भगवन के विरत स्वरुप और लीलावातारों की कथा | अद्याय 6 और 7 In today's episode we will listen Shrimad Bhagwat katha's Canto 2, Chapter 6: "Purusha Sukta Confirmed" In this chapter, Brahma describes the universal form (Virat Purusha) of the Supreme Personality of Godhead to the sage Narada. He explains how the different parts of the cosmos correspond to the body of this universal form. Brahma elaborates on the creation process, the various elements and entities within the universe, and how all living beings are part of this grand design. The chapter highlights the glory and omnipresence of the Supreme Being and emphasizes the interconnectedness of all creation. Canto 2, Chapter 7: "Scheduled Incarnations" This chapter details various incarnations (avatars) of Lord Vishnu and their divine activities. Brahma narrates these stories to Narada, explaining how each incarnation appears at different times to restore dharma (righteousness) and protect the devotees. The chapter includes descriptions of well-known avatars like Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana, Parashurama, Rama, Krishna, and Buddha, among others. Each incarnation is shown to have a specific purpose, demonstrating the Lord's compassion and commitment to the welfare of the universe. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/ashish-p-mishra/support

In this extended episode, I interview Dr. Venu Panicker and Michaela Fábry Pardubská, MBA about the life science of Ayurveda. Originating in India about 5000 years ago, many of the descriptions of Ayurveda are given in the original Sanskrit form in which the Hindu Vedas were written, with an English equivalent given by Dr Venu as he guides us through the key elements of Ayurveda. You will hear about the Panchakarmas - or five (5) cleansing procedures which are used to detoxify the body. These are Vamana – vomiting; Virechana – purgation; Vasthi – enemas; Nasya – nasal drops; and Raktha moksha – or blood letting. As Dr Venu explains, not every patient needs to receive each of these cleansing procedures and it depends on the individual as to which is best for them, according to which of the Doshas, a person's energy type, is predominant in an individual's body and mind. In this way, Ayurveda is best described as a holistic practice, focussing on the whole person and looking at the causes of their ailments or illnesses, not just focussing on the symptoms. Other Sanskrit words you will hear in the podcast describe the various treatments which may be prescribed for an individual including: (1) Abhyangam – a full body massage; (2) Udwarthanam – a type of body scrub using herbal powders; (3) Sirodhara – the dripping of medicated oil on the forehead or 3rd eye; (4) Kizhy – best described as a bundle or pouch massage [ the pouch contains herbs, herbal powder , lemon, rice etc and any one of them is used for massaging the body after tying them in a piece of cloth like a pouch]; (5) Siro abhyanga – a head massage; and (6) Pizhil – an oil bath. Michaela Pardubská who has undergone many of the treatments described in the podcast and who has adopted an Ayurvedic lifestyle to improve her health and wellbeing, describes the benefits she has gained from the treatments and the changes it has made to her body and mind. Michaela and Dr Venu have organised several retreats to India, Croatia and Slovakia where the Ayurvedic lifestyle can be experienced at first hand. The upcoming trip to Kerala, in southern India, is a wonderful opportunity to live the Ayurvedic practice and to explore some of the beautiful nature that can be found in the state of Kerala. The retreats will incorporate the daily practice of yoga and meditation. To find out more about the opportunities to join the retreat in Kerala at the end of January 2023 - beginning of February 2023, please see the website at: https://www.ayurdia.eu or contact Michaela directly at manager@ayurdia.eu . Dr Venu can be contacted directly on +798 27 28 28 00 or by email at doctor@ayurdia.eu The general aim of the podcast series is to be entertaining for all listeners, as well as being educational, assisting upper-intermediate and advanced level English language students with additional listening practice. “The word urukrama means ‘the one whose activities are glorious.' Krama means ‘step.' This word urukrama specifically indicates the Lord's incarnation as Vamana, who covered the whole universe by immeasurable steps. Lord Vishnu is powerful, and His activities are so glorious that He has created the spiritual world by His internal potency and the material world by His external potency.” (Shrila Prabhupada, Shrimad Bhagavatam, 1.7.10 Purport)

The Vamana Avatar of Vishnu ,comparatively speaking,is less dicussed about and the temples for Vamana and Vishnu revealing himself as Trivikrama are limited. Vamana's famius temple from where He took His step to measure the world given to Him by Mahabali is in Kerala and there is a Temple for Trivikrama ,when Vishnu measured the world is in Kanchipuram,Tamil Nadu. The incident narrated about Vamana Avatar is this. King Mahabali ,Grandson of Prahlada and son of Virochana was found harassing the Dhanavas and Lord Vishnu took the Avatar as Vamana,Dwarf to discipline him. Mahabali, because of his pious nature and the boons he had received, was difficult to vanquish by any done by warfare. So,when Mahabali performed a Yagnya,Lord Vishnu,in the form of a Dwarf,Vamana took part in the Yagnya. It is mandatory to gift Brahmins, the Realized ones,at the end of the Yagnya. When Vamana, the Dwarf, asked for Three Feet of Land measured by his feet,Mahabali gave him the gift despite the warning by his Guru Sukracharya. Vamana,it is interpreted, measured the Earth with his first step, the sky with the second and as there was nothing else was available to measure for the third step,Mahabali offered his head as the third step and Vamana pushed Mahabali to Patala Loka and gran.ted him the boon to visit his people once a year. This visitation by Mahabali is celebrated as Onam Festival in Kerala every year even today. Now,Indian texts have three meanings,at least. One is the word to word textual meaning, The second the philosophical interpretation and the third, Historical/esoteric/tantric interpretation. In this incident word by word interpretation narrates the story and conveys that, however mighty one may be,if he is overwhelmed by power and resorts to unrighteous conduct he will be ruined. If he has bee pious,Divine Grace shall prevent total ruin. At the philosophical level, one who is steeped in Ahankaara ,the feeling of ‘I' and attachments to power and riches would be blessed by Divine Grace to remember his Sattivic Swabhava or nature and realize the Reality. I am providing the historical interpretation below. Kerala was a part of Tamil kingdom in Lemuria and Lemurians were referred to as the Southerners,Dravida and were reported to be in Patala, down the earth. The territories we call as south east Asia Australia were in the south. One must remember that the landmass of the earth was different then. Lemuria and MU territories encompassed these areas. Ramayana and Sumerian texts state that Lemurians lived there. Shiva, who predates Sanatana Dharma was in the south. Shiva's trishul marks are found as Nazca lines in Peru. The Incas,Mayas were the descendants of the Tamils. https://ramanan50.wordpress.com/2015/02/01/incas-of-peru-ancestors-tamils-celebrate-makara-sankaranti/ You may read more articles on these subjects by following the related articles in the link provided above. Indra and Virochana( father of Bali) are found in Bali. Vedas are called Catur Veda Sira in Bali Ancient Brahmin Village is in Bali Moving to Patala Loka by Bali means that Bali moved further south or down to the areas we now know as SouthEast Asia,Asia-Pacific. The Tolltechs,Incas,Mayas have a close link with Tamils/Keralites. Spanish has affinity to Tamil. ‘Prahlada's son was Virochana and his son was Bali (Mahabali). When Bali was performing Yagna under supervision of his guru Sukracharya, Vishnu came as Vamana(dwarf or kid) and asked for donation of ‘three pada Bhoomi.' This is wrongly interpreted as 3 foot land. Infact it is 3 quarters of Land (pada here is similar to nakshatra pada in vedic astrology, where each nakshatra is divided into 4 padas [quarters]). At that time, Bali was ruling over Asia, Europe and Africa. So he donated these 3 human inhabitated lands to Vamana and decided to leave. Vamana was satisfied with Bali and gave him a boon of https://ramanisblog.in/2016/12/26/mahabali-founded-bali-discovered-americas-polynesia-south-eas --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ramanispodcast/message

Ramayan Episode 13:Why does vishwamitra ask rama to accompany him? why did vishwamitra ask for rama to dasaratha? How did Rama protect Viswamitra yagna? (Vamana avatar) Who is Vamana and why was he born? rama lakshmana viswamitra - All these topics are covered in the video which also presents Sargas 29-30 of Bala kanda in RamayanaYou can follow us on: https://twitter.com/OnlineNarada https://www.kooapp.com/profile/OnlineNarada https://www.facebook.com/OnlineNaradaFBSummary of Ramayana: This is the story of Rama, Sita, Hanuman, Lakshmana, Ravan, Lanka and Ayodhya filled with sanskrit slokas, weapons like brahmastra, etc. Once upon a time there lived a person named Sri Rama - He is the eldest son of Dasaratha who ruled Ayodhya. Dasaratha wanted to crown him the king but his wife Kaikeyi objected to this. Instead, she wanted to send Rama to exile and crown her son Bharata as the king. A weakened Dasaratha approved Kaikeyi's conditions. Rama left Ayodhya followed by his brother Lakshmana and wife Sita. Dasaratha was unable to live without Rama and passed away. Vasishta and other sages requested Bharata to become the king of Ayodhya - but Bharata declined. Bharata never had any intentions to become a king, and left Ayodhya in search of Rama. After meeting him, Bharata requested Rama to come back to Ayodhya and rule it as a king. Rama declined Bharata's request and instead offered bharata his "Padukas" as a symbol of representation. Bharata went back to Ayodhya, placed the padukas on the throne and continued ruling Ayodhya as a subject of Rama. One day, a rakshasi called Surphanaka visited their parnasala. Rama ordered Lakshmana to cut her nose and ears. A vengeful Surphanaka instigated her friends to attack Rama, Sita and Lakshmana. Rama alone defeated 14000 rakshasas in the ensuing battle. Ravana heard about the deaths of his subjects from Surphanaka. He met his friend Maricha and together they kidnapped Sita and left to Lanka. Searching for Sita, the brothers met Hanuman near Pampa river who introduced them to Sugriva. Rama and Sugriva exchanged their stories and promised friendship in the presence of Agni. Rama promised to kill Sugriva's brother Vali after hearing about him from Sugriva. Together, they all reached Kishkindha where Sugriva invited Vali for a fight. Rama killed Vali with his arrow and crowned Sugriva as the king of Kishkindha. Sugriva organized a search in all directions for Sita with all the vanaras in his kingdom. Hanuman who went south jumped across the ocean to reach Lanka. After looking in all places he finally found Sita in Asoka vana. He shared the story of Rama and Sugriva to Sita and gave her a ring from Rama as a proof of his identity. He then consoled Sita, wreaked havoc in Lanka and eventually burned it down. He flew back across the ocean and reached kishkindha to share his findings with Rama. Ready to fight, the vanara sena built a bridge across the ocean and reached Lanka. Rama defeated Ravana in a fierce battle. All the gods and sages blessed the couple and Rama coronates Vibhishana as the king of Lanka. They all board pushpaka vimana to head back home. Eventually the four brothers reunite at Nandigrama and Sri Rama is crowned as the King of Ayodhya. He ruled the land for 11000 years. Under his rule the people were always very happy, healthy and wealthy. The story of Rama is a very good tool to build character, correct our flaws and lead a dharmic life.

This story tells about Vamana Avatar of Lord Vishnu.
Onam, celebrates the beginning of the harvest season. It is a Hindu festival celebrated yearly all over India with its origins in the Kerala state. Onam festival was held to mark the arrival of Asura King Mahabali's annual visit from Patala. The story of Onam festival suggests that gods were threatened by Mahabali , a demon king and sought for Lord Vishnu's help. The generous king accepted the request and then Vamana started to expand in size covering the sky and earth in the first two steps. Lord Vishnu, offered Mahabali the blessing of being allowed to visit his people once a year in reward for his good actions, leading to the Onam Festival in India. Chimes Radio and Katha Kuteera bring to you the story of the 5th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Prahlada ruled for a long time on earth. His devotion to Lord Vishnu spread far and wide. Not just him but his grandson, King Bali also followed his path. King Bali was very noble and kind. After the Samundramathan Bali was defeated by the Devas led by Lord Indra. He was unconscious but was brought back by Sukhracharya with the Sanjeevni mantra. Sukhracharya became his guru. Bali was very furious at Lord Indra. He performed a great sacrifice to regain his power and strength. He attacked Devaloka and ransacked all the wealth of the Gods. Bali grew stronger and mightier by performing several sacrifices and started enjoying the wealth and affluence of the Devaloka. He was full of pride and felt like the Lord of the three worlds. Aditi, the mother of all Gods and wife of sage Kashyapa, could not see her son suffering. She took on a severe vow and started praying to Lord Narayana to save her sons. Lord Narayana pleased with her prayers promised to be born as her son. A child was born to Aditi. He was called Vamana, a dwarf because of his small height. He learned the Vedas and became a learned boy completing all the ritualistic practices. King Bali around that time, decided to perform a sacrifice of donating his wealth to people near the banks of the river Narmada. When Lord Vamana visited the place, Bali welcomed him with humility. He washed Vamana's feet and asked the Lord about his needs. Vamana said he just needs three footsteps of land. Bali insisted on asking more but Vamana stood by his word. However, Sukhracharya, understood that the dwarf was Lord Vishnu who had come to end Bali's reign. The moment Bali was done with the offering rituals, Lord Vamana started growing into a size that touched the sky. With his first step, he covered the entire earth, and with the second, he covered the world above. There was no place for Vamana to keep his third step. King Bali realized his mistake and asked the Lord to keep the third step on his head. Lord Vishnu was pleased with Bali's devotion and sent him to the netherworld to be the ruler there. Though Bali was born as an Asura, his truthfulness and devotion helped him earn Lord's love. www.chimesradio.com http://onelink.to/8uzr4g https://www.facebook.com/chimesradio/ https://www.instagram.com/vrchimesradio/ Support the show: https://www.patreon.com/chimesradio See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
