Growing Pains is one of the juggernaut sitcoms of the 80s, making Jeremy Miller sitcom royalty. (I have the power to annoint). I grew up watching Jeremy but had never done a deep dive on his credits until now. He's worked with some heavy hitters...Richard Pryor, Robin Williams, Stefanie Powers, Barry Bostwick, and David Spade amongst others. I also identified 3 awesome connections to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, so I'm very proud of myself. And proud of Jeremy. And proud of you. Enjoy.
We followed Stefanie Powers to The Rockford Files "The Real Easy Red Dog" and are SO happy that we did! We've also struck gold with a perfect casting for a reboot of this series.

Her television career includes over 25 mini-series, 200 guest starring appearances, 35 made-for-TV movies, and THREE TV series. Her first show, “The Girl from UNCLE”, was the first hour-long American TV series starring a woman in the leading role. She then went on to star in “The Feather and Father Gang”. But she is perhaps best remembered as Jennifer Hart on the blockbuster long-running TV series “Hart to Hart”, for which she was nominated for TWO Emmy Awards and FIVE Golden Globe Awards. She's appeared on stage in London's West End and throughout the country, in many highly acclaimed productions including “How the Other Half Loves”, “View From the Bridge”, “Matador”, “On Golden Pond”, “The King and I”, and of course, “Love Letters”, co-starring Robert Wagner, in a hugely successful national tour, for which she won the Sarah Siddons Award. She's written award-winning screenplays, and she recorded a wonderful CD with the legendary jazz artist, Page Cavanaugh, called “On the Same Page”. And if THAT weren't enough, she's written 3 best-selling books, “Stefanie Powers: Superlife”, “Powers Pilates: Stefanie Powers' Guide to Longevity and Well-Being Through Pilates”, and her poignant and compelling memoir, “One From the Hart”. She's a passionate lover of travel, and speaks 7 languages, including KISWAHILI and Mandarin. But her greatest passion is her lifelong devotion to animal preservation and protection. She's the founder and president of the William Holden Wildlife Foundation, continuing the groundbreaking species conservation work and education programs in Kenya, honouring the legacy of her beloved longtime partner, mentor and best friend, William Holden. She's intensely involved, at a grassroots level, with a number of zoos and wildlife organizations, whose mission is to protect and preserve endangered species, who are in great peril of extinction. And she's received dozens of international honours for her tireless commitment to this vitally important cause. But, then it turns out the other lady was murdered and now the two P.I.s have to work together to clear their names. (special guest star Stefanie Powers. Enjoy two free detective episodes of Mr. & Mrs. North w/ Richard Denning and Barbara Britton A) 6/9/53 Wheel of Chance B) 3/30/54 Touch of Death Created by Frances and Richard Lockridge, Mr. & Mrs. North were fictional amateur detectives appearing in dozens of novels (1936-63), a Broadway play, a motion picture and several radio and television series. The Norths were not professional detectives, but simply a well-to-do New York couple who stumbled across a murder or two every week (for 12 years) and felt compelled to solve the crimes. A 1942 MGM movie starred William Post, Jr. and George Burns' wife, Gracie Allen. That same year, the adventures of Mr. and Mrs. North debuted on radio and was soon generating top ratings with a weekly listenership of 20-million fans. By 1946, the radio series received the Edgar Award of excellence from the Mystery Writers of America (in a tie with CBS's The Adventures of Ellery Queen). Joseph Curtin and Alice Frost originally voiced the roles of Jerry and Pam North on radio. Later, Richard Denning and Barbara Britton were cast, staying on for its successful transition to TV. The TV series was seen on CBS in 1952 and 1953 and on NBC in 1954. The characters were later resurrected, in spirit, with ABC's Hart to Hart the 1979 through 1984 crime drama about a wealthy husband (Robert Wagner) and wife (Stefanie Powers).
While she may be best known for the popular TV series Hart to Hart, Stefanie Powers has made over 30 films as well as 25 mini-series and numerous plays. Alongside her acting career, she is a passionate conservationist having established the William Holden Wildlife Foundation to further her long time partner's work in East Africa. In this penultimate episode of the first series of The Third Act she talks with Catherine Fairweather about her career, her charity work and the challenges of show business.
Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth interview with Legendary Actor, Producer and Author, Robert Wagner About Harvey's guest: Robert Wagner is one of the most popular and successful stars in the entertainment industry, boasting three hit television series and an impressive list of both feature and television films. He has acted in over 100 films and made hundreds of television appearances in his 70+ year career. As a young man under contract to 20th Century Fox, Robert Wagner was cast by Darryl F. Zanuck in With a Song in My Heart. Although the part lasted a scant minute, his performance as a crippled soldier responding to the song of Susan Hayward's Jane Froman brought immediate public reaction to the studio. Spencer Tracy saw his performance in Beneath the Twelve Mile Reef and requested Wagner for the role of his son in Broken Lance. Tracy was so impressed with Wagner, he cast him again as his brother in The Mountain. A small sample of Wagner's numerous film credits includes Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, The Pink Panther, The Curse of the Pink Panther, Midway, The Towering Inferno, Banning, Harper, Prince Valiant, The True Story of Jesse James, and All the Fine Young Cannibals. He starred with Joanne Woodward in her film debut, A Kiss Before Dying. Antonio Banderas directed Wagner in Crazy in Alabama. In the 1990s, he was introduced to a new legion of fans with the role of Number Two, the villainous henchman to Dr. Evil, the archenemy of Mike Myers' title character in the Austin Powers trilogy. On television, Wagner starred in three long-running series. He was nominated for an Emmy for his role as suave cat-burglar Alexander Mundy in It Takes a Thief with Malachi Throne and Fred Astaire. He portrayed con man-turned-detective Pete Ryan in Switch with Eddie Albert and Sharon Gless. And Wagner became a fan favorite as the debonair and charming millionaire/amateur detective Jonathan Hart in Hart to Hart with Stefanie Powers. Other illustrious television performances include starring with Jaclyn Smith in the top-rated miniseries, Windmills of the Gods — based on Sidney Sheldon's best-selling novel; Angie Dickinson in the miniseries Pearl; Audrey Hepburn in Love Among Thieves; Lesley Anne Down in Indiscreet; and Elizabeth Taylor in There Must Be a Pony, which he also executive-produced. He appeared alongside such notable names as Philip Casnoff, Kyle Chandler, Cathy Lee Crosby, Leslie-Ann Down, and Billy Dee Williams in North and South: Book 3, Heaven and Hell. Sir Laurence Olivier chose Wagner to star with him in the television adaptation of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Wagner's wife, the late Natalie Wood, co-starred with them. In addition to his film and television ventures, Robert toured the world performing in A.R. Gurney's Love Letters with Stefanie Powers. They were the first to launch the tour internationally. After his tour with Powers ended, Wagner enjoyed the play so much, he continued performing it at charity events and around the world with his wife, actress Jill St. John. Away from the acting world, Robert Wagner has long been a fan of golf and boasted a five handicap. He once beat professional golfer Sam Snead in a head-to-head competition. Footage of this win is posted in the Video section of this page under Additional Videos. There were two choices for what to do for episode 99 - hockey or female spies, so we chose the latter. To talk about Agent 99, Mrs. Peel, April Danger and lots others, we're happy to welcome back to the pod John Champion (@DVDGeeks) from the Mission Log Podcast amongst other shows. We start, of course, with Agent 99 herself, Barbara Feldon and Get Smart, including the start of the show, her role as straight woman/love interest, the evolution of the show , the 90s Fox sequel/revival and the Numb Bomb movie which noticably did not have Feldon in the cast. Feldon's appearonce on the Man from UNCLE led us into discussing The Girl From UNCLE, the one-season spiin-off starring Stefanie Powers. This segues nicely into a chat about the number one female TV spy, Mrs. Peel, played by Diana Rigg on the Avengers. We talk about what made her so special and tallk about some memorable episodes. Naturally, this brings us to James Bond, where we start with the whole notion of “the Bond Girl,” and how the term has outlived its usefulness in 2021. We discuss our favorite from the movies, whether they were leading ladies or dastardly femme fatales. And that includes some of the lesser-known characters over the years, not just the obvious ones. (editor's note: Shamefully, we forgot to discuss Barbara Bain and Mission: Impossible. My apologies) We end the show with some brief Star Trek talk. Mission Log recently reviews the Deep Space Nine episode “Far Beyond the Stars,” so we discuss how that episode still holds up 30 years later. There's also some brief chat about season two of Star Trek Picard and the new Roddenberry podcast “Sci Fi 5.:” As we mentioned on the show, episode 100 is next and hopefully we will be having someone as a very special, after literally years of them asking to do the show. Tune in next time to see if they are here.

Download Episode! A Stolen Paradise, The True Story About the Making of the Night of the Iguana. An Interview with Author Howard Johns Hello fellow travelers, welcome this episode of the Puerto Vallarta Travel show. I am your host Barry Kessler and I am just so happy to be to [caption id="attachment_754" align="alignright" width="199"] A Stolen Paradise by Howard Johns[/caption] introducing you to my favorite vacation destination, and maybe even yours, Puerto Vallarta Mexico. That music you were just listing to is performed by Alberto Perez, the owner of the La Palapa group of restaurants, La Palapa and The Eldorado Restaurant on the Southside of town, right down on the beach in Puerto Vallarta and if you play your cards right you can catch Alberto Perez singing and playing the Samba de Puerto Vallarta and more lovely tunes while enjoying dinner under the stars, toes in the sand at the waters edge. So romantic, so Puerto Vallarta. [caption id="attachment_399" align="alignright" width="300"] ATM Machines in Lobby of the Puerto Vallarta Airport[/caption] Now before we get into this interview, I want to do a little housekeeping. First, as of a couple of days ago, and this podcast was recorded and produced February 26, 2017, here at the Puerto Vallarta airport, the bank ATM machines have been removed from the lobby where you buy your taxi cab transfers. Now people here on the ground are of the opinion that this is a temporary situation, at least until they are done with the remodel of the airport or sooner. I will keep you advised as to when they re-appear. Until then, bring some pesos from home, either from your bank or a money exchange near you. Or just buy your taxi voucher using your very own funny money and get to an Bank attached and affiliated ATM when you get a chance later. For more ideas on exchanging money just go to episode 2 of the Puerto Vallarta Travel Show. Next, I have added a new page to the website and I’m very excited about this, it has all of the best Webcams in Puerto Vallarta. Some of these cameras are great for watching a sunset right from your Barcalounger at home so go to www.puertovallartatravelshow.com and click the webcam tab and catch your Puerto Vallarta sunset today and if you have a favorite webcam that I have missed, just send me a link and I will add it for you. The more the merrier right? Click Here to Learn To Count to 100 in Spanish Next, in the last episode I talked a little about learning the language about learning Spanish and how to count to one hundred in Spanish. I forgot to mention that if you go to my website and check the shownotes to the last episode, I have a link to a site where you will learn to count to 100 in Spanish. It’s easy it’s free and you will find it by going to www.Puertovallartatravelshow.com , the episode with JR about the customs and the people of Puerto Vallarta. Lastly, I have the new prices for the Federal Airport taxis leaving the airport to your hotel or resort or condo and I will give you that info after [caption id="attachment_400" align="alignright" width="300"] Taxi Pay Window in the Puerto Vallarta Airport[/caption] my interview with Author Howard Johns, which I’ going to get right into now. [caption id="attachment_755" align="alignleft" width="251"] Howard Johns, Author[/caption] Most people know that Puerto Vallarta was put on the map by those folks in Hollywood. The filming of the Night of the Iguana turned this once tiny little fishing village into a jet-setter destination. And since this is a podcast about Puerto Vallarta, I would be remiss If I were to ignore this large piece of the historic puzzle of this place Puerto Vallarta. ROBERT WAGNER TALKS ABOUT HIS BOOK YOU MUST REMEMBER THISRobert Wagner is one of the most popular and successful stars in the entertainment industry, boasting three hit series and an impressive list of both feature and television films. As a young man under contract to 20th Century Fox, Wagner was cast by Darryl F. Zanuck in "With a Song in My Heart." Although the part lasted a scant minute, his performance as a crippled soldier responding to the song of Susan Hayward brought immediate public reaction to the studio. Spencer Tracy saw him in "Beneath the Twelve Mile Reef" and requested Wagner for the role of his son in "Broken Lance." Tracy was so impressed with Wagner, he cast him as his brother again in "The Mountain." A small sample of his numerous film credits includes "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story," "The Pink Panther," "The Curse of the Pink Panther," "Midway," "The Towering Inferno," "Banning," "Harper," "Prince Valiant," "The True Story of Jesse James," and "All the Fine Young Cannibals." He recently re-created his role of "Number Two," the villainous henchman to Dr. Evil, the archenemy of Mike Myers' title character in "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me." Antonio Banderas also directed Wagner in "Crazy in Alabama." In 1998, the actor was in "Wild Things," starring Matt Dillon and Kevin Bacon. On television, Wagner has starred on three long-running series, "It Takes a Thief," with Fred Astaire, "Switch," with Eddie Albert and Sharon Gless and "Hart to Hart," with Stefanie Powers. You Must Remember This is Wagner's ode to a bygone age, to its incomparable style and how it was displayed, and to its legendary stars.Wagner revisits the houses, restaurants, and other haunts of Hollywood's elite, offering an intimate view of their lives on and off screen. He fondly recounts mythic figures simply entertaining at home among friends, away from the publicity machine and public eye that morphed into today's paparazzi culture. Wagner also discusses the business of Hollywood and its evolution from an industry once dominated by moguls to one run by agents, and examines the career arcs of his peers, carefully considering why some survived and others faded.Engaging and entertaining, You Must Remember This is a window into the splendors of an erstwhile era and an opportunity for readers to live vicariously through one its most beloved leading men.WWW.ROBERT-WAGNER.COMBILL MEDLEY – THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS - THE TIME OF MY LIFE Bill Medley's indelible baritone adorns some of the biggest hits of the twentieth century—"You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'," "(You're My) Soul and Inspiration," "Rock and Roll Heaven"—and is prominent on the soundtrack of an entire generation. He and his musical partner, the late inimitable Bobby Hatfield, formed the Righteous Brothers in 1963 and forever changed the sound of popular music. The term "blue-eyed soul" was born. After the Phil Spector-produced "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" hit #1 in 1964 and Bobby Hatfield's sweeping solo vocal turn on "Unchained Melody" enchanted millions, the Righteous Brothers found themselves in the thick of the musical and cultural changes sweeping the nation. They toured with the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, became friends with Elvis Presley and the Beach Boys, and brought rhythm and blues to the largest cross-over audience it had reached to date. The Time of My Life is an affecting and vivid memoir of those times and beyond, an unvarnished look at Bill Medley's personal triumphs and tragedies through the filter of five decades of musical, television, motion picture, and live-performance success. Medley opens his head and his heart, sharing his thoughts and feelings about the great African-American music that inspired him, his loving yet tumultuous and complicated relationship with Bobby Hatfield, the murder of his first wife Karen and his struggle to raise their son alone, his close friendship with Elvis and its sad ending, his deep depression over losing his voice (and how he got it back), his smash duet with Jennifer Warnes on "(I've Had) the Time of My Life" for the Dirty Dancingsoundtrack, and how he learned to settle down and become a family man and enjoy a nearly thirty-year (and counting) marriage. But Medley's story isn't just about the #1 hits and the awards. It's the story of an immensely talented young guy who lived the rock star life and reached the pinnacle of fame, success, and excess, and how he was eventually able to renew his commitment to both his faith and his family.WWW.BILLMEDLEY.COM

Mr. and Mrs. North received the first Best Radio Drama Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America (in a tie with CBS's Ellery Queen). Also in 1946, producer-director Fred Coe brought the Owen Davis play to television (on New York City's WNBT) with John McQuade and Maxine Stewart in the leads and Don Haggerty, Joan Marlowe and Millard Mitchell repeating their Broadway roles. Barbara Britton and Richard Denning starred in the TV adaptation seen on CBS from 1952 to 1953 and on NBC in 1954. The series was unusual in that it was Mrs North who solved the cases while Mr North was just background most times. Guest appearances on this series included Raymond Burr, Hans Conried, Mara Corday, Carolyn Jones, Katy Jurado, Jimmy Lydon, Julia Meade, William Schallert and Gloria Talbott. Sixteen episodes of the TV series have been released in the "Best of TV Detectives" box set. Mr. and Mrs. North were resurrected in spirit with ABC's Hart to Hart, the 1979-84 crime drama about a wealthy husband (Robert Wagner) and wife (Stefanie Powers) who spent as much time solving murders as romancing each other and pursuing careers as an industrialist and a journalist, played the crime theme with wry wit reminiscent of the Norths in their heyday.
