The everyday stuff called matter turns out to be both more fascinating and stranger than we usually assume. In this episode of the Sheldrake-Vernon Dialogues, Rupert Sheldrake and Mark Vernon ask just matter is, beginning with contemporary ideas from quantum physics, in which matter is frozen light, as the physicist David Bohm put it. They consider the relationship between matter and gravity, as well as matter and ancient notions of potentiality, which turn out to be surprising relevant today. The differences between quantity and quality offer another conversational thread, with the discussion also drawing in wider questions, such as the nature of matter within the philosophy of panpsychism, and also the etymological links between matter and mater, or mother, revealing factors about material of which most are unconscious today. For more conversations between Rupert and Mark seehttps://www.sheldrake.org/audios/sheldrake-vernon-dialogueshttps://www.markvernon.com/talks

Then came recording day...and a no-hold-barred, no-subject-off-limits discussion that displayed her true strength, inside and out. Zachary Murdock is a musician, the Pink Hearse Podcast creator and host, a father, a producer, and an all-around creator. What I found fascinating about him is that he does all of it from the perspective of integrating the shadow side of our psyche, which some people have heard about and some even work on integrating, but not many carry themselves with such commitment to the truth in that space. I had an incredible time talking to Zach about life, the mind, music, and humanity as a whole. This episode of the Sheldrake-Vernon Dialogues continues Rupert and Mark's exploration of Dante's Divine Comedy, taking a lead from Mark's book, Dante's Divine Comedy: A Guide for the Spiritual Journey. Dante is now guided by Beatrice through the heavenly spheres and into the Empyrean. It is a journey into the abundance of infinity and eternity, which immediately struck Rupert as akin to a DMT trip. Mark and Rupert explore how that is an apt analogy with Dante enabling us to incorporate the visionary into everyday life and understand how deeper perceptions of being can inform different times and cultures. The conversation moves over the relationship between the one and the many, the universal message of Christianity, the ways in which love and intellect work in tandem, and how Dante can aid various quests for knowledge today.

Welcome to the 11th episode — episode 3 of season 2, of the WitchHunt podcast! This is an exceptionally touching conversation with Witch and Heart Guide Arya Yaguareté, who shares with us her dark night of the soul, and how honoring the shadow and the truth that lay within the shadow led her to the most mystical of rebirths. Arya shares with us her courageous story of miscarriage, divorce and leaving her 6-figure job as a corporate leader in Toronto to honor her true calling in a small mountain town. She tells us how these experiences — albeit terrifying at times — took her into to her true, empowered self. And how she has, throughout it all, managed to honor each and every part of her journey so as to emerge whole, wise, strong and in a place of full trust. One of my favorite nuggets is Arya's wise share around how the witchhunts and long-standing witchwound that stems from us turning on our sisters can serve us in deepening an authentic relationship with ourselves. Listen to the episode to hear more. This is an episode for all you Witches out there who are curious about shadow work, and the potential it has to support your fulfillment, magic potential and energetic expansion. Through her firsthand experience working with the divine and her own inner knowing, Arya learned to embody her true self and courageously created a fulfilling life. This conversation is Part I of a two part series devoted to unlocking the stories surrounding a statue that was unveiled on February 15, 1921 - the 101st birthday of Susan. B. Anthony. Years in the making, the Portrait Monument was a labor of love for the "sculptress of the suffrage movement," Adelaide Johnson (1859-1955). Special guest Sandra Weber, author of The Woman Suffrage Statue: A History of Adelaide Johnson's Portrait Monument at the United States Capitol (2016 McFarland) and the foremost expert on the statue, joins us for this special mini series. In 2012 Weber was awarded a Capitol Historical Society Fellowship to study the Portrait Monument. She consulted numerous archives - not only Adelaide Johnson's papers, but also the archives of the Architect of the Capitol - who oversaw the placement of the statue in the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol - and then subsequently to the crypt. Join us to learn about Weber's journey in unearthing numerous treasure-stories connected to the statue and to women's history on the 100th anniversary of the statue's unveiling. We also focus on Susan B Anthony (1820-1906) who as we will learn, played an invaluable role in the creation of the Portrait Monument that was unveiled 15 years after her death, and on her 101st birthday.

We naturally talk about seeking the light at the end of the tunnel, or hoping to be enlightened. But are such phrases that reference light more than metaphors? In this episode of the Sheldrake-Vernon Dialogues, Rupert Sheldrake and Mark Vernon explore how light is both physical and spiritual, and note the remarkable harmony between scientific and mythical ways of exploring light. They ask about the links between light and intelligence, as discussed by figures from Plato to Dante, as well as how our inner lives, say when we dream, include light. Rupert reflects on his time in the ashram of Bede Griffiths, and Mark recalls remarks made by Roger Penrose. It turns out that the way we talk about the experience of light is hugely suggestive of the nature of reality. There are good reasons light is so closely associated with the divine. For more dialogues between Rupert and Mark see:https://www.sheldrake.org/audios/sheldrake-vernon-dialogueshttps://www.markvernon.com/talks

I am grateful to speak with and be in a place of transparency with my mother as she requested to have this mother, daughter talk in recognition of my traversing deeper into my womanhood. I recently celebrated my 36th solar return this month (REP YOUR SET VIRGOS!!). My mother and I speak often and have many heart to hearts in support of one another not only out of our relationship dynamic, but also as two women who continue to seek and strive towards living our bests in all the transitions of life. I am happy to share this vulnerable space and be on the receptive end as the woman that I continue to evolve into as my mother addresses moments of our history together that have been honorable as well as difficult. *In mindfulness of Suicide Prevention Month, if you or anyone else may be having a difficult time finding your light in the wound at this time of your life, please understand that you have value and have worth.

The Century edition of this show has arrived. I've produced 100 shows and am very proud of the content and guest I have shared with the world. However, I'm even more excited about the future of the LIAM show and the lives it will change. Listen as I explain more: Listen on iTunes or Listen to/download this episode here: Show Outline: Intro to #1 - That's it all started on 9/14/14. I smile and cringe when I hear that intro! I read my script! That was the only time I wrote/read a script! Here we are at 100. An amazing journey. Lots of content, many great guests, unbelievable listener support. I want the show to be a fan-archy -- driven by what you want/need in your life. brucevanhorn.com/survey1 At Session #1, I had no idea how many people would listen, or if it would be well received. My intuition told me it would be; I believed in the concept, had a vision and passion for it, and gave it my highest priority--stopped writing books, taking on new clients--until it was fully in flight. My hunch paid off and it has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done in my life! Listeners in 179 countries.
