Zar. Zendegi. Azadi. Women. Life. Freedom. That's the slogan given by Iranian women protesters after 22-year-old Mahsa Amini died after being allegedly beaten in police custody for wearing her hijab improperly. The other popular slogan is “death to the dictator”. Over 40 persons have been killed in the protests in about 50 cities across Iran since Mahsa Amini's death. The protests continue in the face of a massive crackdown by the hardline Islamic regime even as internet bans continue. WhatsApp, Instagram and Skype have been shut down by the government. One of the fundamental demands of the protesting women is that wearing a hijab should not be mandatory. In some other societies, it would be looked upon as a basic right. But not in Iran.

Meanwhile, people are being given tracking bracelets for traveling and many Chinese people have had enough. They're ripping them off and they're protesting the obvious transhumanist tyranny. Is this the beginning of a massive uprising? We can perhaps get a glimpse of what's to come for us under a Great Reset technocratic scenario by seeing what happens next in China. What we see happen in China eventually trickles down to the rest of the tyrannical world. As China's the goal for the New World Order or Great Reset, how the state and how the people handle this uprising will tell us if we have a hope in our battle for humanity. The boys hit the streets on this week's episode of Talking Tacos! That's right, the weather fucked this week and we ate outside for the first time in 2022. Spring is really here and summer is right around the fucking corner. It's about time. True to street eating form, we encountered several friends passing by the table and we left it all in. We're the boys of the people. We have two hot sauces this week, one from Hoff's and one from Angry Goat Pepper Co, the latter of which we almost finished. There were just a few splashes left. We get uncomfortably deep into what the anatomy of live inanimate objects look like. No idea what we're talking about? Ever watch a Disney movie where a normally inanimate object is a fucking living being, like a chair with a sassy personality? What does their fucking skeletal structure look like? Do they have skeletons? Or organs? Freaky shit, man. We also make fun of crypto bro tears and define what it is to take a selfie, and why we should probably all stop. Grab your tequila and your tacos and let's get weird.
Antifa activists are active again in Portland and Seattle, inspired by a leaked draft of a Supreme Court decision this week reversing Roe v. Wade. Neither city is ready for a repeat of Black Lives Matter-inspired left-wing riots and vandalism. But Antifa is now more dangerous than ever.Antifa operates most effectively during left-wing movements where they rely on partisan media outlets and like-minded politicians to either justify or ignore their unlawful activity. It's one reason why they pose an enormous threat as pro-abortion activists take to the streets to protest a Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. In the annual "State of the City" address in Surrey today, Mayor Doug McCallum reiterated that forming a civic police force is "the right move". And he says the new officers will be ready to hit the streets by July next year. The event sparked something of a controversy, because of the decision to have a police car sitting outside - fully emblazoned with ‘Surrey Police Department' text and logos on the side. Cloverdale Community Association President Mike Bola says the decision to roll out a Surrey PD vehicle before the new civic force is even approved by the provincial government is “mindboggling” and a “waste of money” We are told the colours of the new SPD are yellow, blue and red. Guest: Janet Brown Global News Senior Reporter
Happy May Day! Find an action near you HERE. To celebrate the anniversary of the strike that led to Haymarket, and the 8 anarchists executed for it (two of whom were anarchist media producers themselves!) we bring you our favorite anarchist news reporting from throughout history. As an anarchist news show ourselves, we wanted to pay homage to all the anarchist newspapers, zines, and other media projects that have inspired us. You'll hear reports from as far back as the Paris Commune, the punny and irreverent 1980s British organization Class War, a 1977 article in Fifth Estate about this newfangled thing called punk rock, coverage of the very first nationwide-called-for black bloc in the US, a firsthand report from the streets of Seattle in 1999, and much more. We'll even have guest appearances by other anarchist podcasters, like MC Sole, the Stimulator, The Final Straw's William Goodenuff, and our friends from Resonance Audio Distro. We'll air our regular weekly episode on Thursday, May 3—a day late—so that we can include as much May Day 2018 coverage as possible.
