'Day waves' es un disco que el trompetista brasileño Claudio Roditi, que formó parte del grupo de Paquito D´Rivera y de la United Nations Orchestra de Dizzy Gillespie, grabó en septiembre de 1991 con obras de Jobim como 'Sue Ann' y 'Ana Luiza' o 'Theme for Leny', para la cantante Leny Andrade, y 'A hug for Claudio' dedicado al trompetista por su amigo el percusionista brasileño Thiago de Mello. Thiago de Mello y el clarinetista y saxofonista estadounidense Dexter Payne publicaron hace 20 años 'Another feeling' con instrumentales como 'Rede de caboclo', 'A hug for Gil Evans' o 'No wolf at the door'. Airto Moreira, uno de los percusionistas más influyentes de la historia, firma 'Maracanós' con el pianista, compositor y productor Ricardo Bacelar ('Pé no chao', 'Bumba meu boi', 'Vôo da tarde' -con la voz de Flora Purim-). Geja stond met het Draadkracht Team op de Handwerkbeurs in Houten. Buiten dat Geja en Leny aan 90 mensen een workshop hebben gegeven, vonden ook de pakketjes om de Whimsey Fancy te maken gretig aftrek. Ze ontmoetten bovendien een nieuw draadkrachtig contact Eva van Eevees, die in de podcast vertelt over haar kunst en haar workshops. Binnenkort ook workshops in het Draadkracht atelier.In het atelier zijn diverse nieuwe (zomer) garens op plantaardige basis. De winter heeft toegeslagen in de Zaanstreek, maar in De Week van De Orkaan hebben we het daar maar liever niet over. Er was genoeg ander nieuws om ons bezig te houden. Zo had onze eigen hoofdredacteur Merel Kan een drukke week. Ze sprak met twee krakers van het uitgebrande en opnieuw gekraakte en weer ontruimde pand aan de Westzijde. Ook kwam Sidney Swart langs om over De Juffer te vertellen. Daarnaast moest ze natuurlijk ook ons aansturen … Piet Bakker had een uitje. Hij was bij de onthulling van de kandidatenlijst van Lokaal Zaans en kwam daar een oude bekende tegen. Leny is back, schreef hij dan ook over oud-wethouder Leny Vissers. Di-Lan Sun, die ook mee mocht met Piet, vroeg of lijsttrekker Marianne de Boer een beetje blij was met de kandidatenlijst voor de gemeenteraadsverkiezingen van 18 maart. Jelmer de Vries praat je bij over het warmteprogramma van Zaanstad. Daar werd over gesproken in het Zaanstad Beraad. Dat alles en nog een beetje meer in deze Week van De Orkaan.

Nikdy bychom si dopředu netipnuli, že zrovna vidcast s pořadovým číslem 367 bude pro Vortex tak speciální. A dopadlo to tak, že si zvolili nestraníka Filipa Turka doživotním čestným prezidentem a slíbili novým členům slevu na benzín.„Kongres nebyl ani tak kongres, jako spíš jedna dlouhá tiskovka a především show. Hello Rank Squad!We're dialling in today on the big news that broke this week - Manchester United's sacking of Erik ten Hag and their approach to replace him with Sporting CP's Rúben Amorim - which at the time of recording looks very close to being completed. First of all, Dean walks us through the ins and outs of how the Manchester United backroom came to the conclusion that they were going to part ways with Ten Hag, and why it happened at this point; before detailing their approach for Amorim and how they were able to move so swiftly and efficiently in securing their first-choice target. Then, in Part Two, Jack takes over to talk about what Amorim brings to the table, both on a personal level and from a tactical perspective. We discuss the nature of Sporting when he took over there, and how he has form for turning around a huge club which is on its knees, as well as his communication mastery and how he has got a disparate group of players to buy into his methods and turned Sporting from also-rans to the dominant force in Portuguese football. There's also a chat around how his formation and ideology maps onto this current Manchester United squad - the players who will thrive in Amorim's 3-4-2-1 and those who might struggle for minutes, as well as some thoughts about problem areas which United will probably have to look to tackle in the January transfer market or the summer. Finally, in Part Three, we talk a little bit about Monday's Ballon d'Or trophy, which was awarded to Rodri of Manchester City and Spain. There was quite a fallout from his victory, including Real Madrid somewhat throwing their toys out of the pram about the fact that Vinicius Jr didn't win it, so we give our thoughts on the entire unsavoury scene. It's Ranks!
