Welcome to Episode 56 of the Witchhunt podcast. This is a story of real life magic and miracles. And of what it takes to live a life of magicianship. Meet Danielle Brooks, serial without-a-plan-meanderer, conscious creator, self-healing cancer survivor and conduit of a healing frequency through song and touch. You are going to be blown away by Danielle's story and enchanted by her voice. Sidenote: My personal challenge recording this episode was simply not going into deep relaxation and trance just by hearing her voice. Danielle shares her jaw-dropping story of how she went from the epitome of success to losing everything — cancer diagnosis and homeless at ground zero after 9/11. She tells us how she opened herself to the Mystery, learning from traditional healers of ancient lineages in the Phillipines and Brazil. And how she not only healed herself, but came to be a healer to others. And how one Easter weekend, she found herself in the sacred Cave of the White Lady in the Philippines, went into a deep trance to be sung through by the Mother of Creation, amongst other light beings. This is an unbelievable (and I don't use that word lightly) story of surrender, humility and integrity. Of being broken down and cracked open into becoming a conduit of higher frequency, so as to support and uplift the sacred remembering in people. Get ready to be enchanted by Danielle's voice, and blown away by her story. Enjoy! More about Danielle: Danielle is a sacred singer, a globetrotting adventurer and torchbearer of the larger vision and higher realms. She carries the Creation codes that when sung, open Universal wisdom, initiate sacred expansion into Oneness and offer profound healing. She has dedicated the past 6 years to working primarily with Gaia and our oceans in remote parts of the world. Her path has always been one of radical trust and transformation through the power of self love and acceptance. In 2001, diagnosed with cancer, she left an unhealthy marriage and moved across the world only to find herself alone, at ground zero, on 9/11. Pain was a patient teacher that ultimately led her into a joy filled way of living. In 2005 the Divine Mother began to sing through Danielle and a new form of vibrational medicine emerged. Combined with her background in Philippine and Brazilian psychic surgery, mysticism and shamanism, Danielle offers a unique and powerful way to transform yourself and create a heart centred way of living that is natural and true. Welcome to episode 54 of the WitchHunt podcast. This is a conversation that dances at the intersection of love, anger and the healing medicine of the sacred masculine. We talk about the importance of not only normalizing struggle in our day-to-day lives, but of learning how to navigate it — and the plethora of feelings it offers up — with neutrality, wisdom, perspective and a good sense of humour. We also talk about things nobody else talks about like how egoic growth accompanies our spiritual growth and why it's important to stay conscious of this, of the importance of healing from empathy (especially for women) and of the magic that lives in your raging eye of the storm. Hold onto your broomstick witches, as you take in the power, wisdom and healing words of Osa Natalie Fraser. She perpetually continues her studies in western modalities of counselling along with ancient and modern healing practices from around the world. Natalie takes this approach in order to be able to meet each client's needs rather than the client being limited to one treatment method or ceremony style. Her work has taken her into offices, schools, hospitals, community and retreat centres , seniors centres, spiritual spaces and family homes, making her work universal and adaptable to all. Her “soul” purpose is to give you the tools to help you heal yourself. Her calling is to serve love. How to find her:www.nataliefraser.cawww.moment-m.ca

I met today's guest, Chanti Zak, 5 years ago when I hired her to build a quiz funnel for me. It was an amazing experience that did wonders for the business I had back then. But it was just me hiring a lovely smart woman who knew her stuff, in the early days of her biz, to grow my list. What a pleasure to reconnect and get to know this amazing woman's story — and her whole gorgeous witchy self. I don't want to give too much away, but suffice to say that this incredible woman, mother, online entrepreneur, word and earth witch went from being a young girl troubled with finding herself in a woman's body to one inspired by the magic of plant medicine to create a life of freedom, magic and bliss. Welcome to Episode 38, On A Mission. In this episode you get the privilege of meeting and learning from Emily Anne Brant — an indigenous author, speaker and mentor on a mission to decolonize the personal development, spiritual and coaching industry. Emily shares how she grew up watching Oprah with her mom on a First Nation's Reservation in Northern Ontario, Canada. But then how, when she entered personal development programs and containers as a white presenting woman of mixed indigenous and settler ancestry, she ended up leaving her indigenous self at the door. She talks about cultural appropriation and her experience of being spiritually bypassed and whitewashed by coaches and mentors in so-called “safe” coaching containers. Emily offers some super important insight on cultural appropriation, white guilt and tears, as well as the most beautiful solution for the First Nations communities — ceremony as healing. Emily also explains how imagination and therefore manifestation is also a privilege. Ultimately, Emily's vision is a safe space where the Global Majority (BIPOC) can thrive and feel supported. This episode is a beautiful reminder of how this industry — albeit transformative and well-meaning — emerged as a luxury product for wealthy white people and continues to perpetuate colonial ways of being and doing business, and life. And how it's time for some radical change, here. This episode is for anyone on who's part of this industry and wants to do the right thing. You in? Let's go. In solidarity, Alex More About Emily and Her Magic Emily is an indigenous author, speaker & mentor working at the intersection of personal development and decolonization. She's on a mission to decolonize the personal development industry. Emily works both directly with women of the global majority (BIPOC) as an empowerment coach, and is also a consultant for ally coaches who want to decolonize their business. At the heart of it all is fostering communities where everyone feels seen, safe, and truly supported so that we can all rise together! Welcome to episode 37 of the WitchHunt podcast! The woman you are going to meet today is not only very dear to me, she is also someone who facilitated my initiation on the Priestess Path. Meet the lovely Witch, Priestess, healer and artist, Deanna Lankin! Deanna's story, wisdom, depth and living practice of surrender to the Divine shine throughout. Amongst so many magical stories, she tells us how she was spontaneously and unexplainably healed of a spinal injury that left her unable to paint, hold her daughter or drive. And how sparked by curiosity, this magical moment, led to a lifelong exploration of her soul journey through the hypnosis, including the modality that she mentors me in — beyond quantum healing. I could go on forever about Deanna and her amazingness, so I'll stop and let you have the pleasure of her sweet old soul energy. Enjoy! xx Alex More about Deanna Lankin and her magic During the summer of 2016, at the height of her art career (after selling a painting to the Prime Minister) Deanna sustained a devastating vertebrae injury. After all attempts at repair failed, Deanna was prescribed to start counselling to help adapt to her new life as a disabled person. Then in 2017 Deanna experienced a spontaneous, complete healing while vacationing in Hawaii. She became passionately dedicated to uncovering what had happened that day and found answers in “Hypnotherapy” which she has since termed Daydreaming. She has been offering sessions professionally in service ever since and is in the process of publishing a manual to access this miraculous state. Deanna currently lives an inspired life in the rainforest & across from the ocean with her partner and daughter. She paints, writes and lectures about her experiences, the practices she's developed and has been invited on retreats, television, podcasts and radio shows. Welcome to episode 34 of the WitchHunt podcast! In this episode, I interview Lydiana Garcia, a Medicine Woman, claircognizant intuitive and licensed psychologist who is taking her healing practice to a whole and holy, new level. We talk about how Lydiana's intuitive reading of people and their stories — even as a child — led her to become a psychologist. She also talks about how her formal training in Psychology led her away from her inherent intuition. And how, through her own healing journey as a BIPOC woman and healer, she unearthed the limitations of formal psychological tools, especially for highly traumatized spiritual BIPOC women, or as I'm more consciously calling this demographic — the Global Majority women. I see Lydiana's trailblazing work weaving an ancient deeper knowing sourced by the Divine Feminine into the healing of traumatized Global Majority women because they will be the ones to lift it up. You're going to love this episode! x Alex More about Lydiana and where you can find her magic Dra. Lydiana Garcia is a Boricua intuitive trauma healer and psychologist; licensed in California and in Florida. She loves helping women and femmes that experienced childhood abuse (including sexual), that are witchy and feel disconnected from their calling and who they are, heal their traumas and reconnect with their gifts, and who they are, and experience feeling connected, supported and joyful. Lydiana provides individual and family therapy, 1:1 and group coaching, speaking engagements, and consultations. She also has 2 podcasts: The BEyond Resilience Life (a bilingual English and Spanish podcast about resiliency and overcoming life adversities) and Licensed Psychologist, Now What? Lydiana is also a mama of two little ones, a wife, and a seeker. www.drlydianagarcia.com www.thebeyondresiliencelife.com
Hello! In this new moon episode, I have the pleasure of introducing you to a healing beam of light and hope, Kaycee Joy, also known as the Queer Priestess. Kaycee's story is one of darkness to light. She shares how she survived an abusive church going family of origin, became a teenage mom to a drug addict, gave her power away in so many ways as a teen, had 2 more kids with 2 different men — one highly abusive. She talks about her experience teaching children to love themselves unconditionally, as a child pastor. And how when she unconditionally started embracing her own queerness, falling in love and marrying the woman of her dreams, she was told to leave the church. She talks about how she healed herself from a sense of shame and brokenness, and how without having gone through the darkness, she would not have been prepared to step into her power and honor her soul calling — to heal the queer community through her light, love and magic. This is an episode that everyone needs to listen to. Enjoy. xx Alex More About Kaycee. Hello, I am Kaycee Joy, The Queer Priestess! Welcome to Episode 32, part 2 of Odd and Awed : A mind blowing counter-cultural conversation with anti-capitalist agents of the Divine Feminine & badass word witch authors, Amy Torak and Risa Dickens. In this second part of this interview with Amy and Risa, we dive into some of the topics that weave their way through their books New Moon Magic: 13 Anti-Capitalist Tools for Resistance and Re-enchantment (coming out in September 2023), and Missing Witches: Reclaiming True Histories of Feminist Magic — one of my all time favorite books on witches. Just to give you a taste of the juiciness… We talk about the complex historical relationship between science and magic, including the politics of science that matters, and how Witches were actually the first real scientists. We talk about the dysfunctionality of the global economic system and its' lack of learning from nature's lessons on the critical importance of diversity and balance. We talk about indigenous knowledge, the difference between reconciliation and reparation for indigenous peoples as well as the problem — and potential — of white guilt. If you're curious about radically expanding your perspective and tuning into a much needed intersectional take on everything witch-related, then brew your tea and set aside a good delicious hour to listen to this mind expanding episode. xx Alex More about Amy and Risa Risa Dickens and Amy Torok are the co-authors of New Moon Magic: 13 Anti-Capitalist Tools for Resistance and Re-enchantment September 2023, and Missing Witches: Reclaiming True Histories of Feminist Magic, March 2021. Happy first New Moon of 2023! I'm so excited to share this episode with you — it's raw and real and full of fun! In it I interview the authors of one of the best witchy books I've read — Missing Witches, who happen to be super smart counter-cultural anti-capitalist agents of the divine feminine, Amy Torak and Risa Dickens. Because the share is so incredibly valuable I've decided to share it in 2 parts. In today's airing — part 1 — you'll hear about Amy and Risa's personal experiences as best friend witches. We talk about the magic that brought these witches together, what it was growing up in the 1980s as a “freak”, Divine, the Drag Queen, urban and rural witchcraft, the magic of straight lines and projective geometry and so much more! This is a mind blowing philosophical conversation between 3 witches (I'm including myself in there) — each born in Ontario, Canada and raised (or not so much) by single moms (curious, right?). These incredible women are the real deal my friends and I'm not exaggerating when I say that the episode is going to blow your mind! Enjoy! xx AlexMore about Amy and Risa. I'm so excited to share with you episode 22 of the WitchHunt podcast: “Yo no soy una bruja” — a conversation with plant-witch, kitchen-witch and a Spanish Witch's granddaughter, Angela Accomando. Ever wonder what it might have been like to be raised by a Witchy grandma? Well grab your headset and get ready to hear some hilariously witchy speaking-to-the-dead-at-family-dinner-parties stories from our beloved New York plant witch, Angela Accomando. Angela was raised in New York City by her Spanish grandmother — a clandestine witch who, while insisting on secrecy more broadly, practiced healing magic with her family and all those who asked. Angela denied her feminine witchy side until she began to unravel how the patriarchy manifested inside of her through her work with Dr. Valerie Rein. It was only after understanding Patriarchy Stress Disorder (amazon.ca link to book here) that she allowed herself to embrace the magic she grew up with. This episode offers a lot of laughs as Angela takes us into her childhood through story. It also speaks to the truth around how patriarchy-induced trauma has kept, and continues to keep women from honoring their witchy side for thousands of years. It also highlights how women of past generations have navigated the patriarchy in a way that keeps them safe, without denying their truth and power. A witchy episode for this witchy season — Enjoy! x Alex P.S. She tells us how, despite keeping her craft in the closet until the age of 50, breadcrumbs (or pebbles, as she calls them) kept coming her way eventually leading her to a position of leadership within a pagan coven. She tells us about the roll martial arts and tarot played in her “awakening” (my word, not hers) and offers beautiful definition of ritual, as well as unraveling the difference between high (ceremonial) and folk magic. But above all, the theme that weaves its way through this episode is of freedom and diversity, and how both are embraced by “the craft”. I know you'll appreciate Jen's experience and her nuggets of wisdom in this episode. Enjoy! xx Alex More About Jen and how to find her MAGIC

Welcome to episode 2 of season 3 of the WitchHunt Podcast! This is a soul-touching episode that I'm calling Ushering in the New Earth: An illuminating chat with New Earth Angel and Architect, and Priestess of Embodied Pleasure, Sara Yamtich In this episode, Sara shares her fascinating story of remembering her way back into priestesshood, including many of the breadcrumbs she now knows led her exactly to where she needs to be. She shares her story of being raised in Southern-Baptist town in Missouri and how, without having the words to describe what she was doing at the time, she not only questioned the patriarchy but began to honor the feminine, exploring the spiritual and subconscious realms at a young age. Sara also tells us about her sacred and ceremonial relationship with plant medicine, and shares one of the most beautiful and inspiring morning wake-your-feminine-divine-up rituals which I know I want to integrate into our life. Sara's become a dear Sister to me, and since this recording I've witnessed her leave Costa Rica to pursue the sacred arts of Priestesshood — first in Hawaii, and by the time this is released, she'll have gone back to Chavin de Juantar in Peru. Sara's also partnered up with two other magical souls, Clint Brown and Amanda Johnson, to create Awaken Village — a community of visionaries, entrepreneurs and change-makers — who are ready to come into community with fellow paradigm shifters. You can learn more about Awaken Village at join.awakenvillage.com. Sara's energy is contagious and you're going to love getting to know her in this episode. Enjoy! x Alex P.S. Welcome to Episode 5 of season 2, our 13th episode of the WitchHunt podcast! It's called: “ Get Quiet, Listen & Trust: the magical story of how one woman healed her way into her power, with Smadar Lorie, Medicine Woman and Stone Whisperer." This episode tells the inspiring story of a woman who found her magic after a seemingly minor car accident left her with an invisible, undiagnosed condition. We learn how she gave up on conventional medicine, and learned to ask questions, get quiet, listen and trust. And how this mantra — get quiet, listen and trust — has since become Smadar's modus operandi. It's a tale telling us how things — however mysterious and painful — do happen for us, for a reason. Smadar also tells us about how, as a child, she felt deep connections with stones, experiencing them as friends. She tells us of the magic of water and how she energetically infuses water to create healing elixirs. Smadar's story (and voice!) are healing. In addition to one of the most beautiful definitions highlighting the common thread magical women share, she also shares her wisdom around the witch wound in an uncut post script conversation that we recorded! Listen to the end in order not to miss this sweet uncut chat. I could listen to (and chat with) Smadar until the cows come home, and I know you'll delight in her soothing energy, too. Enjoy! Wow! We're really feeling into some of that Arian energies as we head into Season 2 of the WitchHunt podcast! Our first episode of the season is an interview with Dr. Angela Lauria, who's recently taken on the Goddess name Kali, stepping fully into her embodiment of the Goddess' energy, as she embraces a radical identity shift. Dr. Angela Lauria is an incredible woman and mother and entrepreneur, who I met in person at the StarBucks next to our kids' school in Washington D.C. many moons ago. She is founder of The Author Incubator™ and creator of the Difference Process™ for writing a book that matters. I've watched Angela evolve into a successful 7-figure, then 8-figure entrepreneur and activist over the years. I was most blown away, though, by her most recent pandemic-induced transformation, which led her to establish the Socially Responsible Coaching Alliance — for coaches, consultants, authors, and speakers who want to create a more equitable society by building sustainable businesses that promote environmental, economic, and social justice. One of the reasons I wanted Angela on the podcast was to share the Alliance's new mission. And when I reached out to her, I had no idea of the personal transformation and rebirth that came along with this endeavour. I was blown away! In this episode we talk about evolutionary shifts of masculine and feminine energies in our lives and businesses, and the synonymous call to shift away from polarized black and white thinking towards the messy and unknown navigation of the grey that lies in-between. We talk about mind and heart coherence and how we're witnessing souls (vs brains) taking stronger roles in decision-making. Angela shares so much wisdom. She tells us how she honors destruction as part of the creation process and, related, how she stopped feeling like her own name and sought astrological and numerological guidance in her rebirth and renaming experience — taking on Kali, Hindu Goddess of Destruction, as part of her official identity. She shares her embrace of imperfection, and her be-do-be-do dance. Or, in other words, the importance of BEING who we want to become and not only doing what we need to do as a means of manifesting magic and creating miracles, two concepts, which she differentiates in detail. Angela also shares her struggle with depression, anti-depression medication and how in the end one simple, free, non-medicated, Earth-born ritual that anyone can tune into every single day cured her depression in the end — you'll have to listen to the episode to learn her secret. I can't wait to share Angela's energy with you in this episode! Enjoy!!! xx Alex Connect with Alex.
