Michelle Lee has just finished the Talker Whisky Challenge where she set the record as the first Women in Australia to row Solo across any ocean. The challenge is a gruelling 5000 km row across the Atlantic ocean. This is a challenge like no other. Michelle has rowed for almost 10 wks straight in complete isolation with calloused hands, extreme fatigue and eating only freeze dried meals. She got down as low as 30kgs and was exercising 3 or more hours a day including long runs which she would get up at 230 in the morning for and then 1.5 hour weight sessions in the gym in the afternoon. An open, honest and real account of my experience in the first 13 weeks of my pregnancy. She suffered severe post partum depression with her first child. After episode 16 on how stress makes you fat, I got so many comments and questions from people that I decided to delve deeper and do a follow up episode. In this one I discuss more of the reasons why and strategies that we can implement into our lives to manage our stress and improve our health. I can't stress enough how much of a role chronic stress plays on your health, body composition and quality of life. I see it so commonly in my gym and I don't think people even consider it as a reason why they are not getting the results they work hard for.
