When 43-year-old Crystal Jones was found dead in her Oak Grove, Louisiana home in 2023, local law enforcement quickly ruled it a suicide. But nearly two years later, her sister Jana is still fighting for answers because so many things about Crystal's death just don't add up. From an oddly premature conclusion, to a mysteriously delayed shell casing finding, to troubling inconsistencies in her husband's story, this case is full of red flags that were seemingly ignored. With help from private investigator Sheila Wysocki, Jana is doing everything she can to uncover the truth. So was this a tragic suicide… or something far more sinister? On today's podcast, I chat with two brilliant IFS lead trainers, Pam Krause and Crystal Jones. We learn about their journeys to becoming IFS lead trainers, the evolution of the model's cultural awareness and inclusivity, and what it's been like to co-lead the newly updated IFS Online Circle together. We also dip our toes into a little controversy—should we skip the 6Fs? I loved hearing from them what it means to stay grounded in the core of the model while continuing to expand and evolve with care, community, and curiosity. Key Takeaways: “The core of the model has not changed at all.” Pam and Crystal reflect on how the IFS model has stayed steady while the perspectives, voices, and applications have continued to expand. How do different cultures experience Self Energy? What happens when we listen for joy, dance, chi, and loyalty as expressions of Self? How the model is evolving as more identities enter the space, adding richness and context. The 6 F's: should we still teach them? Pam and Crystal give context, clarity, and some new language around how and why the F's are helpful—especially for beginners. How the model teaches the steps to reach clients' protectors. We also explore mentoring, teaching, and the beautiful full-circle (pun intended!) relationship Pam and Crystal have developed through years of working together. Favorite Quote: “People are saying how they want to see themselves in the model, right? They want to see how it applies to them. And if we are not aware of our clients' identities, then we might miss it if we're looking for the eight C's.” – Crystal Jones

On today's podcast we celebrate 200 episodes of The One Inside! I take the guest's seat as my podcasting partner and co-producer, Jeff Schrum, leads the interview. We reflect on six seasons of guests, the show's impact on my life and work with clients, and why unblending is the real magic of IFS. We also dive into creative projects on the horizon, including my new mini-book on numbness and launching The One Inside Substack community.  Key Takeaways: Jeff and I talk about the fun behind the scenes of finding guests, editing interviews, creating show notes and graphics, and releasing an episode. My favorite part of the IFS model, and how I use it in my daily life. How six years of hosting this podcast has shaped not just my work, but my personal life and how I relate to my own parts. “Unblending is the hard part.” We get into why unblending is the heart of the IFS model, and how simply creating space between parts can be transformational. My controversial opinion on unburdenings. “There are a million reasons not to do the thing.” We talk about parts that hold us back from starting creative projects—whether it's a podcast, book, or blog—and how to work with them. My likes and dislikes...like how I like unblending, and how I dislike when my parts won't unblend. See also: maple syrup, apple cider, and movie theater popcorn.  "If I waited every other week to meet with my IFS therapist, IFS wouldn't be in my bones. You have to be doing this every day. Even if it's just small moments of awareness. That's the work."   This episode is full of laughs, reflection, and some behind-the-scenes stories you haven't heard before. I hope you enjoy it! Without Warning Podcast - Episode DescriptionWithout Warning Podcast: The Timeline of Tony Jones Step behind the curtain as renowned private investigator Sheila Wysocki unravels the truth behind real tragic deaths that just don't add up. In this gripping episode, we delve into the unsettling details surrounding the death of Crystal McCorry Jones. Sheila dissects the evidence, questions the truth, and demands justice for Crystal. Homicide detectives often question suspects to gather key information during an investigation. In cases involving a single gunshot, these incidents are treated as homicide unless evidence proves otherwise. Join us as we explore the intricate web of Tony Jones' alibi, his suspicious behavior, and the inconsistencies that have left a community in disbelief. Listen to the chilling interview of Tony Jones conducted by Detective Allen Irby at the West Carroll Sheriff's Office. Tony recounts his day, from his morning departure to the heart-wrenching discovery of his wife's body. His detailed timeline raises more questions than answers, with unsettling gaps and curious actions that defy logic. Jana, Crystal's sister, shares her initial impressions of Tony and describes his cult-like control over Crystal, leading her away from family and friends. Jana's observations of Tony's behavior following Crystal's death, including his immediate inquiries about life insurance and his inappropriate search for new relationships, paint a disturbing picture. We also delve into the critical role of victimology in suspicious death investigations. By understanding Crystal's life, habits, and relationships, we uncover patterns that suggest foul play rather than suicide. Crystal's tracking of Tony's location via his Google account before her death indicates her growing concerns about his activities. Given Tony's close ties with the local sheriff's department, the potential conflict of interest in the investigation raises further questions about the integrity of the case. How much did Tony's connections influence the investigation? Could there be a bias clouding the search for the truth? Workers' compensation is widely regarded as a non-discretionary expense. For some, it's an unfortunate cost of doing business that adversely impacts the bottom line. For others, however, it's a means of differentiating yourself from industry peers. In this episode, we spoke with Crystal Jones, a senior underwriter with The American Equity Underwriters, to explore practical ways mid and front-line managers can help reduce workers' compensation costs as a means of gaining a competitive advantage where it historically may not have existed. Professionally, Dr Jones has worked in many different modalities, including: chiropractic, reiki, yoga, doula work (for both birth + death); and they bring this radically full background into their exploration of presence, which leads us to find our YES. We discuss:Making decisions based on desire + joyThe value of being, listening + believing in healing environments The primary role of witnessing one another + the worldLeaving room for who we are without our titles + responsibilitiesWhy fulfillment needs to be an integral part of successHow the breath can help you make decisions and choose your Uncovering unconscious biases in the work placeDeconstructing money as “I love you” and other storiesDr Jones desires to create a practice that was based in radical vulnerability, revealing and allowing. They are  certified and have practiced in many modalities and see those languages of healing as tools that evoke awareness - rather than services to be offered. Through their deeply devoted practice to presence I create brave space for people to be with fullness of themselves. Dr. Jones spent 15 years working in clinical practice, specializing chiropractic, reiki, energy medicine, yoga, and birth and death doula work. Now she focuses her energy towards evoking conscious conversations, advocacy and boundaries that do not subscribe to the idea that people need to be “fixed”. On today’s episode you will learn about the connection between emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual health; how the body can heal Itself; what medical school curriculum is missing; what healing centered care is; about the truth of the lived experience; why everyone is perfect whole and complete as they are; why lived experiences are just as important as other aspects of health; why operating from a state of lack could be blocking your happiness; how brokenness originates in childhood and how it can be passed through generations if left unhealed; how to become validated in your truth; how to biohack self awareness; steps to reconnect to yourself; why knowing your power is a crucial step in taking ownership of your health and wellness; what true wellness is; why you need to feel your feelings all the way through; how to shift your consciousness and change your narrative; what collaborative healing looks like; and why the present moment is the only thing that matters! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/biocurious/message

When the woman owns her power, she heals herself.  When the woman heals herself, the universe elevates. Dr. Crystal Jones decided to master the art of holding space, but first she had to do it for herself. She uses her title as doctor to return power to its rightful owner.
