“It's a great thing to give people exposure who are doing amazing thing but aren't necessarily globally famous”. Today Rob speaks to both client and friend, Michael Kalisperas. Michael has an incredibly inspiring, powerful and motivating journey which he uses as a driving force in everything he does including his businesses. He shares his story, strength and success in this episode. KEY TAKEAWAYS A serial entrepreneur, Michael's career background was originally in marketing and graphics, he had a passion for many different elements of this and did an electronic and multimedia programme and was later headhunted by Sky and the BBC. He left the BBC in his mid-20s and this is when he started his first business. Michael has written a screenplay, been on stages himself as a speaker, ran events, is an affiliate marketer and has achieved great success in many different areas. Despite this, he still says his biggest win is seeing his son survive everything he has been through so far. In 2002 Michael and his wife gave birth to a healthy baby boy. As far as they knew and could see he was perfectly healthy. Tragically due to mistakes by health care providers his son was left severely disabled from cerebral palsy. He and his wife ended up suffering from depression and PTSD due to what they went through. It was a huge shock. Michael has turned this incredibly difficult set of circumstances and adversity into a driving force behind everything he does. Seeing his son so unwell and being unable to do anything about it has meant he seizes any opportunity and situation where he can have influence and impact. He creatively uses his knowledge, strength and entrepreneurship to empower and positively create things. You can be the most positive, giving person on the planet but you need to ensure you have the energy for yourself and your family too. You can't pour from an empty cup. BEST MOMENTS “It's a great thing to give people exposure who are doing amazing thing but aren't necessarily globally famous things” “My biggest win is seeing my son survive what he went through” “If there's an emotional connection there, I'll connect to it” “I just enjoy learning new things, it's how my brain works” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Today Rob opens up the floor to you, in a very rare ‘ask me anything' episode Rob answers all your burning questions from social media to personal branding, nothing is off-limits. Discover the impact Clubhouse can have on your personal brand, how to overcome your fears of rejection and how finding a brilliant workforce, can help you feel liberated. KEY TAKEAWAYS If 2020 has taught us anything it is to be agile, think fast, decide fast and act fast. Start now and get perfect later. These lessons are always presenting themselves to you however, in light of the pandemic and the lockdown and having to adjust your business model, those that adapted quickly survived and grew throughout the year. Those that did not take the opportunity really struggle. Older social media platforms such as Facebook are killing creators organic reach both on their pages and in their supporter programmes with reach being as low as 17%. Whilst there are some things you can do to boost your reach, the algorithm is not always in your favour. Clubhouse does not yet have reach issues, which is why some creators are focusing more of their time on the platform, to ensure higher engagement rates. The biggest fear is always rejection and ridicule. You should try to overcome this fear every day, even though it may hurt you. You can overcome your fear of rejection by understanding that you have more to give to the world and knowing that you are equally worthy of being valued and loved like everyone else. Know that if you don't overcome those fears, you will never have the lifestyle that you want and make the impact that you want. One thing that will allow you to work on the business, rather than in the business is by finding yourself a brilliant MD. Hire an ‘Ops Manager' train them up and ensure you are loyal to them. Teach them your SOP's, systems and processes and see that you serve them until they get good enough that they can serve you. You need a great PA to free yourself of all the minutiae so you can free yourself to focus on income-generating tasks. BEST MOMENTS “I am doubling down on my content.” “That is one of the reasons I have spent to much time on Clubhouse because you don't get that.” “That is going to be the best way to liberate yourself.” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Everybody knows the benefit that exercise has on the human body, but what about innersise and the life-changing effects that strengthening your mind can have on your life? Today Rob is joined by best selling author, entrepreneur and CEO of NeuroGym John Assaraf, who discusses the importance of working on your cognitive behaviour in order to lead the successful life you desire. John talks through the act of ‘cognitive priming', the science behind success and how being disruptive is not accepting ‘what is' but about asking ‘what can be?' KEY TAKEAWAYS Where exercise is done to strengthen your muscles, ‘innersise' is done to strengthen your mind. Start by writing your vision and goals and write out the beliefs you need to achieve them. Each day after you, should sit in front of the written document and do ‘cognitive priming'. Cognitive priming the act of visualising yourself achieving your vision and goals. . Visualisation is simulation therefore when you actively prime your brain through focused attention and spaced repetition as well as adding emotion, you are activating certain networks in your brain. When we create a neuro pattern and we reinforce it, it becomes a dominant paten, we now become habituated into seeing our goals. It now goes from a conscious effort to unconscious behaviours. When we activate the deeper limbic system of ours aka our emotions with the logical part, we are adding fuel to the neurons that are firing and the chemical release. When that happens we are getting rewarded a lot deeper. That is what causes us to build a neuro network which then actively does its thing constructively that causes us to take positive action. Do the right thing, in the right order at the right time. There are a process and science to success, whilst you may seem busy doing things, they may be the wrong things. If you learn the process and apply it you can be successful in life because you are following the blueprint for success you can then add some innovation. The meaning of life is to be curious. You should be able to express yourself in a way that makes you so proud. Be proud that you are using the miracle of curiosity in a way that is worthy of life itself. Anything less than that, you are settling, and selling yourself short. Disruptive people change the norm. Don't accept the norm. Every advancement in humanities evolution has been done by somebody disrupting the norm and somebody who has innovated a better, faster more efficient way to do something. To be disruptive is not just sitting back and accepting ‘what is.'' it challenging your brilliance to ask ‘what can be?'. BEST MOMENTS “I tend to set myself big goals and dreams, many of which I don't know how I am going to achieve.” “Which one has more power?” “I am so excited about our body of work.” “You should be saying ‘wow' every second of every day that you have life.” ABOUT THE GUEST John has built 5 multimillion-dollar companies, written 2 New York Times Bestselling books and featured in 8 movies, including the blockbuster hit “The Secret” and “Quest For Success” with Richard Branson and the Dalai Lama. Today, he is the founder and CEO of NeuroGym, a company dedicated to using the most advanced technologies and evidence-based brain training methods to help individuals unleash their fullest potential and maximize their results. This week we're taking a look at the future of London Since the Coronavirus pandemic hit last year, the future of London and its property market has been a hard one to predict. As it stands, the London market is all over the place. Rents are falling, house prices are falling and thousands of people are leaving the capital. So what does all this mean for the future? We're dedicating a whole episode to just that. Here's what to expect on this week's property podcast episode The media love the property market. And they love London. But journalists tend to look at what's happening in the capital and presume this is the same across the country. That's why it's important to not be swayed by headlines. Normally we steer clear of discussing London on The Property Podcast but after the past 12 months and the effects Coronavirus has had on the whole country, we felt the need to address the future of London. It's common knowledge that people are moving out of the capital and clearly tourism has taken a hit over the past year. So what does that mean for you if you're an investor in London or you were planning to make an investment there? Today Rob & Rob are covering: Why has London been hit so hard? Why 700,000 people are leaving London Rents falling and what this means Falling house prices The latest price statistics you should know Plus so much more! So, is the future of London looking bleak or is there hope on the horizon? Tune in to find out. In the news This week's news story comes from Mortgage Strategy and the headline reads ‘strongest sellers' market for a decade'. The article uses data from Rightmove where they've measured the number of enquiries per property, which is 34% higher than last year - that's a busy month! This demonstrates how strong the market is right now and the supply of properties coming onto the market is certainly proving an issue. Hub extra This week's Hub Extra resource is one to get you out and about. It's called All Trails and this app helps you to explore your local area. If your usual walk/run route has got a bit stale, this is worth a look. You simply pop your local area into the app and it'll suggest a load of new routes nearby for you to explore. Perfect if you're wanting a change of scenery this weekend. Let's get social We'd love to hear what you think of this week's Property Podcast over on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Today Rob is joined by entrepreneur, author and co-founder of Reebok, Joe Foster. Joe tells his fascinating story of how he took Reebok to become a $4billion company, from creating the Reebok brand, breaking America and selling the company. This is a life story you don't want to miss. Learn some valuable life and business lessons with the founder of one of the most successful businessmen in the world. KEY TAKEAWAYS People always advise not to go into business with friends, iIt doesn't matter if you make friends with a business colleague, but don't go into business with friends or family. However, if you understand each other's work style, it can work. Find out what each other is good at and utilise those skills. If you have an issue, speak about it openly to overcome it. When you talk about business, you have to put luck into the equation. Whilst hard work and determination will eventually get you results, luck can come in all forms which can help you along the way. Perhaps your competitors will hit a wall or you will tap into a new market early on and it will boom. The world has been very peaceful since the end of the War. Now during the aftermath of the pandemic, people are becoming disruptive. A lot of people want a lot because it is put out to society that it is desirable to have tonnes of money and travel the world. It takes a lot more now to make people happy, they are not as happy as others once were when they had far less. Disruption means to change things without asking permission. When there is a change in the market go for it. Your competitors might think a new trend is just a phase in the industry, however this could catapult you into the lead of your niche industry. A phase can last 10-12 years, and can grow your company into the biggest in the industry. BEST MOMENTS “Rebok is a shoe, it's no longer a bird.” “I was the boss, and I could make the decisions.” “If you start to starve a market, you fail.” “It was time for me to leave. The challenge was gone, but the ride had been excellent.” ABOUT THE GUEST: Joseph William Foster is the co-founder (with his brother Jeff) of Reebok. He shares the same birthday 18 May, as his grandfather, also Joseph William Foster who had died 18 months earlier. Joe's grandfather was the founder of J.W. Foster and Sons and the pioneer of the spiked running shoe, and also developed the trainer (sneaker). The Reebok business developed with Jeff looking after production, Joe took charge of the sales and marketing side, as well as design which included the classic silhouette, outsole and the Starcrest. In the early years Joe travelled many miles introducing Reebok's offering shoes to Sports Retailers up and down the country. By 1965, Joe was on his way to the NSGA (National Sporting Goods of America) Show in Chicago, which was the start of many Global adventures and experiences that after 15 years brought him together with Paul Fireman and later many stars of film and television. As the surviving founder of Reebok, Joe still welcomes the opportunity to travel and recount those early stories from start-up to making Reebok the World No. 1 sports brand. Joe currently resides in Tenerife, where he is writing a book of his many experiences and adventures. Today Rob is joined by the international investor, author, and billionaire Jim Mellon. Jim is an expert in fund management, investment, and biotechnology. Together Rob and Jim discuss the impact COVID will have on business, how cycles of disruption are becoming faster and how to use your money for the greater good. KEY TAKEAWAYS The internet has allowed the flow of information to be so much faster. The effect of that on entrepreneurship is that companies can rise and fall much faster because it is so much easier to start-up companies and therefore allows for greater competition. The internet has also allowed for collaborations en masse. Covid is likely to be the development of novel technologies, drugs, and therapies to protect older cohorts. This is because COVID is a gerolavic disease as it mainly affects elderly people. The reason why many elderly are dying from COVID is that their immune system is compromised, the process of building up their immunity has been accelerated because we cannot afford to go through another pandemic. There are three things everyone has got to remember. The first is ‘curiosity' if you're going to be successful you have to look at everything and see the opportunity. Secondly ‘application' is important, apply yourself daily to reach good results. Finally, focus on getting the right business model in the first place, do not try to do too much at once. Most people who go to university at 18, really don't know what they want to do with their lives. Generally speaking, University is a good thing, you don't just learn something which may or may not be relevant to your future endeavors but you also create a large network of people. There is nothing wrong with accumulating more money as long as you have got good intentions with it and you are not just going to sit on it and do nothing with it or abuse it. It doesn't matter how much money you have, don't waste it. if we are going to get richer, happier, and have more time for leisure and knowledge, then you need to start thinking about what are the great upcoming trends that will eclipse everything we have seen in the past century. Those disruptive factors will have an impact on absolutely everyone, if you think you are in a safe job, you're not as everything is subject to much faster cycles of disruption than it was in the past. BEST MOMENTS “Information can never be unlearnt.” “You make your luck” “If you want to be successful you have got to work” “If you go to bed early you will be healthy, wealthy, and wise.” “For some people that is daunting. For others, it is an opportunity.” ABOUT THE GUEST Jim Mellon is an international investor with interests in several industries. After leaving Oxford, where he studied PPE, (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics) he worked in Asia and the United States for two fund management companies, GT and Thornton, before establishing his own business in 1991. His business operations include two components, alisted fund management company called Charlemagne Capital, and an Asian mining group, Regent Pacific. Also, Mr. Mellon is the Co-Chairman of West African Minerals Corporation and Regent Pacific Group. He is on the board of several public quoted companies, including Brazilian Gold Corporation, Charlemagne Capital Limited, Manx Financial Group, Plethora Solutions, Polo Resources, Port Erin Biopharma Investments Limited, and the Speymill plc. He is the life tenant of a trust which owns the Burnbrae Group, which has substantial assets in the biotechnology, financial services, property, mining, and leisure sectors. Mr. Mellon spends most of his time working on startup ideas and investing. His book, “Wake Up!” was published in 2005; his second book "10 Investments for the Ten Years Ahead" was published in 2008. In 2012, he co-wrote "Cracking the Code" which focuses on the biotechnology sector and how to profit from it. Jim lives in the Isle of Man, Brussels, and Ibiza and is an honorary fellow of Oriel College, Oxford. Learn the importance of ensuring your visions are global, how to build a big platform and why you should always endeavour to always be kind to others. KEY TAKEAWAYS Have A Grand Vision: When you have personal goals, they can become self-centred. By turning your visions into local, national or even intercontinental visions, you will find that you have greater visions and scale. WHAT IS CLUBHOUSE? FIND OUT HERE Have you heard of the new social media trend Clubhouse? Today Rob discusses the assumptions and opinions people have made about the new app and why you should be getting involved as soon as possible. Rob discusses why you should leverage Clubhouse now whilst there are no costs, how you can grow your reach organically and why it can be used to build your personal brand. KEY TAKEAWAYS 90% of the Clubhouse rooms are not about marketing or selling. Many people have assumed that Clubhouse is a marketing scheme. Those that think this could be described as myopic because they are sceptical. People have stated that Clubhouse is time-consuming. Anything can be a time drain if you spend too much time on it. Take control of your time and limit the amount of time you spend using Clubhouse. Don't allow it to disrupt other things that you have planned in your life. You need to get an iPhone if you want to join Clubhouse. If you are using Android but still wish to join, purchase the oldest Apple iPhone you have with the latest IOS version and download the Clubhouse app. Many people are claiming that Clubhouse is just another social media phase. Why would you not want to get involved in all of the new opportunities for fast growth with no adverts, paid cost and massive organic reach. If you want to grow your business and build your personal brand without paying a lot of money on advertising. Then you should ensure that you are leveraging Clubhouse. If it flies, you were in right at the start and if it dies then at least you tried. Discover today how to sex up your offers and learn how following these simple steps can help you sell much more. Today Rob discusses the importance of outlining the opportunity your product can give to your audience, why it is crucial to show them the uniqueness of your product and how to overcome the doubters and sceptics. KEY TAKEAWAYS Show people the opportunity. The opportunity may be new, time-limited or something that is huge right now. Perhaps there is a lockdown opportunity or an e-commerce opportunity. People love to take opportunities and if you can take the time to show them that this is an opportunity for them to make a change then your product will look sexier. Think about what is unique about your product or service? There are two elements of uniqueness. Number one is why is it unique to your business and why have you never offered it before, secondly what is unique about your product in your niche market? Overcome what's stopping people from using your product or service. If you don't know what is stopping people from using your product, then they will never buy it until these issues have been overcome. Why you? Why should they use you over your competitors? You need to explain why somebody should choose you by demonstrating that you are trustworthy, have proof your product is successful and let them know that you care. There are many sceptical people out there but even none sceptical people will have their doubts and their concerns. You need to overcome these doubts and think as if you are a sceptical person and help solve the doubts your audience may have. BEST MOMENTS “You're probably going to be able to double your sales.” “Can you get a course online less than $20 which is essentially like a deep dive masterclass on how to make an offer more compelling?” “Who is to blame and how do you solve that problem?” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Today Rob is joined by the inspiring motivational speaker, trainer and best-selling author Mark Victor Hansen. Famous for co-creating ‘Chicken Soup For The Soul' which has over 250 titles and have sold more than 500 million copies worldwide, Mark explains why he believes reading is a fundamental freedom of all freedoms. Rob and Mark also discuss why to achieve your destiny you need to be able to ask, how there is greatness and super talent in everybody and what it means to be disruptive. KEY TAKEAWAYS Reading is a fundamental freedom of freedoms. Once you know how to read, you can set some great goals. Wouldn't it be nice if everybody in the world could read, learn and earn? There is a triangle to achieving goals which go: Learn, Earn and then Return. Every disruptive person has got to understand that there is always a bridge, there is always a detour or a stop sign that you need to over, under, around or through to get to the other side in order to achieve what you want to achieve. To achieve your destiny, you need to be able to ask. There are three parts to it, ask yourself, ask others and as God. Everybody out there who is unemployed or unhappily employed needs to know that there are questions to ask God. Ask God 400 times before you go to sleep ‘What is your destiny for me?” We're born over-endowed with 18 billion brain cells, they cannot come to work until you cut deep and question what your destiny is. We need to find greatness in everybody. There is super talent in every single person. We are all unique. We all have our different hierarchy of values therefore there are no two people on the planet that are the same, meaning there is nobody like us. Sometimes we just need people to believe in us when we don't know that ourselves. Worry is stewing without need to. It is a one-way elevator going down and it will make you involute rather than evolute. People are put on this earth to create and contribute and those people who feel depressed are not creating or contributing. You have to express rather than depress and to express, you have to contribute and create. To be disruptive means that you cannot keep doing something the way it is already being done. When Steve Jobs went to Kodak and saw that they had not patented digital photography in one year, he took it and put it in a cell phone. Inside every company there is the greatness, you have to ask what is working and what you can change. BEST MOMENTS “People love my stories, and I've got stories to tell” “The only way to get to your destiny is by asking.” “There's more than enough for everyone's needs, but not everyone's greed” ABOUT THE GUEST Mark Victor Hansen is probably best known as the co-author for the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series and brand, setting world records in book sales, with over 500 million books sold. Today Rob and Steve talk from the Legendary Browne Street Cafe in Avondale about... 1, What does it mean to be human, as in the inherent qualities, being a humane being 2, Are we a hybrid species? Fractals of the universe? 3, Do we understand the meaning of being a creator being? 4, How do we balance the physical nature of our “human” with the energetic nature or spirit? 5, What really is our purpose or meaning beyond mere survival or the matrix? 6, Do we as humans value the physical nature of reality over the non-physical? 7, How do we wake up, become more aware of our multi-dimensional selves? 8, Are we really in the most intense, awakening process, are more people waking up to their true nature beyond their programming? 9, Why is it even important to wake up? 10, What is the ascension process? 11, What is time? Linear vs non-linear. Conical or circular time. Do we really exist in the past, now and future all in the same time? 12, What about downloads, DNA activation, light codes… 13, Solar flares and schumann resonance… 14, Portals and energy grids… 15, What Has 2020 Taught you?
Today Rob considers the positive effects of exposure to religious pluralism on young children as they move from concrete to abstract thinking. Early exposure of adolescents to a diversity of religious beliefs and religious pluralism - within schools and communities that embrace and celebrate religious diversity will have positive benefits. Secularism vis-a-vis religious belief is not an either/or proposition.Today's reading illustrates how Secularism and Religious pluralism operate harmoniously within a hospital, where secularism provides "the shared vocabulary" within a pluralist faith context; Secularism and Religion are therefore complementary. Religious Pluralism is not "no faith" - is not "bad faith" but "Good Faith". Listen on!
Have you ever been told that to be successful in business you must at first ‘get on the tools yourself?' Today Rob discusses why this advice can be harmful to those entrepreneurs with a big vision. Learn today why leveraging and outsourcing tasks to others can help your business grown, how hiring a project manager to complete jobs you cannot allow you to focus on income-generating tasks and why ‘getting on the tools' can only allow you to focus on one job at a time. KEY TAKEAWAYS Some people believe that to develop a project and be successful in your business then you need to get on the tools yourself. By this logic, you would not be able to outsource tasks unless you were fully trained in them already. This could potentially be harmful to any investment opportunities. Often as an entrepreneur, you will believe that nobody can do the job better than you can and you will feel the need to have full control over everything in your business. However, full control often means you cannot grow, focus on your vision and building a team around you. Learn to work smart not hard. A common problem many entrepreneurs face is that they get addicted to business. They see business and hard work as a badge of honour. You need to focus on your key result areas and income-generating tasks. Pick the tasks that are the most important and prioritise them first. Value your time and maximise the return on time invested. You need to learn to take a step back from your business and have a helicopter view of your company. Instead of doing everything yourself, hire a project manager. If you get on the ‘tools' yourself, you can only do one task at a time. You don't need to have done the ‘tools' yourself to have them as part of your business strategy. Leveraging tasks out will allow your business to grow much quicker. There will be people who are specialised in their respective areas who can complete tasks better than you. By leveraging these tasks out to them, you will be able to build a team and a culture. If you want to go fast go alone but if you want to go far go together. BEST MOMENTS “Be careful where you take your advice from.” “You do not need to hustle and grind for 14 hours a day for 10 years to become an overnight success” “Do not confuse being busy, with being productive.” “There is too much free advice, which is worth every penny, from people who have not been there and done it.” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ CONTACT METHOD Rob's official website: https://robmoore.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/robmooreprogressive/?ref=br_rs LinkedIn: https://uk.linkedin.com/in/robmoore1979 ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Has this year thrown some curveballs and challenges your way, and you're not sure exactly how to step up and overcome them? Today Rob shares his 7 tips to be more courageous which can help you overcome difficult challenges in your personal and professional life. Learn how planning for the worst-case scenario can help you move forward, why you should contextualise your problems and look at the greater picture and why it is important to ensure you are surrounded by a good support network. KEY TAKEAWAYS Ask yourself ‘what is the worst that can happen?' and then plan for the worst-case scenario. If you have a plan B, C and D for the worst-case scenario and you have figured out the worst that could happen, then you can move forward with more faith, belief and less fear. Often, your doomsday thinking makes things seem a lot worse, and you do need the courage to stand up and overcome them. Commit to your challenge and get it done because the commitments you set for yourself that you get done will increase your self-worth. The commitments you set for yourself that you break will reduce your self-worth. Make a promise to yourself and get it done. Set a boundary and put a wall there. When your self-worth increases, you will feel proud of yourself and that will train you to continuously complete the commitments you set yourself. You have got to contextualise what you are scared of. You have got to contextualise where you need bravery and courage and reframe it. Anytime you have a big challenge or problem, just contextualise it and minimise the severity of the situation in the grander scheme of things. You may find that it is not as bad as you thought it was. Have a great support network. The people around you will lift you or drag you down and they will either give you energy or they will take it away. When you have got good mentors or good coaches and you have accountability, support and challenges when you need them then you are going to step up. You will want to inspire them and repay the faith in the. The energy will transmute into you and lift you. BEST MOMENTS “Anything that you're worried about, you're scared of or you're putting off get it done early, get it done first, get it done fast.” “At the end of the day, if you have costs for not doing something or consequences for not doing something you will get it done.” “They are either radiators or they are drains and you can lean on them or push them away.” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Many entrepreneurs will have compared themselves to multi-millionaires and wondered what they did differently to them. Today Rob shares with you his knowledge on how to achieve multi-millionaire status after years of research. Rob discusses how money is simply an exchange of the value you put into the world, the importance of having the correct business model and how you need to ensure you have a growth mindset. KEY TAKEAWAYS Money is moral and is not emotional. Money does not judge and should not be defined as being bad or good. To have money does not mean you are greedy nor does it mean you are a narcissist. Money is simply a mechanism of exchange of value,a universally agreed way to exchange products, services and value because it is much more efficient than any other way we have tried over the centuries. You need to ensure you have the right business model. There has got to be a need in the world for your product and/or service. Ask yourself ‘can this business make me millions?'. You need to be able to scale your business to reach the masses and your business needs to be able to reward you financially. One trait of being a multi-millionaire is leveragability. There are very few multi-millionaires who have done it all on their own. Leverage partnerships, staff, systems and financial opportunities. You need outsourcers and other staff to help you on your journey to leveraging your business in order to become a millionaire. You need to have a growth mindset and have a relentless pursuit of growth. You can not reduce your way to millions you can only grow your way to millions. This comes in the form of ‘constant and neverending improvement'. Learn how to take feedback well, this will allow you and your business to grow. Most millionaires are ruthlessly high with their priorities. They focus on income-generating tasks and key result areas as well as not allowing time-wasting. They do not allow other peoples' emergencies to get in the way of their vision and mission. In order to overcome facing a lack of clear direction is by having a meaningful vision, something that will continue to inspire you for the rest of your life. Write yourself a mission on how to achieve your vision year on year. BEST MOMENTS “I want you to have a love affair with money, be more open, more candid about talking about money.” “The biggest thing that made me become a multi-millionaire, was people.” “Every human being will experience every human emotion.” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Have you lost your passion for business? Are you wondering how you can get your mojo in entrepreneurship back? Today Rob gives you his six top tips on how to get your mojo back and allow your business to keep thriving even during these difficult times. Rob discusses why having a clear vision can help you refocus, why it is important to remember why you started in the first place as well as the importance of surrounding yourself with empowering people. KEY TAKEAWAYS Have a clear vision, and then a mission to deliver that vision. When you are not really sure what it is you are doing and what your purpose as an entrepreneur is then you will become distracted, lost and left wondering why you are doing this. When you become lost, distracted or frustrated tune back into your vision and get back into that frequency which will help you get back on track. Remember why you started your business in the first place. When you are doing your admin, managing everyone or things have been rocked during the lockdown, you can lose sight as to why you started in the first place. Remember that burning driver and bigger reason which will help refocus you and get you motivated again. Make sure you are having empowered, inspiring and energetic conversations with people. Are the people around you lifting you up and supporting you? This is vital. If you don't have that, you don't have energy and if you don't have the energy you don't have velocity and momentum. Your energy is everything in entrepreneurship so you need to ensure you are doing everything you can to have good energy every day. Know what makes you happy and do more of it. Outsource the majority of things that don't make you happy. The great thing about being an entrepreneur is that you can hire people to do the admin, coding and accounting. You are allowed to do what you love in your business, what are your core competencies and what do you love doing in entrepreneurship? Being aware of what that is and doing it will make you happier. BEST MOMENTS “All I have to do is recite that vision to myself, remember what my purpose is on that planet and how I make a difference.” “You have the ultimate choice when you are an entrepreneur because you decided to go on your own.” “Are you doing things that energise you? Whatever that may be!” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Amazon-RM ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Are you struggling to keep up with the ever-evolving growth of social media and using it to market your business? Today Rob discusses how the use of social media has drastically changed the way we market our businesses. Learn how social media has allowed businesses to gain global reach, why it is important to create consistently high-quality content and how this can be repurposed for each of your channels. KEY TAKEAWAYS Advertising over the years has changed dramatically. Before the rise of social media, businesses were reliant on print, TV or radio media to help market their business. Companies would have to risk thousands of pounds in the hopes that somebody would call their number. Now you pay per click on platforms such as Google and Facebook. You are able to create your own daily budget depending on your marketing allocation. The amount of reach a business can get has massively increased. In previous years the majority of business was local, whereas now all business has the ability to be global. Social media has the ability to allow anybody to have a post that goes viral so long as the content has a meaningful message and the platforms pick up on it. Rather than using the term ‘content marketing' you should just use the word ‘content'. It is better to give consistent high-quality content followed by your business pitch than to give a pitch dressed up as pretend content. People don't mind being sold to when it is something that they want and when the value has already been created. Sometimes a post that is shared no more than 25 times can reach up to 1 million people. Sharing is a great way to get extra reach. If your followers deem your content as being useful, and those other people could potentially benefit from it. They will then share it and increase your overall reach. You may find that you will see an increase in the number of shares you receive if you verbally ask your followers to do so. Creating a multi-media strategy whereby you are utilising all the social media platforms available to you by posting consistently and regularly allows you to create multiple leads and multiple streams of income. It is important to be on multiple streams of social media. Perhaps make one platform your main focus and make it great, and then repurpose your content to other platforms. You will then see an increased amount of followers and engagement. BEST MOMENTS “Too many opportunities are better than not enough opportunities.” “You either sell or you don't sell, but you don't pretend.” “Stick at it, keep putting the content out there and stay consistent and the rewards will come back to you.” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Do you ever feel like you're not as good as others in your industry? Or you think you won't succeed at something, so why bother? Today Rob discusses imposter syndrome and everything that it isn't. Rob explains the detriments of labelling your inner fears as an imposter and how this can cause them to become your reality, how comparing yourself to industry leaders when you are just a beginner will create self-doubt and why nobody is better at being you than you. KEY TAKEAWAYS We need to be careful of these labels that we put on ourselves because we can end up manifesting a reality that isn't a reality, it is a fear which then becomes a reality. Imposter syndrome is where you are your own worst critic, you put yourself down and constantly tell yourself you can't do something or that others are better than you. Starting something new, or being a beginner at something should be one of the most exciting times. When you start your business or are beginning to scale, be clear on who your ideal client or demographic is. You can always train, coach inspire and mentor and create products and services for people who are not quite yet at your level. You only need to be a level or two above them. When you compare yourself to people that have been in the industry many years more than you, you then feel insignificant and that is where you get your imposter syndrome. Learn that it is okay to say “I don't know” and learn to say that you cannot offer a service that a client requires. When you learn to embrace these things, then you give yourself permission to be yourself. To say you have imposter syndrome is to say you are not comfortable being yourself. The reason it is impossible to be an imposter to yourself is that nobody is better at being you than you. Flaws, failing and all you are the best version of being you. All imposter syndrome feeling is, is useful feedback for you to check-in that you are being yourself in your product or service and ensuring that you are being true to yourself. BEST MOMENTS “Don't label it imposter syndrome, simply just say that you are new on your journey.” “Who says you shouldn't do something? If you want to start a new passion or profession and you have a message you want to get out to the masses, by saying you can't do it that is like saying nobody can be a beginner, that nobody has the right to start.” “Surely, what we are all searching for in life is to be comfortable with ourselves.” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ https://spencerlodge.libsyn.com/ ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Episode 30: Crisis Management This podcast episode opens with a crisis of sorts: a very scary surprise (to Tricia, at least) that happens in the first two minutes! Fortunately, it all ends well. Today Rob wanted to talk about the book Drive, by Daniel Pink. Written back in 2009, it is best described as the science behind what motivates people. Pink’s three concepts on how to best motivate people: autonomy, mastery, and purpose. “Heads will spring off pillows in the morning if people know that they get to go and do the work they are great at today!” As a way to discuss the benefits of doing what we LOVE to do, Tricia wanted to compare this principle with the opposite today: the time she watched her son learn about the kind of job he never, EVER wanted to do again! Her two sons decided to try being baseball umpires for a season. One of them found exactly these concepts for his own life through his baseball experience: autonomy, mastery and purpose. And for one of them, well…it was a disaster and a learning experience, all rolled into just a few weeks. Tricia shares an important principle she learned through through raising boys, part of the time as a single mother: you cannot nurture a boy into manhood. It just doesn’t work that way. “You cannot keep him safe, cozy, cuddly and free from hard things, though that is our nature, as moms.” She quotes her dad’s advice for fathers of sons: “A boy becomes a man when his father tells him he is.” “Are you raising a son whom you want to become a leader, who loves his wife, who contributes to his community and can handle criticism and be responsible in his circle of influence? You cannot nurture a little boy into manhood. There comes a time when he needs to step away from his mom and be really bold, really brave, and do the hard thing, to stretch those muscles just to see that he can.” – Tricia “You cannot nurture a boy to manhood. There comes a point when he has to be brave, to do the thing you think he cannot do. He has to prove it to both of you.” – Tricia “Let your sons take risks, because at some point they will be people in a situation of crisis, and someone will look to them to handle it. If they have never had to handle it before, they won’t know how. Let them climb too high in the tree, wander too far from home, be heckled at a baseball game…let them try it so they can figure out, ‘can I do this?’ Because some day somebody will look to them and say, “Oh no! What do we do right now?” and you want to have raised a son who will say, “I’ve got this, here we go.” -Tricia As much as these principles—autonomy, mastery and purpose—are essential in parenting, Rob has relied upon them in his work as a director and motivator of creatives: to let them do the things on their own, give them the time and space to become great at it, and always point them back to “here’s why we are doing this project.” Rob closes out this episode with…an update on his beard!

There are about as many ways to fall in love with the craft of writing as there are books to be read. But whatever the means of introduction, that first literary gateway drug, it’s typically hard to forget. But for Nashville non-fiction writer Rob Simbeck, his route to an early love of literature, began with and American tragedy. Today Rob speaks with poet Ashley Trabue, about his experience, living through a decade that fractured the country, and how that turmoil pointed him towards a love of telling stories, a discovery that helped to keep Rob from unraveling in more ways than one. Then Ashley takes the broad scope of those experiences, and turns them into poetry. Versify is a production of Nashville Public Radio and The Porch — Nashville’s nonprofit literary center. Editing for this episode came from WPLN’s Mack Linebaugh with additional editing by Anita Bugg. The episode was written, hosted, and produced by Joshua Moore. Today’s story and poem were recorded by Tasha Lemley at the 2018 Southern Festival of Books. The music is by Lee Rosevere — found through the Free Music Archive. The show is distributed by P-R-X.

As we take up our path in life, we meet people along the way that turn out to be our teachers and mentors. My guest Rob Jones has been taught by and mentored by some of comic's greats. Rob learned from Brian Stelfreeze how to color and interned with Dick Giordano. Rob has work on comic books, children’s books, books covers and the occasional newspaper strip. He is also is the 2018 Image winning campaign for the Library Foundation of Sarasota County. Today Rob and I talk about his mentors, how he got involved in children’s books including one he is working on now based on his dog, titled Rambo To The Rescue. He currently has a Kickstarter running until April 3rd for the second issue of his three part series Highspot. It is the story of stunt performer Kate Carter who loves adventure and archaeology. In issue #2 Kate and the gang are on their way to find the remains of Alexander the Great. Why does Rob reference Theodore Roosevelt as a heroic model in the series, and why did he decide to make Alexander The Great the focus of Kate’s mission? It was a blast to sit down and talk with one of my best friends, fellow entrepreneur and podcaster, Rob Murgatroyd. He’s changed my life in more ways than one, but I’m most grateful for him and our friendship because he taught me how to incorporate more play into my life. Because what fun is being successful if you can’t enjoy it, right? Today Rob is sharing how he finds balance between work and play and why you’re doing yourself (and likely your business) a disservice by not finding it. He admits that it’s not always the easiest task, but if you focus on what you really want your life to look like and create the plans to go along with it, you’ll be well on your way. It’s my hope that this episode encourages and inspires YOU to get out there and PLAY hard! Question Highlights: What’s your favorite quote? What’s one of your superpowers? What’s one thing you’re afraid of? What’s one of your favorite accomplishments? How does giving continue to drive you? How do you balance your chiropractic business, podcast and travel? What is the first step for people to help them see there’s a light at the end of the tunnel? What do you find when you ask entrepreneurs about where they find their play and balance? How has tribe influenced your level of play? Why is it so imperative that we make time for play when we are so driven and successful? What’s another example of a hard-driving entrepreneur that you’ve had a major influence on to play more and how has it influenced their business? Who’s the perfect candidate for your new mastermind? In This Episode We Talk about: Why Rob felt compelled to fund a baby’s heart surgery Why Rob is so passionate about traveling The balance between work and play Creating plans around what you want your life to look like Why the lives of high-level entrepreneurs are out of balance How Rob has influenced Chris and Lori’s views on play Getting out of our comfort zones What Rob’s “envelope goal activity” is all about Why masterminds work Rob’s new and different mastermind that mixes business and play And so much more… Rob’s Thoughts… “You are so much more than your business.” “Once you change your physical environment, you come back refreshed with new ways of thinking.” “There’s nothing spiritual about a bread line.” -- I have overcome my share of obstacles in order to architect the life of my dreams and uncover the key to lasting, meaningful success. Growing up in Queens (literally on the wrong side of the tracks), my early years were tumultuous, marked by hardship and violence. With home being a less-than-idyllic place, I clung to work and education as my ticket out of the bedroom I shared with three brothers, and the low-income reality of the life my parents couldn’t seem to escape. The minute I was old enough, I threw myself into any job I could get my hands on, from washing cars at filling stations to washing hair in salons. In hindsight, the high-end neighborhood across the tracks (home to the doctors and lawyers) likely played an unconscious role in my decision to attend school to be a chiropractor. Post high school graduation, I moved to Atlanta to complete my training and never looked back. Over the next decade I built a successful chiropractic practice, welcomed my first child, experienced the heartbreak of a challenging divorce, found healing and redemption when I met and married my wife, and read a book that changed my life and uncovered for me the world of lifestyle-entrepreneurship. That book was The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris. Having spent my entire life thus far in relentless hustle mode, I was ready for the PLAY HARD side of the hard work coin. My wife and I wanted to escape the grind and travel the world, so we did. In 2006 we launched our travel/lifestyle Blog ‘Jetset Life’ and my all or nothing tendencies showed up for the party. Predictably, poppin’ bottles on yachts grew old and I became aware that once again my life was out of balance and I felt disconnected and unfulfilled. THIS was the pivotal moment I decided to apply myself to mastering the counter-balance between the science of achievement and the art of fulfillment. From THIS, the Work Hard, Play Hard podcast is born.
