The 2021 football season is upon us as training camp starts this week. Will Jamal Adams sign a new deal? Reports are that it's going to happen, but at the same time neither side is close. If the Aaron Rodgers situation has taught us anything, it's that a new contract is likely right around the corner. It wasn't a good couple weeks for former Seahawks as Richard Sherman was recently arrested. We discuss the details of the incident. Mychal Kendricks is going to jail for one day for his involvement in insider trading. That was a case surrounding him in Seattle and it's finally been resolved. The Los Angeles Rams made a big move this offseason in trading Jared Goff for Matt Stafford. We discuss how the new Rams quarterback landed on a list Football Outsiders recently released and it's not one any franchise wants to be a part of. So did the Rams level up in the way that Michael Brockers thinks they did? The defense is likely to level down considering the loss of Brockers, John Johnson and former defensive coordinator Brandon Staley. Head coach Sean McVay has been busy podcasting this offseason and it has provided us with additional reasons to fuel your sports hate for the Rams this year. A big announcement in the second half of the show as we hit a big milestone and we still have tickets available if anyone wants to join us at the Seahawks home opener against the Titans. After our list of overrated teams last week, we revisit some of the selections as we welcome some new members to the Flock. Mike Florio is back in the Do Better segment along with a loyal listener of the show. Finally, we talk about why the CDC and a moose are Better at Life Than Skip Bayless. Post 'Go Hawks' in the comments for the latest

Discussion about LeBron James taking part in an ownership group that has purchased entities including the Boston Red Sox. LeBron has put his family in a position that his grandchildren are set for life. Maverick Carter's business mind needs to be commended as well. Sure its great to be friends with a great athlete, but that isn't what's going to get it done in the business world. Carter is getting it done in the business world. Discussion on the rash of violence geared toward Asian Americans. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts earlier this month has been one of many speaking out against the violence.Sebastian Joseph-Day - Defensive Lineman, Los Angeles RamsSebastian is involved with so many initiatives around the country. Most recently he donated resources to help feed 7,000 children in the Houston area. Sebastian credits his family & faith for having the desire to help so many & do so much outside of football. Saw what was happening to people in Texas and it just hit him to help as many kids as possible. His now former teammate Michael Brockers is a Houston native so the two combined to donate. Tries his best to educate people. It has become a goal of his to use his platform to educate for the better good. Will miss Michael Brockers. He is a brother. The business part of football is tough sometimes, but wishes Brockers nothing but the best. So many players for the Rams exemplify the kind of person you would want to be in life. He learned a lot from them his rookie year. The 'Joseph-Day Master Plan' is to help the next generation and influence them positively in any way he can. Hopes he can get a nice contract, he would do even more. Each year he wants to step it up. Talks about the flexibility he has with a master degree in labor relations which he is currently pursuing.

In this week's pod we chat fantasy parkrun locations, F'ing Your B, proud parkrun moments, croissant thieves as well as all the arbitraries. Hannah chats to health economist and parkrunner Rob Smith plus it's still Brockers' round.
Cecil asks Nick about players’ inability to get a proper medical exam due to COVID-19 including Michael Brockers and Brockers going back to the LA Rams. Cecil says the New England Patriots love Justin Herbert and asks Nick if he could see the Pats trading up to get him or Tua after it seems like Miami might be getting cold feet. We hear audio from TJ Houshmandzadeh on Schlereth & Evans talking about if Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant have the goods and what a weapon like Henry Ruggs III would do for the Broncos’ offense if Denver drafted him. Cecil talks to Nick about five teams that the Broncos could trade up with in the NFL Draft and the guys review Cecil’s latest article on 1043thefan.com.
The crew looks at what happened in the Michael Brockers situation where he failed his physical with Baltimore and returned to the Rams. How much did current travel restrictions play in part in it? They then evaluate the signing of Derek Wolfe, a defensive end who played the past 8 seasons in Denver. What will the duo of Calais Campbell & Wolfe look like?

This show was not your normal episode for Fred, Scott & Bryan as ALL 3 are remote with the "STAY-AT- HOME" order in place. But Eric DeCosta and The Ravens have made a flurry of moves this off-season that seem to be PURE GENIUS! From signing Campbell, to resigning both Jimmy Smith and Anthony Levine, and then after the Brockers deal fell through, they turn around and Get DT Wolfe on a solid deal that saves money. But there was one move that has us scratching our heads and it involves a trade with...THE STEELERS?? We also take a look back at the 2019 Draft class and give out grades to determine whether or not each met expectations. You also have to begin to look at this years draft, so the guys do a "War Room" Mock Draft on the site thedraftnetwork.com. This mock draft went WAY different that we anticipated based on the board, but allowed us to address some needs for this team. Opening Day for the Orioles was obviously heartbreakingly delayed with the Pandemic going on around the country and world. But it got Scott thinking, what is the biggest heartbreaks you have had with the Orioles. Former Orioles Center Fielder Adam Jones also had an interesting interview where he discussed potential of being back in an O's uniform, but as a Manager? The guys break this down and give their thoughts. And the Terps have not been playing, so this is bringing up some serious questions regarding some players on this team and what it may mean for next year. Both the Men's Basketball and Football team land huge recruits over the next few years, and Fred breaks down what this means.
NFL Network reporter MJ Acosta joins Sarina Morales to talk about the Rams recent moves in Free Agency, what she thinks of the new NFL playoff format, and which QBs will succeed in new homes this season.
Derek Ciapala and former Los Angeles Rams defensive back Michael Stewart discuss defensive lineman Michael Brockers’s return to the team.
We discuss if Derek Wolfe is a better deal than Michael Brockers and take a look back at the Ravens draft picks we loved, the ones we hated and the ones we completely missed on.You can find Pod Like A Raven on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Play and iHeartRadio! Joe and Dave are joined by Aaron Kasinitz, who covers the Ravens for PennLive.com. They talk about the early reports regarding Michael Brocker's physical, how COVID-19 has affected the offseason for teams and reporters, and how Eric DeCosta will operate in the draft. As always, make sure to subscribe and leave us a 5-star review!
Sadly, the Michael Brockers era is over. But we'll always have the memories. What do the Ravens do now? Are they absolved of blame in any of this? We discussed that to start today's show as well as what ESPN might do now for Monday Night Football after Peyton Manning rebuffed them again. Could they shift Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit to the NFL? At the bottom of Hour 1, our weekly NFL Draft segment-this time NFL Network analyst/former NFL GM Charley Casserly checked in to discuss the differences in ILB options (he has the Ravens taking Kenneth Murray at 28) and whether the changes to the process due to coronavirus could actually benefit the Ravens. In Hour 2, Drew Forrester (DrewsMorningDish.com) joined us to discuss Brockers, the NFL's screwy system and for this week's Andrew Stetka Quiz-what do you remember about the Orioles' LAST Opening Day? And we wrapped the show by chatting with Ravens Defensive Lineman Jihad Ward about re-signing in Baltimore.
The Rams have changed a lot this offseason. Jake and Alexis were well aware change was coming but listen to this episode to find out their thoughts on all the changes this offseason.

Everything is crazy right now. Not just the real world but the football world. We reacted to the Hayden Hurst trade and Michael Brockers acquisition to start today's show, is it odd to you that the areas we THOUGHT were the Ravens' biggest needs (rush linebacker and wide receiver) aren't the ones they necessarily prioritized? Oh and Tom Brady's future is under the microscope now. Late in Hour 1, former Ravens WR/WJZ analyst Qadry Ismail checked in to discuss the Ravens' moves and the future for Brady and the Patriots. Early in Hour 2, Rams analyst/former DT D'Marco Farr checked in to let us know more about what Brockers will bring to the Ravens. At the bottom of Hour 1, Maryland native Kam Carter (a lifelong Ravens fan) checked in to discuss his path from "Last Chance U" to now hoping to hear his name called in the NFL Draft. Late in Hour 1, Rachel Sheubrooks from Sliders joined us to talk about how they're continuing to serve the community during this difficult time. And we wrapped the show with Jaguars color analyst/former DE Jeff Lageman helping us get to know Calais Campbell.
This week Nicola gets excited about population pyramids, Brockers rubs shoulders with the parkrun world record holder and there's some mutual FOMO! Mark was back home at Hove Promenade parkrun whilst Nicola headed to the Mini Pow-Wow at Pontefract parkrun. There are lots of thingy-things, arbitraries and Twitter polls to discuss as well as someone ordering three breakfasts!
This week, Nicola and Mark go Dutch, indulge in tomfoolery and basically have a buzzing time! Mark went wandering at Worthing parkrun whilst Nicola explored one of the many course options at Woodbank parkrun. There’s the usual arbitraries, things that aren’t things and a spot of true comedy gold that comes straight from the heart.

They also traded first round pick for Deforest Buckner. They resigned Left Tackle Anthony Castonzo, Agreed to terms with vikings corner Xavier Rhodes and former Raiders/BRowns Corner TJ Carrie. This was after they cut Pierre Desir. Draftwise- Looking at the draftthey need some help with Wide Receiver, Tight End, Future at QB, Passrusher and maybe strong safety? They have reportedly in contact with QB prospect Jordan Love. What can they do with their 2 second round picks? Then we move to the AFC North- to talk about Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. Traded for Calais Campbel for a 5th. Traded Away hayden hurst for a 2nd round pick. Signed Derrick Wolfe after they were rumoured to be attached to Michael Brockers, but then failed Brockers on the physical. They Resigned Jimmy smith, hAve Marlon Humphrey on a rookie deal and already locked up Marcus Peters during the season. They Franchise tagged Matt Judon and gave Matt Skurra an Original round tender. But worries could amount as All Pro guard Marshal Yanda announces retirement. But with 2 picks in the fourth, the 3rd and second rounds of the NFL draft- the Ravens seem set to keep building up their strengths with very few weaknesses going into 2020.Then we get to the elephant in the room. The New England Patriots loses the GOAT Tom Brady to free agency- where he signed with the newly uniformed Buccaneers. So who do they replace him with? Brian Hoyer on a cheap-cheap deal and Jared Stidham (sounds like a Jeff Dunham puppet). Also Kyle Van Noy and Jamie Collins walk in free agency to join some former New ENgland Coaches. Bill Bellichick makes it a point to resign Devin McCourty and trade away Duron Harmon. This was all after he franchise tagged Guard Joe Thuney. Then he released Kicker Gostkowski. With not alot of money left- it seems the Patriots a pretty set at QB, unless they draft one. Are they tanking for Trevor next year? Or does Billy Boy have enough magical juice to turn his rostered QBs into stars?
