Shahram Anver is the Co-Founder and CEO of Cleric, the autonomous AI SRE that investigates and root-causes production issues like an experienced teammate — often in under two minutes. Before Cleric, Shahram led MLOps, DevOps, and FinOps platform engineering at Gojek, Southeast Asia's super-app. In this conversation, he breaks down why production operations never kept pace with AI-accelerated development, and why the real unlock for an AI SRE isn't faster triage — it's an agent that *learns* and compounds operational memory across your whole org.In this episode:

As the FIFA World Cup gets underway, many people around the world are focused on football. But many Iranians are focused on something else entirely. Jian Ghomeshi welcomes former political prisoner and activist Ahmad Batebi and historian and political analyst Dr. Shahram Kholdi for a discussion about the World Cup, Team Melli, the Islamic Republic's attempts to shape narratives on the global stage, and how the Iranian diaspora can use this moment to keep attention focused on the struggle for freedom in Iran. The panel also examines rising tensions between Iran and the United States, new threats from President Donald Trump, and whether recent developments point to growing regime vulnerability or simply another turn in a familiar geopolitical cycle. But first, Jian opens the show with an essay entitled "WE KNOW THE GAME," reflecting on football, politics, propaganda, and why so many Iranians have become deeply skeptical of the competing agendas surrounding major international events. This episode is brought to you by Stellar Law and Quasar Homes.

Iran continues to hold fast to their nuclear aspirations while at the same time a U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is also in place. However, other factors play into this situation. That's why Crosstalk brought back Shahram Hadian to help listeners fully understand the dynamics surrounding events in and around Iran. Shahram is the founder of Truth in Love Ministry. He's a Christian pastor and a former Muslim. Shahram was born in Iran and came to America in 1978. Shahram began by explaining that the behavior of Iran should be of no surprise. For example, within Islam, adherents are allowed to invoke deception, especially under the concept of a cease-fire or treaty when they're at their weakest point. The Islamic term for this is "hudna" and they enter into this agreement knowing they are going to break it and are merely buying time. So Shahram believes that no one, including those in the Trump administration, should believe one word that comes out of the mouth of the leaders of Iran. That leadership is coming from Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corp. Shahram noted that the theocratic system in Iran has basically collapsed and since the IRGC is predominantly running the country, it's basically under a military coup at this time. Shahram summarized the situation this way: Islamic/Shia eschatology demands that Israel be wiped off the face of the earth. The Jews cannot be in that land. Iran believes it belongs to them and that their Islamic messiah will go back to Jerusalem. The only way to achieve that is to obtain a nuclear weapon and use it on Israel. So we need to pray for an end to the regime in Iran.

**Note: this episode was recorded in late 2025, prior to the extremely violent suppression of protests in Iran, and prior to the strikes by the US and Israel that began in late February 2026**“Being seen” has become a meme, pointing to the satisfaction felt at one's true self being understood by another. But can we think more critically? Self-described “accidental” Professor of anthropology and ex-taxi driver Shahram Khosravi joins Uncommon Sense to discuss visibility, power, knowledge and the violence of unseeing. Shahram describes how growing up in Iran's Bakhtiari culture shaped his own way of seeing  and taught him, early on, how some forms of knowing get legitimised while others are  dismissed - including in academia, where asking one question obscures the possibility of another. Here, he calls out the topsy turvy optics by which certain people - delivery workers, taxi drivers - go “actively unseen”, while others are loaded with value, visibility and esteem. Plus, he calls out those who ask “where are you from?” of the migrantised person. This “question”, he suggests, is often really a statement of non-recognition. An urgent conversation, with reflection on Édouard Glissant, George Orwell and Hannah Arendt. It is imperative, Shahram shows, that in what - via Arendt - he identifies as our present “dark times”, we challenge active “unseeing” and speak “clearly…with courage”.Guest: Shahram Khosravi; Hosts: Rosie Hancock, Alexis Hieu Truong; Executive Producer: Alice Bloch; Sound Engineer: David Crackles; Music: Joe Gardner; Artwork: Erin AnikerFind more about Uncommon SenseEpisode ResourcesBy Shahram KhosraviHow to Do Migration Studies in Dark Times"Bordered Imagination" in ‘Infrastructural Love: Caring for Our Architectural Support Systems' (2022) eds: S. Shahram Hadian is founder of Truth in Love Ministry. He is a Christian pastor and a former Muslim. Shahram was born in Iran and came to America in 1978 to escape an oppressive Islamic regime and committed his life to Jesus Christ in 1999. Iran is a nation that has a 3,200+ year Persian history that was taken over by leaders that, according to Shahram, were not even of Persian descent. He explains just how oppressive this Iranian regime has been to its own people. For example, amidst the recent unrest, snipers were shooting at these unarmed protesters. Women had body parts removed in order to hide sexual assaults. Other individuals are said to have been executed inside their hospital beds. Then there's the problems America has had with them, beginning with the Iran hostage crisis of 1979. You'll also hear comments from Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, where he mentions the delusions of the Iranian leadership which Shahram said refers to Iran's eschatology. Basically it's the idea that the more chaos and instability they can create, the quicker they will hasten the coming of their messiah. What are we to make of the mosques on U.S. soil that are mourning the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and encouraging others to go into martyrdom like him? Since Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world, why aren't we vetting these mosques to see if they're supported by money from Iran? Where's the political will to do this? Why do Islamic leaders teach martyrdom via jihad? Does it have to do with the fact that Islam is a works-based religion? These and other questions are answered by Shahram as he sheds light on this issue of Iran's oppression.

He has an extensive background not only as a pastor, but also is a former police officer, teacher, coach and servant leader in his community. Despite consistent attacks upon Jews and Christians around the world (infidels), Islam is claiming to be the victim and that the real problem is Islamophobia. Recent strong statements from individuals such as Congressman Randy Fine and Senator Tommy Tuberville have no doubt fueled the fire. The solution that's being called for is a unified definition of Islamophobia that includes insults to their prophet, their sacred symbols and those holding to a perspective that is in opposition to Islam. As Shahram noted in his comments dealing with the recent Bondi Beach shooting in Sydney, Australia, the reaction by the government shows they are more afraid of the jihadists within their borders than they are the Christians or Jews who aren't going around blowing things up. This is why when you hear terms like "Islamist," "Radical Islam" or "extremism," these are attempts at deflection in order to create the false narrative that there's a peaceful version of Islam, which 1,400 years of history has proven false. Shahram also indicated that it can be proven Islamic Sharia Law, as a legal system, violates the tenets of the First Amendment to the Bill of Rights. If this fact alone is ignored, it opens the door wide open to the advancement of Islam with no opposition.

Was Marx a Eurocentric thinker? Is his work only pertinent to Western societies? What were his views on colonized societies? What about the question of gender? How did Marx's views on non-Western societies change over his lifetime? In this episode, Shahram meets Prof Kevin Anderson, author of “The Late Marx's Revolutionary Roads”, a new book by Verso that analyzes Marx's late works (1869-1882), some of which have only recently been published. These notebooks provide a new way of thinking about the Marxian project.  Professor Anderson explains that in his late writings, Marx went beyond the boundaries of capital and class in Western European and North American contexts. Kevin Anderson's systematic analysis of Marx's Ethnological Notebooks and related texts on Russia, India, Ireland, Algeria, Latin America, and Ancient Rome provides evidence for a change of perspective away from Eurocentric worldviews or unilinear theories of development. As Anderson shows, the late Marx elaborated a truly global, multilinear theory of modern society and its revolutionary possibilities.   About The Dialectic at Work is a podcast hosted by Professor Shahram Azhar & Professor Richard Wolff. The show is dedicated to exploring Marxian theory. It utilizes the dialectical mode of reasoning, that is the method developed over the millennia by Plato and Aristotle, and continues to explore new dimensions of theory and praxis via a dialogue. The Marxist dialectic is a revolutionary dialectic that not only seeks to understand the world but rather to change it. In our discussions, the dialectic goes to work intending to solve the urgent life crises that we face as a global community. To this, Samuelson responded: “Class analysis.” In this episode, Shahram and Professor Wolff use the dialectic to explore how Marx's magnum opus, Das Kapital, is understood and its connection to class and class analysis. It begins by examining the overall project of Capital and discussing why beginners should read this essential text. Professor Wolff explains the importance of the three volumes in Marx's theoretical scheme, the main differences between the first two volumes, and how they individually contribute to our understanding of the ‘capitalist totality'. Shahram Hadian is a former Muslim from Iran who came to the states in 1978 and committed his life to Jesus Christ. He has served as a pastor, a police officer, and a former candidate for Governor in Washington State. Some people today are conflicted when it comes to the issue of what authority we must give our allegiance/submission to in various situations. Some believe we must obey the government no matter what, while others take exception to that position. So what does the Bible say? Romans 13:1-7 lays out what our responsibility is to be to the governing authorities. However, Shahram believes there are some who have misused this passage to justify false obedience to the government, especially if the government is in violation of God's Word. The foundation for his reasoning comes from his explanation of Romans 13:1. He noted that modern translations use the phrase, "governing authorities" while the King James Version says, "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers." He explained that the phrase, "higher powers" comes from an original Greek term (hyperecho) that refers to the highest authority. From this he contends that since government isn't the highest authority, that portion of the text must be referring to God.Shahram then moved on to explain what he referred to as the four rulers or magistrates and the program wrapped up with input from listeners nationwide.

Since Hamas launched its barbaric attack against Israel on October 7th, more and more uprisings are appearing around the world. Those involved are saying with great boldness that Israel is the problem, they should be destroyed, and as occupiers, they have no right to defend themselves.--Why are they saying such things-- The goal is a worldwide caliphate which includes the United States. It would be a world where only Islam is accepted. They seek global domination where every nation on earth is governed by Islamic law. This means that a caliphate in Islam is both religious and political. Shahram is a former Muslim from Iran who came to the states in 1978 and committed his life to Jesus Christ. Shahram started the Truth in Love Project and is the founding pastor of Truth in Love Ministry. Shahram exposes the true goal of Islam and the threat of Sharia in America. --Shahram believes we're not at the point where 9-11 has been forgotten. Instead, the history has been re-written. The victims have been made out to be the perpetrators and vice-versa. Today we live in a world where we're told it's Muslims who are being persecuted and must be protected. It's to the point where Islam, that attacked us, is controlling much of the narrative.

There's a common goal that is being pushed by the World Economic Forum, the United Nations, the World Health Organization and by globalist and religious leaders. The goal is to bring about a great reset via a total upheaval of governments, political systems, the world economy and even world religions. How should we respond-- Should we be passive or cry out against such change-- --Joining Crosstalk to answer such questions was Shahram Hadian. Shahram is a former Muslim from Iran who came to the states in 1978 and committed his life to Jesus Christ. He started the Truth in Love Project and is the founding pastor of Truth in Love Ministry. Shahram exposes the true goal of Islam and the threat of Sharia in America. He has served as a pastor, a police officer and a former candidate for governor in Washington State.--Shahram indicated that the Great Reset goes back to a globalist agenda. He pointed biblically to Revelation 13 where we know one day there's going to be a one-world government with an economy and false religious system attached to it. Another marker he noted was 1991 when Agenda 21 was written. In 2015 it was modified and called Agenda 2030. --On another level you have the involvement of organizations such as the Trilateral Commission. They have designated 2023 as year one of the New World Order. This is what is meant by the Great Reset. Use whatever means necessary. Collapse the economies of the world, their governments, destroy national sovereignty and ultimately destroy faith in God-Christianity.
