In hour 2 of The Drive, Zach and Phil dive into all the different scenarios for the Broncos in tonight’s first round of the NFL draft. Zach explains why he is open to the Broncos selecting a bunch of different positions tonight. Are we overthinking the Broncos draft process and they will ultimately select a running back at number 20? Does the signing of Evan Engram prohibit the Broncos from taking a tight end in the first round? Today’s “Three Count” includes Dianna Russini’s latest on the Broncos being aggressive to trade up in the first round, Will Barton retiring after an 11-year NBA career, the Nuggets game tonight getting blacked out locally for non-Altitude customers, and James Cook wanting $20 million per year on his next contract. DenverSports.com’s Will Petersen joins the show to discuss what is going wrong for the Avalanche to be down 2-1 vs the Stars. Do the Avs need to change up their powerplay unit? How can Cale Makar get back on track?

Still a work in progress. Just a bit more work on the Moosaroo cup entryGeoff - similar to Stuart, lots of real life stuff these last few weeks, but I DID get a mojo wake up call to go back to a kit I started in the 1980's: a metal kit of a 1909 Ford Model T Tourer! Way out of my comfort zone, but that's the point really. What triggered this was the desire to use some of the “new” (to me) paints I received last month - some nice old Metallics. In the end I didn't use them (because 1909 Fords didn't have metallic finishes…), but I am still plugging away on this ancient kit, and I'm enjoying it!Terry - Working on the Moscato F-203 Dragon and the Aldrin Class by Will Barton. In Episode 1374, Sean Woodley goes solo to break down the Toronto Raptors' 120-100 win over the very bad Charlotte Hornets to improve to 40-39 and keep pace with the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA's Eastern Conference play-in race. Off the top, Sean digs into the bench explosion by Chris Boucher and Will Barton (and to a lesser extent Precious Achiuwa) as they poured in 21 and 20 points respectively and Toronto's top bench trio combined to shoot 11/17 from deep. This team doesn't need much from its reserves to be very darn good! Next, Sean discusses the steady performances by Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet, who showed once again how important they are to the team, especially on nights when Scottie Barnes doesn't have it; Barnes went scoreless in 29 minutes. Lastly, Sean runs through the Good (Fred VanVleet's 16-point third quarter), the Bad (Jeff Dowtin's lack of offensive aggression as the decision on his two-way contract conversion looms) and the Hmm (Christian Koloko's passing on the short roll) before rounding out the show.ANNOUNCEMENT: Locked On Raptors now has a Discord server. In Episode 1366, Sean Woodley is joined by Jamar Hinds (Raptors Republic) to break down the Toronto Raptors' 118-114 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, which is one of the more baffling losses in a season full of them considering Tyrese Haliburton was out for Indy. Off the top, they dig into the slew of missed opportunities for the Raptors to grab control of the game in the going, Will Barton's dud of a night as a starter in place of the injured Scottie Barnes, Gary Trent Jr. and Precious Achiuwa, and which of the three absent Raptors the team missed the most. Next, Sean details a tactical concern that popped up for the Raptors related to Jakob Poeltl and his struggles against teams with three-point shooting big men, and why Achiuwa and Christian Koloko's development are key potential solutions to the problem. Jakob Poeltl still rules, but he's imperfect, as was put on display last night. Lastly, Sean and Jamar run through the Good (CanCon showing out, Pascal Siakam's 31-10-7, Malachi Flynn), the Bad (Will Barton, Toronto's transition scoring, Siakam missing mismatches in the first half) and The Hmmm (Status quo in the play-in race, Toronto's 4th quarter issues) to round out the show.Hey, be a pal and go follow the new Locked On Raptors Instagram account!Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. In Episode 1353, Sean Woodley goes solo to break down the Toronto Raptors' 116-109 overtime win over the Washington Wizards in the second of two matchups between the two play-in hopefuls. Off the top, Sean digs into the outstanding performance of Fred VanVleet in the win (25-4-10 on 9/16) and takes a look at the encouraging stabilization of his numbers that has taken place in January 1st. Next, Sean chats about Nick Nurse pressing all the right buttons in the win over Washington, why it was a smart move to go small in the fourth quarter with Kristaps Porzingis pulling Jakob Poeltl away from the basket, and the promising bench group of Scottie Barnes, Gary Trent Jr., Will Barton, Chris Boucher and Precious Achiuwa. Lastly, Sean runs through the Good (O.G. Anunoby's defense on Bradley Beal), the Bad (Toronto's 4th quarter efforts of late) and the Hmmmm (Chris Boucher's 3PT% since January 1st) to round out the show!Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Off the top, Sean digs into which player on the Raptors has benefitted the most from the arrival of Jakob Poeltl? Is it Fred VanVleet, finally with a real big man to play with? Is it Pascal Siakam's minutes load? Or someone else? Plus, Sean tackles a pair of questions about Will Barton's arrival in Toronto and what it means for the minutes of Malachi Flynn and Jeff Dowtin, before examining Pascal Siakam's ability to guide the Raptors through the NBA playoffs. Is his game playoff-proof? Lastly, Sean digs into questions about the Toronto Raptors' team-building model and whether their attempt to zig while the NBA zags is already proving to be a missed step, the Raptors very bad women's appreciation post, and whether Scottie Barnes or Fred VanVleet should be on the ball more at the moment. All that, plus a look at the play-in race picture ahead of a pair of huge contests against the Washington Wizards. In this episode of "Missing The Point," Brian Robb from MassLive.com joins Rayshawn and Bobby to discuss the Boston Celtics and their recent performances in the NBA. They talk about the team's potential and chances of winning the playoffs, their depth, and the need for a reliable veteran backup. The group suggests Will Barton as a good option but notes that he must be willing to put the team's goals first. The conversation also covers the impact of Mike Muscala since he joined the team, with Robb explaining how Muscala fits into the team's substantial locker room and can help in situations where there are hesitant shooters. The hosts compare him to Daniel Theis, with Rob Kelly noting that Muscala is everything Theis ever wanted to be. Later, the group discusses Mazzulla's job as the 19th head coach in Celtics history, praising the job he has done so far and the buy-in he has gotten from the players. However, Robb notes that he would like to see Mazzulla improve on recognizing when things are going wrong during a game and using timeouts accordingly. The conversation also touches on Jayson Tatum's MVP-caliber season and his chances of winning the award. Robb notes that while Tatum prioritizes team success over individual accolades, there's nothing wrong with wanting to win the MVP award. However, he notes that Tatum's supporting cast is better than some of his competitors, such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, which may make it harder for him to win the award. The best way for Tatum to win the MVP would be for the Celtics to finish as one of the top teams in the league or for some of his competitors to miss games due to injury. Overall, everyone agrees that the Celtics have a strong team with the potential to be a championship contender. Still, they must stay focused and continue working together toward their goals. ----------- Thank you for your ongoing support. Remember to subscribe and share to show your support.
