usually emerge until middle age, his sedentary junk food style of living placed him at the front of the line to receive this shocking diagnosis. But rather than accept a tedious, dreary existence of medical dependency, he changed his mind, accepted responsibility for his physical well-being and changed his life. Among the largest category of books are diet and cookbooks lending fact to America's love of food and obsession with weight loss. There are many books on the market that contain medical advice and wisdom on health, self-help, dieting and fitness, but nowhere is there a book that conveys thorough information on all of these crucial topics quite like Aaron's book, The New Diabetes Prescription: The Diet, Exercise and Mindset Revolution. Arranged in 12 Prescribed methods to address our relationship with food, being accountable for our choices, managing stress, controlling emotional eating, maintaining healthy blood sugar levels, choosing the foods that are right for you and following through.
