This hour covers some of the most pressing issues of the day, starting with the devastating Table Rock fire, which has already scorched over 18,000 acres, leaving a community in turmoil and in need of supplies for first responders. We then turn to a key legal battle where President Trump seeks Supreme Court intervention in his administration's efforts to deport dangerous illegal immigrants, challenging judicial overreach. Next, we dive into the escalating global protests against Tesla, driven by a fierce backlash against Elon Musk and his ties to Trump, with violent acts of vandalism on the rise. Finally, we explore the shadowy role of the radical left-wing group Indivisible in stoking unrest and discuss the economic hurdles facing the Trump administration as inflation creeps up despite some positive trends. It's a whirlwind of fire, politics, and turmoil, all making waves in today's polarized climate. | https://www.audacy.com/989word | The Charlie James Show | Listen on Spotify : https://spoti.fi/3MXOvGP | Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-charlie-james-show-podcast/id1547262821 | Join our Live Stream Weekdays - 3pm to 7pm | Follow us on Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/989word, Rumble: https://rumble.com/c/c-2031096, X: https://twitter.com/989word, Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/989word/ | Red Meat, Greenville." 03/28/25
From raging wildfires and infrastructure failures to leftist attacks on free enterprise, the cracks in America's foundation are showing. The Table Rock fire continues to spread as frustrated taxpayers question where their money is going while roads crumble and disaster relief drags. Meanwhile, Tesla faces violent protests from the radical left, and insurance companies exploit policyholders with outrageous fees and loopholes. President Trump fights back against judicial overreach in his deportation case, while DEI-driven policies put lives at risk in critical industries. With corruption, incompetence, and political battles raging on all fronts, one thing is clear—America is at a breaking point.

The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians purchased more than 2,000 acres of private land at the iconic Table Rocks, which were previously part of native ancestral lands.
I met Katti Jackson at The Naturalist, where she took 2nd female overall. Since then, I have seen her dominate in the ultras she has faced since that time. Katti didn't even start running ultras until 2022 with Table Rock, and in 2023 she won the Heartbreaker 55k, then won the Heartbreaker 50 miler the next year. So, like anyone else would do (ha!), she wanted to try her hand at the 100 mile distance. She chose Grindstone 100 for her first attempt, and not only did she finish, but she finished first overall! Now that is a good result for your first 100! Of course, in our conversation, she walks me through the details of her experience at Grindstone which I completely soaked up. We also spoke of her past...how she started running, some of the struggles she faced along the way, discovering the trails, and ultimately why she tried the ultra distance. It was so awesome getting know her and hearing her story. I am excited to see how far she can fly, especially at UTMB next year. I am a big fan, Katti. Thank you for coming on the podcast and sharing your heart and your love for running (and running so fast). The Table Rock Ultras are quickly approaching, so I sat down with race director, Brandon Thrower, to find out all the details. The Table Rock 50k & 30k will take place on September 21st and here is a little teaser from the website... Roots and rocks; hills and creeks; views and memories... We offer them all and more at Table Rock Ultras. Your goal is the finish line, but lying between you and that goal is a lot of climbing, creek crossing, rock-hopping, gel-taking, and limit-pushing. The panoramic view from the summit of Table Rock is a perfect reward for all your hard work, until you realize you aren't done... Hear why this race means to much to Brandon, and listen as he describes every detail of the trails your feet will land on. If you are running this race or simply a spectator, this episode is for you. Also, they are still looking for volunteers, so if you are free, this is a great way to experience this ultra-world that we love. I look forward to hearing about everyone's experience out on the course! Good luck out there! It's a landmark you can see from most of the city: the Table Rock cross. But do you know the history behind it? Turns out the religious symbol was put up at the same time that the Boise Police Department was targeting gay men — just for being gay. Hey Boise newsletter editor Blake Hunter is here to take us back to the 1950s for a history lesson that we've kind of forgotten — but wasn't so long ago. Today we are traveling to the White Mountains of New Hampshire to chat with another one of my new favorite people, Alexandra Roberts of Alexandra Roberts Photography. If you love the outdoors and participate in basically any visual digital media, the Big Brother algorithms have no doubt fed you tons of gorgeous images of well-dressed couples posed in dramatic backdrops - in the middle of giant boulder fields, by a waterfall, on a cliff overlooking peak foliage, or in some kind of magical hobbit-land of moss and lichen. You might stop to wonder how the heck they got to that place without getting all sweaty and gross. Or maybe your mind goes immediately to the giant packing list that couple must've had. But I'm guessing in all cases, if you think at all about who is behind the camera, you're assuming she or he is like a Jimmy-Chin type - a hardcore outdoorsperson who hikes and climbs 24/7, is wearing Patagonia head-to-toe, and has an ice ax next to the zoom lens on their utility belt, ready to self arrest and save everyone's day.And if that's where your mind went, you are going to love this conversation as much as I did.Alexandra's photos started popping up all over my feed many moons ago, and I loved to see all the beautiful and rugged places she went with her couples. So imagine my surprise when I find out that Alex was mostly a prosecco-sipping, urban patio sitter until a few years ago.If elopement or marriage is in your future, or if just feeling like a glamorous, paparazzi-stalked superstar in the White Mountains is your jam, you absolutely must check out Alex's website, @alexandraroberts on Instagram , or her Facebook page. And please be the person who gets photographed at Table Rock, I am very impatiently waiting for someone to take her up on that!TONS of links in this one, here's a few but come on over to the Guides Gone Wild website for the full list!:Mt.
