A story that comes out of nowhere from Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà is that former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri was offered a 3 year contract to take over as manager of Nottingham Forest, and therefore replacing current boss Nuno after less than 4 months in charge. Maurizio Sarri who left his role as Lazio manager on the 13th March, after a poor run of form, was according to Alfredo Pedullà a target for Forest to take immediate control of the first team. The report also goes on to explain how Forest offered Sarri a lucrative 3 year deal and the promise of a transfer war chest in the summer. If this story is to believe, does this suggest that the club is not happy with current manager Nuno and is looking to replace him before to season is finished. Or were Forest testing the water with a well known and respect manager like Sarri, to see if they could lure him to The City Ground. Mauricio Pochettino has now managed as many games as his predecessor, Graham Potter, and eerily… their records are almost identical. But what isn't identical is their fate after those 31 games, with Potter sacked shortly after. So, why hasn't Pochettino received the same treatment and is he given the benefit of doubt due to his relative success as a manager? ‘Wembley of the North' was the phrase written by the media, as it's reported that Jim Ratcliffe wants Old - or new - Trafford to become the best in the country. So, do United need a new stadium, and are they at risk of turning a sacred stadium into a soulless stage?
