Dr. Tim Fox serves as the District Superintendent for the South Coastal District of the Wesleyan Church. Borne out of a lifelong friendship with Jacob Morris, Brodrick Thomas eventually found himself on the campus Trevecca Nazarene University in 2011. Twelve years later, Thomas has earned MBA, Masters in Organizational Leadership, and more recently a Doctoral degree in Leadership and Professional Practice from TNU. Along the way he also met and married Lauren Thomas and life is sweet with their two children and a new role at Franklin Road Academy in Nashville. And it all started with a friendship! TEMA 219 DA TNU: O tempo rural antes dos 12 anos de idade A TNU, na sessão realizada em 23/06/2022, fixou a seguinte tese: “É possível o cômputo do tempo de serviço rural exercido por pessoa com idade inferior a 12 (doze) anos na época da prestação do labor campesino” (PEDILEF n. 0007460-42.2011.4.03.6302/SP / PEDILEF 5008955-78.2018.4.04.7202/SC). A possibilidade de reconhecer tempo rural antes dos 12 anos de idade começou com o julgamento da Ação Civil Pública n. 5017267-34.2013.4.04.7100 pelo TRF4. O Superior Tribunal de Justiça proferiu decisão no mesmo sentido (Agravo em Recurso Especial n. 956.558 – SP). A Súmula n. 5 da TNU desde 2003 já autorizava o reconhecimento do trabalho rural do menor entre 12 e 14 anos. E para afastar esta limitação (entre 12 e 14 anos), e seguir os entendimentos firmados no TRF4 e no STJ, a TNU firmou tese (no Tema 219) autorizando o reconhecimento do trabalho do menor antes dos 12 anos de idade. É importante mencionar que é preciso produzir a prova do trabalho rural do menor de 12 anos da mesma forma que se comprova o trabalho rural a partir dos 12 anos de idade: provas materiais (ou início de prova material) devidamente ratificadas por idônea prova testemunhal. Os magistrados do Tribunal Regional Federal da 2ª Região (TRF2) Daniela Madeira e Rodolfo Hartmann explicam as competências dos Juizados Especiais Federais (JEFs) e os principais aspectos da Lei 10.259/2001. Segundo o juiz Rodolfo Hartmann, a legislação afim não trata, de maneira específica, quem são os legitimados ativos. “Nós temos, em realidade, a previsão muito clara quanto ao polo passivo no artigo 6, II, que são: União, autarquias, fundações e empresas públicas federais. O primeiro inciso até fala de uma maneira muito genérica da possibilidade de a demanda no juizado especial federal ser proposta por pessoas físicas, microempresas e empresas de pequeno porte assim definidas em lei. Isso acaba sendo feita uma interpretação em cotejo com a Lei 9.099/95. No artigo 8, tem outros ali descritos que podem ser legitimados ativos”, pontuou. Divergências entre turmas Recursais Outra questão explorada ao longo da entrevista é o papel e a importância da Turma Nacional de Uniformização (TNU), como forma de assegurar o respeito aos entendimentos consolidados do STJ, no âmbito das Turmas Recursais. “A Turma Nacional de Uniformização foi criada não apenas para uniformizar o entendimento divergente das turmas recursais de diferentes regiões, mas também para garantir esse cumprimento das decisões do Superior Tribunal de Justiça. Então, a gente tem na Lei 10.259, artigo 14, parágrafo 2º, que confere à TNU a função de dirimir essas divergências de interpretação de jurisprudência no âmbito do sistema de recursos dos juizados especiais federais e também para garantir a observância dominante do STJ”, explicou a juíza Daniela Madeira. El pasado jueves 25 de marzo falleció el periodista deportivo Alberto Sonsol a los 63 años de edad. Una noticia que sacudió fuerte a los trabajadores de la comunicación como en la sociedad del país completo, Sonsol estaba viviendo su mejor momento profesional ya que conducía o participaba de numerosos ciclos radiales y televisivos: Bien igual, Tuya y mía, Básquet de primera en radio El Espectador, Subrayado, Polémica en el bar, La peluquería de Don Mateo y Punto Penal en canal 10 a lo que le sumaba los relatos más destacados de fútbol y básquetbol en la pantalla de VTV y “hijo mayor” La hora de los deportes en TNU. Hacemos lo que podemos realizó un homenaje abriendo el programa con una edición de momentos divertidos de Sonsol en su carrera donde se destaca parte de un relato en la 970 AM Radio Universal. En el año 2017 Richard Galeano y Juan Cor recibieron en el ciclo al relator y de una extensa charla donde dejó muchas cosas interesantes, también recordó anécdotas muy divertidas que hasta ese momentos pocos sabían. La flamante conductora del informativo de TNU habló sin tapujos de varios temas; comienzos en el diario La República, trabajos fuera de los medios de comunicación, el rol que ocupan las redes sociales en la actualidad y su pasión por el Club Atlético Peñarol e idolatría a Antonio Pacheco donde analizó la salida de Diego Forlán y la llegada de Mario Saralegui. Por otra parte al ser consultada por su mirada hacia los periodistas militantes fue contundente y expresó: “No hay periodismo militante eso es una mentira que instaló Leonardo Haberkorn.” Mayo rememoró un cruce que tuvo hace unos años con el reconocido periodista y escritor donde contó que todo se provocó en la presentación del libro de Héctor Amodio Pérez, explicó con detalles lo sucedido y aclaró que Haberkorn luego de un período le pidió disculpas. Además, relató cómo vivió lo acontecido en los últimos días cuando se enteró que el director de canal 5 Gerardo Sotelo decidió no renovar 43 contratos a trabajadores tanto de TNU cómo de las radios públicas. Georgina lo atribuyó a la Confederación de Funcionarios del Estado (COFE) y a la Asociación de la Prensa Uruguaya (APU), para la comunicadora los gremios influyeron mucho en todo lo acontecido y explicó sus motivos. En la entrevista se definió como comunicador y habló de su debut en el ciclo Buscadores emitido en la pantalla de VTV y retransmitido por TNU, repasó sus comienzos como comentarista deportivo en dupla con Víctor Hugo Morales y agregó que cambió radicalmente su labor en los medios a raíz de un accidente de tránsito en el cuál estuvo en coma durante un mes y medio en el año 1993. Por otra parte, Paullier hizo mención a que fue secretario de deportes en el período 1990 – 1995 cuando el presidente de la República era Luis Lacalle Herrera. Ante la consulta por si milita por el Partido Nacional respondió: “No milito pero adhiero al Partido Nacional” se definió como “Wilsonista” y relató cómo fue que se dio su ideología. Además apuntó hacia algunos de sus colegas y los alentó a que “digan la camiseta que tienen puesta” porque “muchos comunicadores pasan como independientes y no lo son”.
