In this episode of the Lead Ministry Podcast, Josh Denhart and Vance Martin from Slingshot Group introduce a powerful framework for leading up: the Four P's. Every senior leader filters decisions through a primary lens — People, Progress, Pennies, or Process — and learning to speak that language is the difference between getting a yes and getting shut down. If you've ever made a great pitch and watched your leader's eyes glaze over, this episode will give you the diagnostic tool you've been missing. Key Topics CoveredThe People Lens – Driven by stories, transformation, and life changeThe Progress Lens – Driven by vision, growth, and taking the hillThe Pennies Lens – Driven by stewardship and return on investmentThe Process Lens – Driven by systems, fairness, and precedent Key Quote“You're using the wrong key for the lock. You're not going to unlock the door.” Scripture ReferencesProverbs 16:21 – The wise in heart are called discerning, and gracious words promote instruction1 Corinthians 9:22 – Becoming all things to all peopleColossians 4:6 – Let your conversation be full of grace, seasoned with salt TakeawayYour leader isn't blocking you. They're filtering for what they value most. Identify their lens, reframe your pitch through their language, and you'll start hearing yes more often than no. You Don't Have a Mental Health Problem… You Have an Identity Problem (Ep. 190) What if nothing is “wrong” with you—but something deeper is off? In this episode of Genuine Life, I sit down with Dr. Eric Moyer and we go straight to the root of what so many of us are dealing with right now—the identity piece underneath anxiety, addiction, burnout, and people-pleasing. Because a lot of us have spent years trying to fix behaviors without ever asking who we're actually operating from, and if your identity has been shaped by trauma, approval, fear, or survival, then even when you're doing everything “right,” it's still going to feel unstable. We talk about the Four P's—principles, perspectives, purposes, and priorities—and how they quietly drive everything in your life, why so many people feel stuck in the same patterns, and what it actually looks like to begin changing from the inside out without forcing it or beating yourself up. This isn't about saying something is wrong with you—it's about finally understanding why things haven't been working and how to rebuild something solid. If you've ever thought “why do I keep ending up here?” this one will hit home. Website: https://redeemingidentity.com Book: Redeeming Identity: Restoring the Heart of God's Design

One of the most polarizing questions in the mind of any photographer is "Should—or shouldn't I—get an agent?" The role of an agent in a photographer's career is often misunderstood, leading hungry creatives to think that securing representation is their number one key to success. In truth, the relationship between a photographer and agent is far more nuanced than simply booking more assignments. In today's podcast, we take a deep dive into this complex alliance in a discussion with two generations of top agents, whose combined careers span from the film-era to the latest in media buys. Listen in for a behind-the-scenes look at the many details involved, from the four P's Jennifer (JP) Perlmutter looks for in a photographer's work to Michael Ash's skill in editing a portfolio to allow a photographer's individual vision and passion to shine. Our experts also shed light on critical topics such as branding, while making distinctions between a physical and emotional brand. Get fresh insights about standing out in an oversaturated marketplace and the matter of seeing ahead of the curve on trends. As JP notes, "You don't have to hop on the current trend. You don't need to create the new trend. You need to create what's true to you, what's true to your vision, and then know that there are enough people out there—that there is your niche. There are the people who are going to love what you're doing." For the full transcript, notes, links, and more, go to: https://simplysquaredaway.com/129 In this first-ever co-hosted episode, I team up with another brilliant organizing coach to nerd out about mindset, identity, and systems. We realized we share a foundational belief: it all starts with how you think about yourself. Do you believe you're disorganized? That identity could be the very thing keeping you stuck. We get into all of it, from alter egos and decluttering shame to the reason containers aren't the solution (yes, even the cute ones from Target). Plus, we each share our own organizing methods: mine is called SPACE, and hers involves the Four P's and the Amber method. We also talk about why it feels impossible to stay organized, what to do when your brain rejects “I'm extremely organized", and the tiny tweak that makes a HUGE difference in your environment. What you'll learn: How identity and mindset impact your organizing success The SPACE Method: A 5-step system to create and maintain order The Four P's Framework: Prep, Purge, Process, Protect The Amber Method for mindfulness while decluttering Tips for using alter egos to break through mental clutter The power of linking maintenance to routines you already do This is a mix of Amber and me, all wrapped up in one conversation.
“A woman came up to me and said, ‘You know, you really get me.' And I thought that's really the mantra I want to kind of go with. I want people to understand that I get what they're saying. In this candid episode of Rethink Real Estate, host Ben Brady welcomes back Chris Cochran, Director of Marketing at Harcourts Auctions, to tackle one of the most overused—and misunderstood—words in the real estate industry: marketing. With a formal marketing degree and years of experience, Chris breaks down the Four P's of Marketing (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) and why most agents only focus on one—and often get it wrong.Ben and Chris dissect how agents misuse “marketing” as a catch-all term with clients, the dangerous assumptions that come from hiding behind it, and why understanding the Four P's is essential to positioning any listing in today's market. From the myth that “more exposure” solves everything, to the truth about MLS syndication, this episode will reframe how you present and execute your marketing strategy. You'll hear real examples of properties that had the right price but the wrong product, the illusion of “different” listing portals, and how small tweaks in promotion can drastically change results. Freelancers and digital strategists are always looking for smarter ways to serve clients, raise their rates, and avoid burnout from endless “done-for-you” work. If you've ever imagined charging $5,000 (or more) for just one day of high-impact strategy, this episode could be your guide. This week, I'm sharing how I transformed my freelance business by creating profitable VIP Days that highlight my strategic thinking—no more endless to-do lists. Just four focused hours working closely with clients and earning serious income. I'll walk you through my “Four P” framework so you can start offering premium VIP Days of your own.Topics Covered In This Episode:The Four P Framework: The structuring of a successful VIP day revolves around four key Ps—Promise, Prep, Provide, and Propel.Define a Clear Promise: The success of a VIP day starts with a clear, outcome-specific promise that the client will get by the end (e.g., a paid marketing plan ready for their next launch).Thorough Preparation Is Critical: Ensure you and your client are both prepped before the VIP day. This includes onboarding questionnaires and clear expectations in your contract.Set Strong Client Expectations: Clearly outline what the day will entail and what's needed from the client. Doing this can prevent both disappointment and scope creep.Client Interaction Is Key: Unlike some “behind the scenes” VIP days, strategist VIP days are highly interactive and collaborative with the client present the whole time.Propel Clients to Their Next Step: At the end of the VIP day, provide a clear plan and next steps, which often leads to additional consulting or implementation work (more revenue for you).Leverage VIP Days as an Upsell or Lead-In: Many clients will want to hire you for ongoing or done-for-you services after experiencing the value of your VIP day—making this not just a stand-alone offer but a business growth strategy.Find the full show notes at: https://brandimowles.com/254Loved This Episode? Episode Overview In this episode of Thriving Practice, I speak with Sarah Clark, founder of Sarah Clark Consulting, who helps medical, dental, and chiropractic practices transform operational chaos into sustainable calm. Sarah's approach combines fractional practice administration with process improvement strategies that allow providers to focus on patient care rather than administrative burdens. We explore how small, intentional changes in technology and workflow can dramatically improve both the patient experience and staff satisfaction. Sarah shares concrete examples of how simple solutions like automated appointment reminders have freed up staff time and improved patient punctuality by 30% in one practice. Her compassionate, results-driven methodology emphasizes that providers don't need to make sweeping changes all at once – even incremental improvements can lead to significant positive outcomes for practice efficiency and provider wellbeing. Featured Quotes "What I do is I help private medical, dental, chiropractor, anything in that field...turn their chaos into calm. And I sort of make a joke of, well, not all the way calm, more like calm-er. Because if it's really quiet and it's really calm, that's probably also like it's never really gonna happen that way." "Burnout is not just taking care of the patients and dealing with that burden that gets put onto their shoulders, but having to run an office when a physician did not go to business school becomes really difficult...It's overwhelming. That's a full-time job." "There are ways that you can do that and take some of the manual part of the stuff that leads up to that diagnosis...once the clients, once the business owners understand that it's okay to elevate something else off of you, to give it to somebody that has the experience and the time and the understanding to do it, it is, I mean, I have two clients that will just send me a text message about whatever it is and they used to say just handle it, now that just handle it is understood." What You'll Learn Listen for these key insights: How the "Four P's" framework (People, Paperwork, Processes, and Patients) can transform your practice Why technology adoption doesn't have to be overwhelming—and how small changes like automated appointment reminders can have outsized impacts The surprising connection between provider burnout and patient experience How fractional practice administration can provide expert support for practices that can't justify a full-time administrator The critical importance of developing a strategic plan for your practice, including your eventual exit strategy Why compassion isn't just good medicine—it's good business (with scientific evidence to back it up!) Resources Mentioned Compassionomics: The Revolutionary Scientific Evidence that Caring Makes a Difference - Book recommendation from Sarah about the impact of compassion on patient outcomes and provider burnout Thriving Practice is hosted and executive produced by Tracy Cherpeski. Marketing is all about connections, but too often, we skip over the most important piece—people. Sure, we love talking about product, price, place, and promotion, but what about the humans behind the strategy? That's why I brought back Dave Torrez, Director of Small Business Success at Constant Contact, for a lively chat about the Four P's of People—peers, pros, patrons, and promoters. Spoiler: your next marketing breakthrough might come from focusing less on what you're posting and more on who you're talking to. Peers Are Your Marketing Wingmen Think of your peers as your brainstorming buddies—the business owners and marketers walking the same path. Sure, they might be in your industry, but they're not your competition. Instead, they're allies who can share insights, lessons learned, and even a little encouragement. As Dave put it, peers can help you grow by sharing their own roadmaps to success. Pros: Your Marketing Role Models These are the businesses that make you say, “I want to do that someday.” Dave suggested following pros for inspiration—whether it's how they craft campaigns or how they interact with their audience. Even better, engaging with their content can lead to new connections with like-minded people. Think of pros as your north star for what's possible. Patrons Keep the Lights On Your customers are your patrons, the folks who not only pay the bills but also provide a goldmine of feedback. Whether you're creating posts to entertain, educate, or answer their questions, keeping this group engaged can spark deeper loyalty. And when they engage with your content, their networks notice, bringing you closer to your next batch of clients. Promoters Are Your Secret Weapon Promoters are the people who sing your praises, often loudly and without being asked. They may not even be customers themselves, but they believe in what you're doing and love sharing it with their communities. Dave reminded me that it's worth nurturing those relationships—comment on their posts, cheer them on, and show them the love they show you. Remember, success isn't about shouting your message into the void. It's about listening, building relationships, and connecting with the people who matter most to your business. Dave Charest Dave Charest is the Director of Small Business Success at Constant Contact, the online marketing leader trusted by millions of small businesses. In his role, Dave acts as an educator and an advocate for small business leaders, marketing professionals, and nonprofits by providing practical marketing advice to help them achieve their goals.
