In today's episode, I invite you to savor the musical life of piano based singer and songwriter KATE MILLS. She creates lovely songs with honest lyrics and tells stories from the most recent years of her life with her debut album 'EACH BITTERSWEET DROP.' Kate was raised in Bucks County Pennsylvania and is currently settled in laid-back Astoria, Queens in New York with her husband Joey, but the sound of her album suggests something different. This young woman's musical psyche seems to hail from an earlier time in 1970's Southern California, an era and place I know well since I lived through it. She indeed was inspired by that emerging league of iconic Laurel Canyon singer-songwriters a la Linda Ronstadt, influences brushed with a touch of Dan Fogelberg and all blended together with modern artistry and production styles. As you will learn, Kate's songwriting is autobiographical and poetic, sometimes imbued with feelings she experienced as a social worker. She briefly shares how the escalation to creating her first record was nearly halted due to a debilitating digestive disease which was treated in a timely matter. Happily, she has completed and released this gorgeous project, and as you listen to us chat, I hope you'll enjoy Each Bittersweet Drop.http://www.katemillsmusic.com

In his seven volume work, The Physiology of Taste, he wrote, “Tell me what you eat and I will tell you what you are.” His attribution of diet to mental, emotional, and physical health was as an astute observation then as it is today. How does what we eat and how we eat affect us and can a study of our dietary habits provide ways to restore health, happiness and well-being?My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Tammy Westney, says you can achieve better living with the right nutrition. From John Zeigler's website: After being born on March 28, 1967 in Heidelberg, West Germany, John grew up in Bucks County Pennsylvania in the little town of Washington Crossing. Graduating from Holy Ghost Prep (Bensalem, PA) in 1985, Ziegler was known for being captain of the golf team (he was Bucks County Courier Times' "1984 Golfer of the Year"). John went on to Georgetown University where he graduated 1989 with a degree in Government and a minor in Theology and Philosophy (which, all together, prepared John for almost no gainful employment). --------------- In 2008, John Ziegler wrote, directed and produced the documentary "Blocking the Path to 9/11" and created www.HowObamaGotElected.com as a precursor to his next film, "Media Malpractice... How Obama Got Elected," which will come out in early 2009. A teaser video for that documentary has already been viewed by at least 1.8 million people on You Tube.
