Interview with Frederick Bell, CEO, Elemental Altus Royalties CorpOur previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/elemental-altus-royalties-tsxvele-consolidating-cash-flowing-gold-royalty-portfolio-6093Recording date: 9th of April, 2025Elemental Altus Royalties Corp is positioning itself for a transformative 2025, projecting to nearly double its revenue amid favorable gold prices and strategic acquisitions. The company anticipates revenue to reach approximately $45 million in 2025, up from $21.6 million in 2024, representing a 100% increase.CEO Frederick Bell recently outlined the company's evolution from a private million-dollar entity to a fast-growing gold and copper royalty company with a market capitalization over $200 million. Two major factors driving this growth are the consolidation of the AlphaStream portfolio, expected to contribute an additional $7-8 million in revenue, and the startup of the Karlawinda royalty with Allied Gold."This year Q1 is going to be a record, Q2 is going to be a record by a large margin," Bell stated, noting that unlike previous years, much of the revenue growth is weighted toward the first half of 2025.The company has strengthened its board with three significant additions: Prashant Francis from AlphaStream (a 14% shareholder), Matthieu Bos of Falcon Energy Materials, and Sandeep Singh, former CEO of Osisko Gold Royalties. These appointments enhance the company's North American market presence and deepen its royalty sector expertise.Financially, Elemental Altus has paid down all $30 million of its previously drawn debt, leaving it with an undrawn credit facility and the strongest balance sheet in its history. With a fixed cost structure of approximately $10 million (including $6 million in G&A and $4-4.5 million in taxes), the growing revenue directly improves margins.Bell believes the company presents compelling value, trading at approximately 6.5 times projected 2025 revenue compared to junior peers at 10x, mid-tiers at 15x, and majors at 20x. The company offers diversified exposure to 10 producing assets and 60-70 exploration/development royalties covering 13,500+ square kilometers. The royalty model provides unique advantages in the current inflationary environment, as royalties come off top-line revenue. "For the royalty company, you have more downside protection... you don't have the inflation side of it and you have all the exposure to the upside," Bell explained. With $15-20 million in cash expected to build on the balance sheet, management is evaluating various capital allocation strategies, including potential acquisitions (ranging from $1 million to $50-60 million), share buybacks through its newly established normal course issuer bid, and potentially introducing a dividend.Learn more: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/elemental-altus-royaltiesSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com
Frederick Bell, CEO of Elemental Altus Royalties, discusses the company's financial guidance, including a 50% year-on-year increase in adjusted revenue for 2025. He highlights the company's strategic growth initiatives, including the ability to deploy capital for new acquisitions and the recent appointment of an experienced board member in the royalty space, Sandeep Singh. The discussion also touches on the future outlook for the company amidst fluctuating gold prices and the importance of improving liquidity for shareholders.
David Baker CFO of Elemental Altus Royalties (TSX.V:ELE) (OTCQX:ELEMF), joins me to review the key takeaways from the Q4 and full year 2024 financials, including record quarterly and annual revenues and cash flows, marking their seventh consecutive year of revenue growth. We also review the outlook for 2025, the addition of a new board member, and then dig into some updates for ongoing growth at key royalty partner operations. Preliminary Financial Highlights for Q4 and Full Year 2024 Results: Record preliminary adjusted 2024 revenue of US$21.6 million (+21% vs 2023) comprised of: US$16.3 million attributable royalty revenue; and US$5.3 million attributable revenue from the Caserones copper mine Record preliminary adjusted Q4 revenue of US$6.8 million (+21% vs Q4 2023) comprised of: US$5.5 million attributable royalty revenue; and US$1.3 million attributable revenue from the Caserones copper mine Dave breaks down the financial strength of the company, and the leverage of it's balance sheet to rising production and revenues in a higher metals price environment. We also review the growth via per-share metrics in 2024, and in particular look ahead to full-year 2025 gold equivalent ounce growth to a projected record 11,600 - 13,200 GEOs, augmented now from Allied Gold's Korali-Sud (formerly named Diba) asset, and the increased production from the assets acquired from AlphaStream Limited last year. He also highlighted with the roughly $6 million in cash on hand, the expected revenues over $30 million this year, a number of additional incoming one-off payments in H1, and the $50 million credit facility on hand, that the company is in a great position to keep reviewing acquisition transactions in the year to come. Next we touched upon the recently announced addition to the Board of Directors, bringing in Sandeep Singh, who has extensive experience in the mining and royalty sector. Sandeep is currently President and CEO of Western Copper and Gold. Prior to this, he was President and CEO of Osisko Gold Royalties, where he successfully led its strategic turnaround, after having spent 15 years as an investment banker specializing in the North American metals and mining sector. Wrapping up we cover some of the anticipated growth of the projects at their key cornerstone royalty assets: Caserones, Karlawinda, Korali-Sud, and Bonikro. Dave anticipates that all these assets are set to perform well and keep expanding and growing ounces and pounds in the year to come. The mission now for the team at Elemental Altus this year, now that the company has paid off all their remaining debt, is to keep looking for royalties on long-dated quality projects with quality partners where they can execute accretive transactions. If you have any follow up questions for Dave regarding Elemental Altus Royalties, then please email them to me at Shad@kereport.com. In full disclosure, Shad is a shareholder of Elemental Altus Royalties at the time of this recording. Click here to view recent news on the Elemental Altus Royalties website

In this episode, we return to the world of Digital Asynchronous Consulting Systems (DACS) and ponder how digital changes might be implemented in general practice during a time of chaos for the NHS, as it has its 75th Anniversary. We get a fake 5-year old's opinion on DACS systems, before hearing from Michael Wong and Sandeep Singh from Engage Health Systems, who have developed a system called Engage Consult, a digital asynchronous consultation system (DACS), which is already in use in England but is new to Scotland. We covered the following ground in the conversation: Why is Engage Consult a configurable digital asynchronous consultation system (DACS) that can be tailored to meet the specific needs of healthcare practices? How is collaboration with other services facilitated? How can implementation vary based on organizational structure, such as Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in England or a more practice-level focus in Scotland? What are the automation features for intelligent routing and assignment of patient requests? What is the integration with Vision and EMIS PC? How much will the system cost? How are implementation and support approached? Welcome to Grit & Growth's retrospective on a topic that's on every entrepreneur's mind: money! Hear from startup and early stage investors in Africa and South Asia about what investors are really looking for, how to vet potential backers, pitching advice, and more. These experts provide practical guidance and strategies on how to secure funding for your venture.Money, money, money. Entrepreneurs can't stop thinking about it. Which explains why fundraising is such a critical — and ongoing — aspect of their job description. We turned to five experts for their wisdom on all things related to funding:Andreata Muforo, partner at Nairobi-based venture capital firm TLCom CapitalIdo Sum, partner at TLCom CapitalZach George, managing partner at Launch Africa VenturesSandeep Singhal, managing director of Nexus Venture Partners in IndiaPranav Pai, founding partner of 3One4 Capital in IndiaTop Seven Masterclass Takeaways Fundraising should be active, not passive. Andreata Muforo says “It's something an entrepreneur does, not something that happens to them—which means you can get better with practice.” Cast a wide net when looking for investors. Zach George has a great strategy for getting valuable facetime with busy VCs: “ask for advice and you may get some money, ask for money and you may get some advice.”Early on, it's less about the numbers, more about the people. According to Sandeep Singh, Seed and Series A funders invest just as much in founders as they do in ideas. “There are many people that want to solve problems, but these are people who are saying, I want to solve a problem at scale. I want to solve a problem with a group of people. I want to have people around me that are equally passionate about building things.”Don't get too attached to your ideas. Be willing to listen and adapt. Singh looks for founders who are passionate and flexible “if you don't listen, then you are stubborn. And the risk of being stubborn is you can hit your head on the wall and never be able to get across it.”Scale can't be achieved alone. Pranav Pai advocates for the importance of team. “If the human capital side doesn't keep up, you're almost always going to fail to meet expectations.”Due diligence goes both ways. Ido Sum urges entrepreneurs to do their homework on potential investors. “If you know what we're, after what we're investing in, how could you be relevant to what we have already invested in or to spaces we have looked at, this is extremely beneficial for us to see that you spent this time.”Know how you plan to grow. Be specific. Zach George wants the founder to have the details. “If you give me the, let me talk to my CFO, you've lost me.
