We love Joe Corallo. If you’ve ever spoken to the man for longer than three minutes, you’d quickly see why. Joe is engaging, kind, funny, and a hell of a talented writer and editor. Joe is the mastermind editor behind the Eisner-nominated anthology Mine! A celebration of liberty and freedom for all benefiting Planned Parenthood. (with the recent Supreme Court decision reversing Roe vs Wade this anthology is more important than ever) Joe is also the co-creator of the Comixology Originals series The Never-Ending Party is available now on Amazon! It’s free to read if you’re an Amazon Prime member. We chat with Joe about the do’s and don’ts of networking, how long should you wait to email that editor you met, and proper Ringo Award show attire. Heros Con 2022 Wrap up!We’d also like to wish a warm welcome to all of those fine folks who signed up for our newsletter at Heroes Con in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kevin and I love this show. Heroes holds a special place in my heart: This is the show where we met Walter and decided to embark on the creative journey that birthed Metalshark Bro. This is where Kevin and I met lifelong friends like Jamie Jones and Kyle Starks and cemented relationships with Drew Moss and Marc Deerling. This year proved to be no different. We made some new friends in Josh Hood, Jeremy Brooks, John Burgin, Sean Von Gorman, and David Byrne. That is to say, we met them IRL as the kids say. We also met two spunky go-getters Brie and Jennifer through our buddy JOSEPH SCHMALKE. We sold a lot of books, gave out some sage-like advice on the business of making comics, and set up future projects. We’d like to thank Shelton, Karla, and all of the staff that made Heroes another dynamite show. See you all next year. Currently Reading/Recently finished booksNorm MacDonald Based on a True Story: I’ve been wanting to read this for quite a while. It is proving to be worth the wait. Hitler’s American Freinds: A look at the many groups, people, and political organizations that we Nazi supporters in the United States during the war.The Many Lives of Laila Starr: This one goes without saying. It was fantastic. Bold storytelling and artwork. A masterpiece. Criminal Omnibus Vol1: Found it half off (half off!) at an Anime Con I took my daughter and her friends to. What a great book. Bitter Root Vol 1: A lot of fun. The writing is sharp and the artwork slaps. Not sure why I waited so long to hear this but man, it’s great. Cheers,The Word Bros!Shop the Word Bros Store! That out of the way, they review the latest round of promotions and other news from the system. They break down the extension Matt Barnes signed and talk about Connor Seabold's eagerly anticipated system debut. The guys also talk about which other players have been tabbed to play in the Olympics and their impressions from the Futures Game. Celebrity-socialite Reno Selleti doesn’t believe in very much beyond Instagram comments, hipster drugs, and the flash of paparazzi cameras, so when a friend invites her to an EYES WIDE SHUT-type party she goes along mostly for the lulz. But the joke doesn’t feel as funny when she realizes it’s an actual occult ritual, and suddenly she’s seeing things… horrifying apparitions trying to warn her. “RUN.” There's Nothing There is a stylish & hallucinatory thriller about losing yourself in the bright lights and finding yourself at rock bottom by writer Patrick Kindlon, artist Maria Llovet, and published by Black Mask Studios. Patrick joins Brett and Elana for a brand new episode of Graphic Policy Radio to discuss the series and more. Patrick Kindlon is a comic writer whose credits include a decade of struggle in other artistic fields, some notoriety among people who get caught shoplifting from Whole Foods, and a few really great comics (due largely to collaborations that elevate his work). His breakthrough book was We Can Never Go Home with oft writing partner Matthew Rosenberg and artist Josh Hood. His most recent work, There's Nothing There with artist Maria Llovet, ups the darkness in his earlier work to pitch black. He is admittedly out-of-touch. Tweet us your questions @graphicpolicy.

It's not often we get to use that 20/20 hindsight but sometimes, after hitting the reset button, that clear vision comes in very handy.
