They begin with a lighthearted generational gap test comparing lyrics to "Blame It On..." across different age groups, before transitioning to important professional content. The hosts discuss upcoming classes at the International Training Conference (ITC) in New Jersey, highlighting courses on AI in fire investigations, lithium-ion batteries, and forensic evidence processing. The conversation takes a serious turn as they discuss safety protocols for investigators exposed to lithium-ion battery fires, revealing a new departmental procedure for blood testing after exposure to these hazardous materials. They share valuable insights on evidence collection, including a practical tip about an IAAI Evidence Collection Guide app that investigators can download to their phones for quick reference in the field. The episode wraps up with their "Unbiased Opinion" segment analyzing liability in a case involving a wall heater fire and teases their next topic on laminar versus diffusion flames. Dr. Matthew Flannery (CEO of 21st Century Cyber Charter School) kicks off the program today. Dr. Flannery shares "the what" and "the why" about the school (which has students from 300 school districts across Pennsylvania) and how your son or daughter can benefit. 21st Century Cyber Charter School is fully-accredited with tuition covered by the district where you live. More information is available at www.21cccs.org :) ESPN's Sarah Spain, an Emmy and Peabody-Award winning sports journalist, joins the show to talk about "Good Game"--a new daily podcast covering women's sports. Edgy at times, the podcast is designed to tackle the headlines of the day while incorporating interviews and opportunities to interact. Fab Morvan of Milli Vanilli also jumps on the program with thoughts on the new biopic, "Girl You Know It's True." Morvan and the other half of Milli Vanilli--Rob Pilatus (who passed away in 1998)--became global stars in the late 80s/early 90s with songs like “Baby, Don't Forget My Number,” “Blame It On the Rain” and “Girl I'm Gonna Miss You,” all of which went to #1 in the U.S. Meanwhile, a small circle of insiders knew that the Rob & Fab were not actually singing but rather lip-syncing to the voices of two other artists. At the height of their fame, Milli Vanilli won a Grammy Award, but the situation behind the scenes escalated, and the pressure on Rob and Fab grew. When the truth was revealed, they found themselves engulfed in one of the biggest scandals in music history. A recurring part of the biopic is how Rob & Fab did want to sing on their songs and not lip sync…but for different reasons the idea was squashed or delayed and never happened. Maybe things would've turned out a lot differently if they'd been able to do so. There's some language, suggestive content and the band's battle with drugs & alcohol, though those things are part of the Milli Vanilli story (not for gratuitiousness). “Girl You Know It's True” and also deals with themes of self-worth, fake (and true) friendship, and justice.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

I love the scene in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation where Chevy Chase is in the attic and he steps on board after board that hits him in the face. I used to almost pee my pants over that part. This music video for Blame It On the Mistletoe reminds me of the sentimental scene that follows the slap-happy board face-smacking scene. Clark found old family movies and he's reminiscing. Colleen was purposeful in having the video have that feel as well as a nostalgic timeless feel to the song. Colleen used her contacts during the pandemic to get this video created. She remembered asking a bandmate and his wife to do a kissing scene since you know, no actors during the pandemic were going to do a kissing scene, LOL!! Colleen shared about the venue, The Standard, in which the video was recorded. Colleen has performed there many times and met a lot of stars throughout her singing career. She had her friend, Nikki Williams, sing back up on this song. Nikki has some pretty impressive chops and is the go-to in Nashville for songwriting. Colleen gave the inside scoop as to how she and Nikki became friends. Nikki was all too happy to back up Colleen. I hope you all check it out but I don't hope for you to get it stuck in your head for a week, like I did! I "blame it on the mistletoe...." This is on my personal Christmas playlist and will stay there for all future Christmases. Full Show Notes
Eliza and Olive recap and review episode fourteen of season two; Blame It On the Alcohol! The New Directions throw caution to the wind in yet another school assembly... We are once again reminded that biphobia was rampant and unforgiving circa 2011, and even we can't defend Kurt Hummel this episode. At least Rachel Berry is slightly less annoying with letting loose (and not singing about hair accessories), right? Episode contains heavy discussion about underage drinking, alcoholism, addiction, and biphobia throughout. Please proceed with caution. I'm admittedly a bit scatterbrained in this episode… if you don't like it, you can Blame It On the Bellboy (1992). Also discussed, some better films: I Want You Back (2022) and Drive My Car (2021). Great stuff. Thanks for listening.
Happy Thanksgiving, turkeys! To round out our month of appreciation, we're celebrating our friendship and the movies we've introduced each other to over the years. We share a list of twenty movies (and one anime series) that made big impressions on us and that we could watch over and over again. We talk about everything from drama to anime to horror and more, including 3D Doritos and Jamie Foxx's single "Blame It On the Alcohol." Crack open a bottle of Wild Turkey, dive into a plate of lukewarm leftovers, and join us in celebrating movies we love.

Let us apologize now for the audio quality in this one but with our fourth (?) quarantine episode, it was bound to happen. This week we're talking all about the wet devil, Key-Dollar Sign-Ha, and Victorian night gowns. This week's episode is S2E14, "Blame It On the Alcohol." McKinley is under the throes of a teenage drinking crisis and the Glee Club is there to solve it with the power of K Dollar Sign Ah. Comedian and writer MIKE DRUCKER (Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, The Tonight Show, a billion other things) joins us for a very special episode where we break all the rules we made up and reach ahead to an episode of the Super Mario Bros 3 cartoon. And if that's a problem, you need to Blame It On the Rain because this episode rules. King Koopa kidnaps legendary German R&B group Milli Vanilli right out of their big Shea Stadium gig to try and get his niece to stop complaining. One problem though! Koopa kidnapped Princess Toadstool's all time favorite band and there's NO WAY Mario and company will let this stand. This cartoon is ridiculous and surely would've been Milli Vanilli's undoing if they hadn't been outed as frauds mere weeks before this episode's original air date.
