Last week, the Belgium Red Flames Women's Soccer Team qualified for the knockout stages of the 2022 Women's European Soccer Championships, the first time the team has advanced that far in a major tournament. Our friend and popular podcast guest Kris Van Der Haegen is the assistant coach of that team, as well as Director of Coach Education for the Belgium FA, and we thought it would be good to share some of his best things we have learned from him. In our search we came across episode 80 from 2018, clips from three amazing podcasts in our first two seasons that changed the way John has coached his teams. Upon listening, we had to share it again. This episode contains lessons from Kris www.icoachkidseu.com, @KrisVDHaegen), Mark Upton (founder of www.MyFastestMile.com, @uppy01) and Mark Bennett (www.PDSCoach.com, @PDSCoach), long clips and then John's explanation on how these clips influenced his coaching, and how he implemented them. Our hope with the podcast is not just to disseminate information, but bring about change, not just for our listeners, but ourselves. These three coaches certainly did that and hopefully they will for you as well. This week's podcast is brought to you by our friends at Sprocket Sports. Sprocket Sports is a new software platform for youth sports clubs. Yeah, there are a lot of these systems out there, but Sprocket provides the full enchilada. They give you all the cool front-end stuff to make your club look good– like websites and marketing tools – AND all the back-end transactions and services to run your business better so you can focus on what really matters – your players and your teams. Lacey Haegen is a makeup artist and the owner of Beaute Nouveau - a handmade skincare collection. Her whole life she was taught and encouraged to be learning, questioning, creative, and resourceful. When she began to investigate what was in all the products we put on our skin, she was horrified and knew there had to be a better way, so she made it herself. This episode is one of my favorite’s so far as we deep dive into the realities of entrepreneurship and the truths behind our skincare and makeup products.
Head of Coach Education and Development at the Scottish FA Greig Paterson and Craig Joyce were joined by Kris Van Der Haegen, Director of Coach Education at the Belgian FA.
