Es gibt in der Bibel keine Verheißung, die Gott dazu zwingen müsste, unsere Gebete zu erhören. Denn sein Wille ist es, der geschehen soll, das steht immer darüber. Und es kann verschiedenste Gründe geben, warum Gott unser Gebet nicht erhört, aber von ihm kommt das Gute.→ Vertrauen, ohne immer alles zu erkennen  → Gott handelt nach seiner Souveränität

Martens, Gebet (1) Stille als Ausgangspunkt für die Begegnung mit Gott.Bitte der Jünger : "Herr, lehre uns beten" (Lk 11,1)(1) Was uns abhält, Still zu werden: Ich finde keinen passenden Ort , ich habe zu viel zu tun, eine Idealvorstellung von Stille, gedankliche Ablenkung, Ich bin müde und ausgelaugt. Dennoch gilt für mich die Botschaft vom Evangelium: Auch wenn ich immer wieder versage und es nicht schaffe, mich in der Stille auf Gott auszurichten, so darf ich im Evangelium dennoch wissen, dass Gott mich liebt und annimmt → „Unruhig ist unser Herz, bis es Ruhe findet in dir.“ Augustinus, Bekenntnisse, I.1(2) Wie wir Stille einüben können- Einen ruhigen Ort aufsuchen. „Wenn du beten willst, geh in dein Zimmer, schließ die Tür, und dann bete zu deinem Vater, der ´auch im Verborgenen ´gegenwärtig ist.“ Matthäus 6,6 NGÜ. - Ablenkungen bestmöglich vermeiden- Sich bewusst ausrichten auf Gott: Wenn ich jetzt mit dem Gebet beginne, halte ich inne, um still zu sein und um meine zerstreuten Sinne wieder auf die Gegenwart Gottes auszurichten- Sich von Gedanken lösen, die plötzlich auftreten- In der Stille vor Gott kommen → unterschiedliche Zugänge!(3) Warum wir diese Stille brauchen. „... und dein Vater, der ins Verborgene sieht, wird dich belohnen.“ Matthäus 6,6- es geht um die Begegnung mit Gott- wir (an)erkennen, dass er Gott ist – und wir nicht. - „Seid stille und erkennet, dass ich Gott bin!“ Psalm 46,11. - „Denn so spricht der allmächtige HERR, der Heilige Israels: »Durch Umkehr und Ruhe könntet ihr gerettet werden. Jason Corbett was the widowed father of two young children when he began a relationship with his American au pair, Molly Martens. They moved from Ireland to North Carolina to start a new life. But it came to a violent end after Molly and her father killed Jason with a baseball bat and a brick, claiming self-defense. As authorities charged the pair with murder, the Corbett family said the attack was premeditated, accusing Molly of trying to obtain custody of Jason's kids. But when the Martens received a new trial, both sides said the true story of the marriage had yet to be revealed. The Netflix documentary film “A Deadly American Marriage” recounts the troubling 2015 case and its dueling narratives of who was the actual aggressor. It explores issues around domestic violence, unreliable testimony, and imperfect victims. Germany's Sven Schwarz is coming off a weekend that saw him break his first European Record, dropping a 7:38.1 in the 800 free. He also went a huge PB in the 1500, breaking 14:40 for the first time to touch in 14:36. There was heightened interest in the process due to the film Conclave, which swept the awards season, but also because Pope Francis was hospitalised at the time. Despite showing some signs of recovery – including being able to meet world leaders such as King Charles III and J.D. Vance – Pope Francis died on Easter Monday. Here we reissue the episode with Dr Martens, looking at what happens when a pope dies, with a new introduction from Damian. Writing the cover article for the Spectator this week, Damian writes: ‘the next Vicar of Christ will face challenges that dwarf those that confronted any incoming pope in living memory.
