The Roundhill Ball META ETF is filled with some of the best stocks to buy now, even if the Metaverse takes many years to get here. It's filled with stocks like NVDA (Nvidia Stock), Meta Platforms (FB stock, soon to be MVRS), Unity Software (U stock), but also companies like Sea Limited (SE stock), Microsoft (MSFT), Square (SQ), and Paypal. Yet, this thematic fund is much different than ARKW, the ARK Invest fund themed around advanced internet applications and actively managed by Cathie Wood. "We think payment names could remain a preferred option for investors to hide out in as the Omicron variant could alter the pace of recovery in payment volumes," says CFRA's David Holt. Currently, CFRA has buy ratings on Global Payments (GPN), Mastercard (MA), and Visa (V). Other payment stocks include Square (SQ) and PayPal (PYPL).

Square (SQ) stock price is down over 25% year-to-date, while the PayPal (PYPL) stock price is is down almost 18% year-to-date. Finally, Affirm (AFRM) stock price is up over 1% year-to-date. Mizuho's Dan Dolev weighs in on these fintech stocks. Currently, he has a neutral rating on Toast (TOST) due to some concerns about the company. Finally he discusses how the shift to online spending has impacted traditional names like Vista (V) and Mastercard (MA).

1. Stocks are rebounding a little after the Black Friday Collapse. There was some serious damage done on Friday and the chart pattern this week will be critical for traders and investors.  2. Bitcoin is also catching a big bid today as well. The popular crypto was hammered last week especially on Friday. As long as it stays above the 52,000 area there is nothing wrong. That level is key to hold for the Bitcoin futures chart.3. Jack Dorsey is stepping down from Twitter (TWTR). He is still the CEO of Square (SQ). So maybe he is taking a break from the dual CEO role he has been playing.4. Gold is still struggling here. I think the $1765.00 level is the near term downside target. 

The Square (SQ) earnings report was released yesterday in the post-market. It indicated $0.37 in EPS and $3.84B in revenue, missing estimates. However, Mizuho's Dan Dolev says that they have a buy rating on the stock with a $380 price target as sentiment is likely to incrementally improve in 2022. He expects the following 2022 themes for Square (SQ): after-pay integration, international expansion, and cash app access for ages 13 to 17.

The growth potential for Netflix remains pretty high, close to 20% for this year and next year, says Gerald Sparrow of Sparrow Growth Fund (SGNFX). They have a buy rating on Netflix stock. Tom White explains a neutral to bullish Oct. 22 put spread trade for Netflix. Gerald is expecting a greater than 50% growth in revenue for Square (SQ) this quarter, driven by bitcoin.

Since making its all time high of $283.19 in February of this year, Square stock has been able to get back to highs and is now trading at $216.20 (-23.7%). Earlier this month, Square (#SQ) reported Q1 earnings and beat analyst expectations. The fintech company announced Non-GAAP EPS of $0.41 (beats by $0.25) and revenue of $5.06B (+266.7% Y/Y). Apple Should Launch Own Crypto Exchange, RBC Analyst Says Apple (AAPL), the maker of hot-selling items from iPhones to tablets, is the world's largest publicly traded company, with a market capitalization of $2.3 trillion. So it almost seems natural that after the electric vehicle maker Tesla announced Monday a $1.5 billion purchase of bitcoin, at least one Wall Street analyst is running the math on whether Apple might benefit from jumping into the cryptocurrency fray. A new report from the brokerage firm RBC Capital Markets posits that Apple, which already provides payments wallets for millions of consumers in an economy that's gone increasingly cashless since the coronavirus pandemic hit in early 2020, might be able to easily generate more than $40 billion from the cryptocurrency business. The company's move could also help to make the U.S. a technological leader in cryptocurrencies for the next decade or two. The RBC analyst, Mitch Steves, figures that the payments firm Square (SQ) generates about $1.6 billion per quarter in bitcoin-related revenue on an active install base estimated at around 30 million. It has been a crazy week in the markets, not just for equities and the broader financial markets, but for HIVE and crypto as well.
