This time on the Couch: Mike, James, and Shée believe the unbelievable when they read 1969's Strange Adventures no. 216! The great Neal Adams has passed away, but he's left behind a legacy of anguished facial contortions and stories about oddball supertypes that'll last forever. Case in point, the non-corporeal Deadman, who can jump into people's bodies without permission and make them do any weird thing he wants! It's kinda like in Wonder Woman 1984, but somehow far less problematic. Deadman's hot on the trail the of jerks what killed him, and his hunt will lead him to the mythical Nanda Parbat, an idyllic land of spiritual redemption and hallucinatory freak-out caves! Will Deadman make peace with the forces that have tormented him? If not I guess he could just jump into the body of someone who has.

Tread Perilously launches into a month of Patreon requests with Eureka and the episode called "What About Bob?" Sheriff Jack Carter is called to one of Global Dynamics' labs when a researcher goes missing. But he soon discovers the lab is a sealed biosphere and no one has been in or out in ten years! Both he and Allison Blake break the seal to enter the lab and learn the missing man has slept with every married woman in the experiment. Is mere infidelity the root cause of his disappearance or is some stranger science at work? The presence of a reptile man definitely suggests Jack has a bigger problem than low team morale. Justin and Erik try to parse the generic nature of Eureka and why Joel Gretsch didn't get the lead part. The gentle nature of the town gets on Justin's nerves immediately. Erik reveals he watches commercials from the 1980s as comfort food. Justin notes Ronald McDonaldland is overrun with crime. Both extol the virtues of character actor Joe Morton. They also recall San Diego Comic-Con off-site activations and the arduous path to Nanda Parbat. Erik declares Sam Witwer as the Darth Maul and Justin uncovers why reptile mutation is the go-to genre TV trope for shitty people.

In this season 8, episode 3 of Arrow it's wall to wall heart to hearts for everyone as Oliver travels to Nanda Parbat for info on the Monitor, Dig and Lyla cosplay as Mr. and Mrs. Smith/True Lies and future Team Arrow does something boring. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/one-more/message
Oliver must take a "Leap of Faith" when he travels to Nanda Parbat to find answers about the mysterious Monitor. Once he's there, he runs into his sister Thea who is happy to catch up and help her big brother. She's been busy helping to dismantle the League of Assassins, but has made a dangerous enemy of Athena. Luckily, the pair have Talia helping them to make their way to the information they need. Of course, they'll have to fight their way through. Back in Hong Kong, Lyla and Diggle discover that Sandra and Connor Hawke are being held by some very bad men. They won't have time to call for ARGUS backup, so the married couple work together to rescue them. And in the process become closer than ever. And in the future, Mia leads the team right into the Deathstroke gang's hideout to confront JJ once and for all. But in the process, they lose one of their friends. And that's when the universe decides to mess everything up. Jay and Josh go on a scavenger hunt on this week's Green Justice: An Arrow Podcast! Listen in and justice will be served...to your MP3 player!
Arrow continues its march to the series end with a trip around to some of the most important places with some of the most important people with Leap of Faith. This episode Oliver is back at Nanda Parbat and meets up with Thea and Talia to gain more information on The Monitor. In the future, Connor, Mia, Zoe & William try to take down and stop JJ and it ends up with fatal results. That is until they get transported to the past and end up in the bunker...with Oliver. This all leads to an important question: Was this all part of a plan of Mar Novu/The Monitor? He's a cosmic being and while Oliver's whole reason for going to Nanda Parbat was to dig up information on him, wouldn't Mar Novu know this? So far, every episode, he's being sending Oliver to different places to gather different things for him. In this episode, where he doesn't show up, it's easy to think this was a break from that. But a closer look we see that by the end of this episode, three things of significance happen: Thea basically wins the title of leader of what's remaining of the League of Assassins & then partners with Talia to form a "League of Heroes" Lyla and Diggle save a young Connor and Sandra Hawke, paving way for Connor eventually being raised by Diggle & Lyla Mia, Willam and Connor from the future are transported back in time (oddly enough the same way the Monitor movies through time and worlds) and end up in the bunker with their father(s) and Team Arrow In the end, this all seems like manipulations by Novu and that Oliver, while thinking he was doing something of his own free will, was actually unwittingly doing his bidding. And...it also continues the smoke screen of making his dealings seem shady when they're all part of a larger plan. Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month. Link:http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/supergirl-common-thread-flash-arrow-legends-tomorrow-crossover Supergirl: New Superman costume unveiled and compared (Date: 28 Jul 2016) *The design aesthetics are very different. Cavill's suit is more "alien skin". Hoechlin's suit is more of a suit * Hoechlin's costume opts for the red "utility belt" design, pulled from the New 52 Comic book reboot of Superman (more on that later). Cavill's costume famously skipped over having a pronounced belt or red underwear * The logos on the costume are very different: Cavill's Kryptonian "hope" insignia was made with the same "alien" aesthetic as the rest of his costume, while Hoechlin's insignia is much more of the classic Dan Jurgens design. * The cape clasps are very different: Cavill's, again, runs seamlessly into his shoulders, like a hair extension, while Hoechlin clearly has clasps to hold his cape in place. Cavill's cape is a CGI creation; Hoechlin's is clearly leather (or some sort of similar material). Yeah, that'd be really cool. He was a really nice guy and he loves the show. He's seen every episode of the show." Chronos disables the Waverider and flees back into the timestream, taking Snart with him. Rip is forced to reset Gideon to undo Chronos' sabotage, leaving the ship temporarily stranded in the timestream. Meanwhile, two years pass for Ray, Sara, and Kendra. Ray and Kendra build a life together, while Sara rejoins (from her perspective) the League of Assassins. Rip and the rest of the team arrive in 1960 and get Ray and Kendra. They travel to Nanda Parbat to rescue Sara, but she has fully committed to Ra's al Ghul's mission and turns the team over to him as trespassers to be executed. Rip invokes the trial-by-combat ritual to save the team, with Kendra and Sara named as the champions to fight. Elsewhere, Chronos reveals himself to Snart as Mick Rory, having been found by the Time Masters and trained to be their bounty hunter. Kendra is able to get through to Sara just as Chronos arrives. Ra's frees the team, who successfully stop Chronos and discover his real identity. Imprisoning him on the Waverider, the team decides to try to reform Mick.

As the show opens, we witness Cronos boarding the Waverider and find out the reason Ray, Kendra and Sara were left behind in 1958. For reasons yet to be determined, Cronos has sent the remainder of the team into a free fall through time and kidnapped Snart. When our stranded heroes are not rescued within 10 hours of the Waverider's mysterious disappearance, Kendra and Sara begin to lose hope and decide to leave Harmony Falls. After 10 months, Sara has lost all hope of being rescued and leaves Ray and Kendra to find a place where she belongs. Meanwhile, Rip manages to reboot Gideon and return to the closest point in time after Cronos sabotaged the navigation system: 1960. Just before Ray can propose to Kendra, the beacon he built to signal the Waverider comes online and hails the Waverider. Cronos and Snart are getting to know one another when a UFO sighting in 1960 announces the presence of the rest of the team. It seems everyone is now off to Nanda Parbat to "rescue" Sara while Cronos follows with the intention of taking down the rest of the team. In an unexpected turn of events, Sara takes the entire team prisoner to await their death for trespassing at the hands of R'as al Ghul, but Rip requests a trial by combat in an effort to save the team from their almost certain death. When R'as nominates Sara to take his place, Rip does the same, leaving Kendra to face Sara and appeal to whatever humanity she may have left. As Sara hesitates to kill Kendra, Cronos storms in, R'as releases the team, and an epic fight sequence ensues. Snart reappears in the nick of time to prevent the team from killing Cronos and reveals to the team he is really Mick Rory. The team returns to the Waverider with all team members accounted for and tries to decide Rory's fate. He remains alive and a prisoner, for now, and Rip announces there is one place in time where he knows they can find Vandal Savage for certain: 2147.
The Starling Tribune: An Unofficial Arrow TV Show Fan Podcast
Starling Tribune - Season 4 Edition – Episode 12: Unchained (A CW Network Arrow Television Show Fan Podcast) The Official Arrow Podcast of the Gonna Geek Network In another great week with an Arrow episode the Starling Tribune Reporters Chris, Neil and Stargate Pioneer break it all down for you. Nyssa and Katana were back! And Oliver Queen unites all women superheroes everywhere. The Reporters discuss just how much more Katana Arrow will get versus the DC movie universe. The reporters also discuss self-destiny as the theme for the episode. The ladies get a semi-shirtless Stephen Amell/Oliver Queen scene (but it's also a torture scene). Did the stone come from the tattoo? Reporter Stargate Pioneer thought the Nanda Parbat fight scene was a bit weak but the rest of the fight choreography was pretty good, including Curtis getting his shots in with Roy. While the reporters discuss how good it was to have Roy back they discuss if the character was supposed to die in the episode. Were Roy's contacts from Curtis' designs at Palmer Tech computers? Felicity/Overwatch is really wheeling that chair! And the Lair has ramps! The reporters enjoyed the superhero pose in front of the explosion. The reporters also rate the villain of the week (The Calculator). The Starling Tribune hashtag of the week is #someonegotshanked. The reporters wrap up the episode with a list of Easter Eggs, Arrow News, Feedback and comments from the chat. Thank you for downloading and listening! The Starling Tribune: An Unofficial Arrow TV Show Fan Podcast
Starling Tribune - Season 4 Edition – Episode 3: Restoration The Official Arrow Podcast of the Gonna Geek Network During another fun Blab.im live recording, Neil, Stargate Pioneer and Chris gather again to discuss the 3rd episode of the 4th Arrow season. It was great to see Nyssa back on the show and just how evil Malcom Merlyn can be. Why did that one Ghost let Diggle live at the battle of the Woodmill? SP has a pretty good theory about why that Neil added unto. Damian Darhk sure demonstrate how deadly simple parlor card tricks can be. SP teaches that worksite cranes sometimes do come equipped with remote control technologies thus validating Felicity's ability to remote control one from the Arrow Lair 3.0. There is a LOT of Lair 3.0 talk too. Felicity's mention of Mirikuru soldiers was a Great Pull. SP has issue with Felicity's machine gun spray and pray move. Felicty's character growth comes to a new level in the episode and everyone is impressed. Chris finds a reason for Oliver to have sleeves on his costume again. ( #bringbacksleeves ) We're all excited to see the T-Sphere's and of course Ray Palmer is trying to get Felicity's attention through her mobile phone. The show finally found a way to get rid of the Lazarus Pit after its heroic and historic reanimation of Sara. And the hosts have a message for Laurel: When MALCOLM tells you that doing something is a bad idea you've probably gone way too far. Someone needs to get Sara and Thea bad to 100%. Will it be Damian? Will it be Constantine? The relationship between Quentin Lance and Damian continues to confuse everyone. Everyone loves OTA – Original Team Arrow. Everyone rates the villain of the week, Double Down. SP was happy to see Ryan Robbins but knows Oliver is going to kills him eventually. The guys take bets on where Oliver is heading with the woman. We revisit the “Star City Beard Report” including his mutant power. Would you take a card for us? The fights continue to be amazing including the double fight this week and the sparing in Nanda Parbat and Thea's nightmare wake-up call fight. And finally, what happened with Oliver's decision to run for mayor? SP's theory about the Lair comes in handy here. If you're planning for a little "Restoration" there's no need to go to the hardware store. Just take your dead sister to Nanda Parbat to dip her in the Lazarus Pit. Laurel thinks this is a great plan, even though everyone else tells her not to do it. But when Sara returns, she seems a little different. Malcolm is hoping he can restore a bit of a relationship with Thea, but she's not too happy with those prospects. And Felicity is going to make Diggle and Oliver restore their friendship if it kills them. Which it might if Damien Darhk and Double Down have anything to say about it. Jay and Josh restore some security on the Arrow Lair on this week's Green Justice: An Arrow Podcast. Listen in and justice will be served...to your MP3 player!
Laurel and Thea arrive in Nanda Parbat and request Malcolm, the new Ra's al Ghul, to use the Lazarus Pit to bring Sara back to life. He initially refuses, but in order to appease Thea he eventually agrees. When Sara returns feral, Nyssa destroys the Lazarus Pit in retaliation. An A.R.G.U.S. operative delivers Diggle information on the woman, Mina Fayad, that hired Floyd Lawton to kill his brother. Fayad also works for H.I.V.E., and meets with Darhk about the growing issue with the vigilantes in Star City. She brings in a metahuman hitman named Jeremy Tell, who can turn his playing card tattoos into physical projectiles. After Tell's initial failure, Darhk kills Fayad for challenging him. Diggle and Oliver team up and take down Tell, but get no new information on H.I.V.E. In flashbacks, Oliver is forced to use torture techniques to interrogate the prisoners, who are being used to harvest heroin-cocaine hybrid plants, after a parcel of drugs goes missing.

If you're trying to wisely choose "The Candidate" that best suits Star City, you may not have a long list to pick from. Queen family friend, Jessica Danforth has decided to run for mayor, but it takes about fifteen seconds to see that may not be such a good decision. After Anarky, the incredibly creepy associate of Damien Darhk, kidnaps Danforth's daughter, Oliver leads the team to stop him. But he has to worry about Thea going 'pit-crazy' after finally showing symptoms of violence from taking a dip in the Lazarus Pit last year. Laurel thinks she has the solution to Thea's problem, but it involves returning to Nanda Parbat and taking a little surprise with her. Jay and Josh would throw their hat in the Mayoral ring, but they're afraid there might be bullet holes in them when they land on this week's Green Justice: An Arrow Podcast. Listen in and justice will be served...to your MP3 player!
The team take out another Ghost operation, but Diggle feels like it is not enough and Oliver continues to worry about Thea's excessive aggression when taking out criminals. Meanwhile, Queen family friend Jessica Danforth puts a bid in as the city's new mayor. During her announcement she is attacked by Lonnie Machin, an anarchist for hire working for Darhk. While trying to locate Machin, Thea's aggressive behavior seriously injures a witness, which forces Oliver to reveal to her the warning Malcolm Merlyn gave him before he put Thea in the Lazarus Pit. The team goes after Machin, successfully stopping him, but Thea again goes too far and sets Machin on fire in the process. Later, Machin escapes police custody in route to the hospital. Laurel decides to take Thea back to Nanda Parbat to find a way to stop the aggression, while Laurel wants to bring Sara's body to the pit. Meanwhile, Oliver decides to run for mayor after Jessica backs out of the race. In flashbacks, Oliver infiltrates a local military operation run by a man namedReiter. Oliver feigns ignorance of the military operation, but Reiter decides to recruit him for his cause instead of killing Oliver.

Hello Arrowheads! Welcome back to the Season Finale episode of both Arrow and Longbow Hunters as we close off our podcast (just for a little while) with a dynamic finish. First off, we apologize for the length of this episode being a 3 hour long episode. Sorry, but not sorry. On this episode, Woo and myself (Michael) talk about the Season One finale of Arrow entitled "Sacrifice", which was an incredible episode that really gave us a feel for what this show will be like in the future. We talk about Tommy/Oliver (not the Green/White/Red/Black Power Ranger, unfortunately), we discuss who the true Merlyn is, we talk Detective Lance, Fyers, Oliver's first step to becoming the Green Arrow and what's in store for the Lian Yu flashbacks, the repercussions of Moria's actions, Thea and Roy, Ra's al Ghul (yes, again), Laurel and Oliver, and where we think the series as a whole is going to go. We also discuss the digital comic entitled "From the Darkness" which chronicles Malcolm's origins (in Nanda Parbat) as the Dark Archer, and we briefly give our thoughts on the epic Supernatural finale which was just as good and aired right after Arrow's. All this and more on this special extended episode of Longbow Hunters: The Arrow Podcast!
