Sunnie (29) and Jazmyne (30) are a queer couple trying to build their life together—buy a house, bring a child into their family, and create long-term financial security. But with just one primary income and a major surgery planned for next year, every decision feels high stakes. They earn a combined $180,000 and just bought their first home; but between rising costs, paycheck-to-paycheck living, and intense pressure on Sunnie as the breadwinner, their financial conversations often swing from optimistic to explosive. With no shared plan, no savings for a wedding, and looming fears about safety and stability, can they align on a vision for their future—and build a financial plan that supports it? My exact team as a 7 figure mastermind model business

Having the right team of people alongside you is fundamental to the success of your business. From the very beginning of Swift Ventures, I've been intentional and strategic about who I have supporting me, both in the business and at home now that I'm a mama.  I've been really fortunate to have a team who have been with me for a number of years - something I value very highly. As the business has evolved, the structure of my team has shifted so today I'm sharing my exact team as a 7 figure mastermind model business. I'm a big fan of keeping my team  as lean as possible and the business as automated and systemised as possible so that I can spend the majority of my time doing what I love - coaching and creating.I've always run my business this way so whether you're bringing in 50k or 150k months, you could absolutely use the same structure in your business.Behind the ScenesAt the heart of my business is Nivek, my business manager and co-coach for the Scalable Freedom Mastermind. Nivek has been an integral part of Swift Ventures for six amazing years and has come alongside as a contractor for very intentional reasons. A lot of people ask me why I have a contractor in such a key role and the reason is because Nivek thrives in her role as a business owner and entrepreneur. It shapes the way she thinks about my business and also the way she thinks about our client's businesses in her role of co-coach. The main factor here is that I found the right person for the role. Another key person on the team is Tammy, our brilliant customer service manager and marketing assistant. Tammy joined us just before my maternity leave and her efficiency and dedication to handling our support inbox and virtual assistance are unparalleled, making her a pivotal member of our lean team.Outsourcing Beyond the core team, our operations are significantly bolstered by outsourcing to professionals like Jackie Norton and her design team at White Deer, who have been with us for nearly four years, bringing grace and consistency to our design needs. We also have our accountant Diana Todd along with the bookkeeping expertise of Susannah Piek at Santosha and of course our podcast producers, Bamby Media.CoachingClient support is front and centre, with Niv extending her support as an incredible co-coach. We also have Taryn, a marketing strategist and messaging maven, who adds immense value with her copywriting expertise.  I am so fortunate to have this incredible longterm team that supports Swift Ventures in the most amazing way.Late last year, I formed a strategic partnership with Jane Day from Webinize so that all my  Scalable Freedom Mastermind clients gain access to her  Abundant Ads Academy membership. This provides incredible value to my mastermind clients in addition to my legacy clients in the Inner Circle.Home Front SupportOn the home front, I have Lauren, my wonderful nanny who is with Sunnie two days a week plus my mum supporting one day each week. My husband Chey also has one day a week with Sunnie and although he doesn't have a direct role in Swift Ventures, he  is a key part of my advisory board, being  an expert around all things leadership, strategy, marketing, and sales.I also have my coach, Lacey,  who I personally have worked with for the last six years. Lacey is not only a key advisor in the business with her incredible strategic guidance but has also been an incredible personal support and mentor to me over the years. Having team members who've journeyed with me for the long haul is no accident. It's rooted in a leadership style where mutual respect and support are paramount. By prioritising the needs of my team—be it through financial incentives, growth opportunities, or leadership mentoring—my business fosters a nurturing environment conducive to longevity and excellence.  I've always treated my team as co-collaborators where people can take ownership of parts of the business as though it's their own.The Lean Team AdvantageKeeping our team lean isn't just strategic; it's about ensuring our business remains nimble. By automating processes and retaining a selective team, we maintain high profitability and focus on coaching and creating—areas I truly love. A lean team also allows us to pivot really easily,  giving me the opportunity to do things like taking maternity leave like I did last year. So, no matter where you're at with your team right now, I hope this sneak peek into behind-the-scenes of Swift Ventures has inspired you to think about how you might like to structure your team moving forward.LINKSResources mentioned:  FREE MasterclassDM me the word "Mastermind" on Instagram to find out about the Scalable Freedom MastermindThe FREE Mastermind Launch PlaybookConnect with Ellie: Website:         https://www.ellieswift.com/Instagram:     @elliehswiftFacebook Group:     www.facebook.com/groups/shineonsocialellieswift/

How I structure my days, weeks and months as a CEO of a mastermind business model and mama

Is your life a whirlwind of meetings, nappies, and occasional spilled coffee? Mine too! As a CEO and mama to a 7 month old, it can be overwhelming to balance all of my responsibilities. But, through trial and error, I've managed to create a schedule that works brilliantly for us.Today, I'm excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at how I've structured my days, weeks, and months to keep both my business and family thriving. My Monthly Routine: About two years ago, I realised I was on a non-stop treadmill of back-to-back calls. The only break was during my Christmas hiatus. So, I asked myself, “Why should every week be the same?” My solution was to allow for a “no-call week,” every fourth week. It serves as a breathing space that rejuvenates me, whether it's for deep work, family travel, or simply self-care. My Weekly Routine: My weeks follow a specific rhythm that aligns with the needs of my family and my clients:- Mondays: Every Monday is reserved for deep work so I can start the week on the right foot. I've got not calls scheduled and my mum looks after Sunnie, so I can focus on strategic planning and content creation.- Tuesdays and Thursdays: With our amazing nanny Lauren taking care of Sunnie, these are my main call days. I maximise my call time, ensuring no more than three hours a day to still engage in team communication and creative tasks. - Wednesdays: This is my husband Che's day at home with Sunnie, and my day to immerse in creative work and content creation. It not only helps balance the childcare but helps to create a varied rhythm in my weeks. - Fridays: This is my dedicated Sunnie day. I step away from the desk to spend time with her, only dipping into work while she's napping and if necessary. My Daily RoutineOur mornings vary depending on when Sunnie wakes up. If we're up early, we might go for a walk, and if not, we enjoy some playtime together. I start my workday once Sunnie is settled with her nanny or caregiver. In the evenings, we follow our family routine with Sunnie's dinner, bath, and bedtime. I often find the time after Sunnie sleeps to be productive, allowing me to wrap up the day's work tasks. I wouldn't manage this without my incredible support system. From invaluable childcare by my mum and our nanny to fortnightly help from a cleaner and Che's role as the head cook in our house—these contributions are indispensable.Next week I'll be sharing more about this amazing team that helps me achieve the balance between business and family, so make sure you come back for that. But for now, I hope this glimpse into my life provides some inspiration, comfort, or even a few ideas to try!LINKSResources mentioned:  FREE MasterclassDM me the word "Mastermind" on Instagram to find out about the Scalable Freedom MastermindThe FREE Mastermind Launch PlaybookConnect with Ellie: Website:         https://www.ellieswift.com/Instagram:     @elliehswiftFacebook Group:     www.facebook.com/groups/shineonsocialellieswift/

In 2012, just two days before her 16th birthday, Sunnie Carney lost her father to homicide. Through her personal journey of grief, mental health struggles, and ultimately healing, she discovered a critical gap in support services - one that affected countless children in similar situations. This revelation led her to found Children of Homicide Victims (COHV) in Kansas City, an organization dedicated to restoring hope, love, and faith to children who have lost parents to violence. COHV serves children from infancy through age 17, with a particular focus on ages 8-16 - a developmental period already complicated by natural growth and change. These children often face misdiagnosis in school settings, where their trauma responses are mistaken for behavioral disorders. Through COHV's comprehensive support system, they receive academic assistance, mental health resources, and perhaps most importantly, a community of others who truly understand their experience. What sets COHV apart is its team - 75% of staff members are themselves children of homicide victims. This shared experience creates an authentic connection with the children they serve, showing them living proof that their circumstances don't define their future. The organization's name, abbreviated as COVE, reflects its mission to be a protected harbor for these young souls navigating unimaginable loss. In this powerful conversation, Sunnie shares success stories of transformation, discusses the unique challenges faced by grandparents suddenly thrust into primary caregiver roles, and explains how COHV is working to break the cycle of intergenerational trauma. Her work reminds us that while we cannot prevent every tragedy, we can create communities of support that help children not just survive their loss, but emerge as future leaders and agents of positive change. About Sunnie Carney: Founder, Executive Director Sunnie was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2017, where she was awarded a bachelor's degree in Communications, and she is currently attending the University of Missouri-St. Louis to obtain her Masters degree in Education. Sunnie has a huge heart for children. She identifies as a child of a homicide victim. Aside from COHV, she is also a member at The Refuge KC, the Youth Director of Refuge Little League Youth Ministry. Sunnie's goal is to be the voice and the light that leads people to change and the help that transforms a wounded child's heart and mind.  Links from this episode: https://www.cohvkc.com/ https://www.instagram.com/cohvkc https://www.facebook.com/cohvkc https://www.linkedin.com/in/sunnie-carney-700779183/

BTS Wins & Challenges First 2 Months Back From Maternity Leave

I know you love getting a peek of what happens behind the scenes at Swift Ventures and today I'm excited - and I'll be honest, a little nervous - to share my wins and challenges from the first 2 months back from maternity leave.3 of my biggest winsAbove all, I'm so incredibly grateful to have a healthy thriving baby and a healthy thriving business. To me, that's the biggest win. It's an amazing feeling to know I am showing up in both areas, being present as a mum and in my business and it's something I'm really proud of.Another win I'm celebrating is the success of my brand new masterclass which had over 750 sign-ups and a 20% show-up rate. I was thrilled with this result given the current season and it was honestly the best masterclass I've ever done. We had an incredible launch and at this point, we're about 95% sold out. All of that with a four-month-old baby is, I think, a massive win. This season has been very full and I am so grateful for the support system I have around me. Between my mum, my incredible nanny and Chey, who is such a wonderful father, I feel so supported to focus on the business when Sunnie is in their care. The day to day structure we have in place is working so beautifully and I'm so grateful. 3 of my biggest challengesI knew that motherhood would present me with challenges that I hadn't experienced before but I must admit, some challenges have taken me by surprise. One particular challenge has been the lack of flexibility in finding extra time. Those spontaneous late-night and early-morning work sessions aren't always possible now, which means I'm having to adjust to a much more structured work routine and have some really strong boundaries in place. During the already big season of my mastermind launch, there were a few nights when Sunnie wasn't sleeping as well and I found myself going into time scarcity in a big way. I experienced anxious thoughts in a way I hadn't in a long time. It made me realise that I need to acknowledge my limitations and also prioritise my wellbeing so I don't burn out. Looking ahead to planning next year with big business and personal goals in mind is both exciting and daunting. For the first time in my career, I'm planning the year ahead while also trying to factor in the practicalities of life with a baby - who will quickly grow into a toddler. I really don't have any idea what that will look like, so it's been a challenge to know how to make space for that. While my wins and challenges are specific to my season of life with a new baby, I hope this episode feels supportive to you in your unique life situation. Whether you're navigating life with teenage kids, taking care of ageing parents or juggling career goals amidst personal changes, the main message I want to share is that it is absolutely possible to rise and thrive, no matter what you're facing. LINKSResources mentioned:  FREE MasterclassDM me the word "Mastermind" on Instagram to find out about the Scalable Freedom MastermindThe FREE Mastermind Launch PlaybookConnect with Ellie: Website:         https://www.ellieswift.com/Instagram:     @elliehswiftFacebook Group:     www.facebook.com/groups/shineonsocialellieswift/

My Biggest Mindset Lessons From Birth

For those of you who may not know, I've just welcomed my beautiful baby girl, Sunnie Marg Robinson, into the world. From unexpected challenges to moments of pure joy, this experience has reshaped my perspective on life and business. So, I'm taking a quick break from my maternity leave to share with you my birth story and the incredible mindset lessons it taught me.Our journey began months before Sunnie arrived. At around 25 to 30 weeks, we discovered she was breech. Though I tried everything from inversions and acupuncture to chiropractics and moxibustion to flip her, Sunnie was steadfast in her position. This initial phase tested my mindset significantly, especially my preparation for a C-section, scheduled for the 11th of July—interestingly at 11:11 AM. Yet, just four days before the planned C-section, Sunnie miraculously flipped! While I had mentally prepared for a c-section, I was overjoyed that I could return to my original plan of a vaginal birth. This experience reminded me of the immense power of mindset flexibility, where embracing uncertainty and adapting to changes became paramount. The next two weeks were an excruciating yet exhilarating waiting game for natural labour to kick in. My heart was set on avoiding induction, so every waking moment was spent walking, eating dates, and doing stretches, all while hoping to trigger spontaneous labour. Just one day before my scheduled induction, labour finally began with a stretch and sweep, igniting contractions almost immediately.Affirmations and breathing techniques were my lifelines. I was deeply rooted in calmness, thanks to hypnobirthing preparations. As contractions intensified, my partner Chay's whispered affirmations anchored me: "You're so powerful," "Your body was made to do this," and "You've got this." These affirmations were soothing and reinforced my belief in my capabilities. They also reflected the mindset strategies I have long applied in business.Arriving at the hospital at 2 AM, I was prepared for the next phase. Asking for an epidural became a saga of its own, extending over two grueling hours due to an emergency C-section elsewhere. This unexpected delay pushed my mindset to its limits. I found myself physically and mentally shaken, but Chay's unwavering support helped me re-anchor into my strength. The key lesson here is knowing you can go further than you think possible. In business and life, we set boundaries for ourselves, but often, we are capable of much more when pushed to our edges.During the final stages of labour involving pushing and crowning, I realised the importance of support. Surrounded by an amazing medical team and listening to our birthing playlist, I felt an overwhelming sense of empowerment. Even when a final push required additional assistance with a vacuum because of Sunnie's large head size, I didn't feel defeated. Instead, I felt an immense gratitude for the support that ensured a safe delivery. As I looked into Sunnie's eyes for the first time, I felt an immense wave of gratitude and growth. Each step of labour taught me lessons about strength, patience, and the importance of mental preparedness. I hope that my experiences resonate with you and provide some insights into the incredible power of the human mind during life's most challenging moments.LINKSConnect with Ellie: Website:      https://www.ellieswift.com/Instagram:   @elliehswiftFacebook Group:    www.facebook.com/groups/shineonsocialellieswift/

Welcome to another Western Ag Voices Episode! On this episode, we had the opportunity to visit with Devin Sisk of Muleshoe, TX. Devin was raised in New Braunfels, but now calls the Panhandle home. She served as Miss Rodeo Texas in 2009, where she traveled the country promoting rodeo and agriculture. While in college at Texas A&M, she started her photography business to help pay for rent and entry fees. Upon graduation with her Bachelor of Science in Ag Leadership and Development, Devin decided to take photography full time and hasn't looked back. Her team has grown to over 15 members and they specialize in photographing and marketing large western events like livestock shows, rodeos, and weddings. Aside from photography, Devin and her husband Jed are immersed in their AQHA and cattle operation in the Texas Panhandle and Central New Mexico. They share their love for agriculture with their two children, Sunnie and Ira, and are passionate about promoting and preserving the Western way of life.
