BEST OF: Seven bowls of God's wrath are poured out in the Bible by divine spirits - angels or demons. These plagues include sores, frogs, and hailstones, which can be attributed to demons like Lucifer, Bufonite, and Belial. The biggest bowl, Super Bowl 56, takes place on the eve of Valentine's Day or Lupercalia, a Roman festival of cleansing and fertility heavily focused on the goat, dog, and wolf. These creatures also act as guides in the Underworld throughout various mythologies that involve the soul/spirit of the butterfly and the shadow-self. The Big Game kicks off with the horned beasts, the Rams, against the Bengal Tigers. The 56th Halftime performers include Dr Dre, the GOAT, and Snoop Dogg, the dog or Lion, as his other name suggests. The Lion/Tiger and Goat also appear in images of Bauer and Azazel. The dog can be found in Cerberus. The other performers are Mary J. Blige, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar, all three aligned with the High Priestess, the shadow self, and the butterfly of the soul. Lupercalia also initiates the new year, and in 2022 it is that of the Tiger. The Chinese called Sagittarius the tiger, otherwise known as the archer linked to Jupiter, Ammon, Orion, Osiris the Hunter, Cupid, and Otherworldy guides like Anubis, the jackal. Combing these symbols at Halftime, coupled with the teams playing in the game, there is certainly enough to pick through for meanings that are both present and non-existent, including commercials depicting Zeus/Jupiter. These archetypes and themes can be used to summon the most Divine or the most Infernal. When Eminem says "it must be the ganga", implying marijuana, there is the possibility that the rap community is referring to Ganga-Gramma, the demon who pours out bowls with a pitchfork. At the very least, the event initiates the new year with a mass of energy, and those clever enough to see and understand its symbols may find divination for the future, and a marker for our current state of affairs.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/tst-radio--5328407/support.

On a brutal General Election night for the Conservatives, there were a few bright spots where their MPs managed to defy the swing to Labour and hang onto their seats. In the North East of England - where Labour otherwise swept the board - just one Conservative MP now remains, Matt Vickers, who won in the new seat of Stockton West despite pre-election polling which suggested it would turn red. He speaks to Rob Parsons about how he managed to defy the odds, what it's been like as a Tory MP since returning to Parliament and what the near Tory wipeout means for Tees Valley mayor Ben Houchen. Meanwhile, Rob hears from the journalists behind a brilliant new podcast called Everything But a Beach, telling the fascinating hidden stories of Manchester you won't have learned about at school. Find out about 'God's copper' James Anderton, Manchester's scuttling gangs with names like the Bengal Tigers and the Meadow Lads, and where local words like ‘ticklebutt' and ‘arsewood' came from. For at least twenty years, youth gangs had become a prominent and menacing way of life within parts of Manchester that had festered within the slums of places such as Hope Street, Greengate, Ordsall, Gorton, Angel Meadow and Ancoats to name but a few. Young lads between the ages of 14 and 18 found solace by joining gangs that gave them a feeling of importance and by fighting with rival gangs, it also gave them the respect they felt they deserved as well as a sense of belonging. And for many, it was a way out of the monotony of day-to-day life that had offered them very little hope. With smart haircuts and their own unique dress code, which included bell-bottomed trousers, silk scarves and brass-tipped pointed clogs, they would roam the back streets and alleyways of Manchester in gangs that reflected the territories they were formed in. For example, The Bengal Tigers came from the streets around Bengal Street in Ancoats, Meadow Lads from Angel Meadow and the Grey Mare Boys from Grey Mare Lane in Bradford. And to coincide with this ever increasing wave of gang violence, a name would emerge out from the streets that would become synonymous with each gang - the "Scuttlers." Endangered animals are the species of animals that are likely to be extinct in the near future due to their decreasing count. And in this Chimes Radio Original podcast, we bring to you an overview of 5 endangered animals from the land of India - Asiatic Lions, Bengal Tigers, Blackbuck, Red Panda, and Snow Leopards. In fact, these animals are not only endangered in India but across the globe. Count of Bengal Tigers, the National animal of India and Bangladesh, has been decreasing over the years due to poaching and the human-tiger conflict. In 2011, there were approximately 2000 Bengal Tigers left in India. Lion, the King of the jungle, is also marked as endangered species. In May 2015, the 14th Asiatic Lion census was conducted in an area of 20,000 sq km, in which the lion population was estimated to be about 523. In August 2017, another survey was done in which pleasantly the population has increased to 650. Snow Leopards are the large cats, native to the mountain regions in Central and South Asia. Only 524 snow leopards are left in India. Count of Blackbucks, one of the fastest runners, is only 7000 that are left in India and is continuously decreasing due to large scale conversion of their natural habitats into agricultural fields. Red Pandas, also known as lesser pandas or red bear cat, are mostly found in the Himalayas and its population is on the decrease again. In India, there are only 6000 red pandas left. Let's hop on to our knowledge express and enjoy this kid’s podcast.Support the show: https://www.patreon.com/chimesradioSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
This wee we look at the amazing Bengal tigers. Bengal tigers are the most notable tiger species and one of the most iconic animals on the planet. They are native to India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan and make up over half of all tigers in the world. At the beginning of the 1900's there were supposedly over 100,000 in the wild, nowadays only around 2,500 live in the wild. There may be more in zoos than in the wild. The reasons are all because of humans... poaching and habitat loss make up for most of it. Tigers are awesome animals that deserve our protection. But sometimes tigers can be scary monsters... tigers have killed more people than any other predatory mammal. There are around 100 tiger attacks a year in some areas. We also go through a list of well known man eating tigers. Indian tiger movie. This movie is so bad it's hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7okNuj1CD4A If you would like to give a donation you can on PayPal at either Forceofnaturepod@gmail.com or simply forceofnaturepod On Venmo is my personal account at Matthew-Hamilton-51 We would appreciate any donations very much and we will give shout outs to anyone that does. CBI Mules | Al Armandariz On this episode of Argot: Audio Short Stories from the Veteran Voices of Pittsburgh Oral History Initiative Collection, Pittsburgh WWII veteran Al Armandariz recalls the humane treatment given to army mules used in the China-Burma-India Theater. Since he was a kid, Al Armendariz had always been fascinated by medicine. He joined the army after the attacks on Pearl Harbor and entered basic training and medic training. He remembers his drill sergeant taking role call at 4:30 A.M. His motto? “We break you, or you’ll break us.” As a Latino who grew up in Los Angeles, Al experienced discrimination in the army. He was always chosen to be the one in the kitchen cleaning dishes. “I didn’t join the army to be washing forks and spoons.” He remembers how other Latinos he knew felt. “We were like prisoners,” he says. “Even when you were in your barracks, you were on call . . . it was very depressing.” Al was shipped overseas in 1944. After landing in Bombay, he worked as a medic, treating people who had been in accidents, had malaria, or even burn cases. He cared for locals too, despite being ordered not to. Al recalls the animals he saw in India, from the army mules to Bengal Tigers. He also had two pet monkeys, Tojo and Mike. Al says he was just an ordinary sergeant. “So I taught Tojo to salute me!” __________________________________________ This episode was recorded December 15, 2018 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.
