Sports agency warns CTTTA for revoking athlete's WTT US Smash slot The Sports Administration has issued a formal warning to the Chinese Taipei Table Tennis Association and announced the suspension of subsidies unrelated to training and competitions. The move comes after the association revoked (撤銷) Yeh Yi-tian's place at the World Table Tennis U-S Smash tournament scheduled for July. EVA Air joins IATA's Turbulence Aware Platform to enhance flight safety EVA Airways has signed a cooperation agreement with the International Air Transport Association to join its Turbulence Aware platform - which seeks to improve flight safety through real-time data sharing. Airline President Clay Sun says the carrier believes that joining the program will help pilots and dispatchers better analyze real-time data, plan and choose appropriate flight paths to avoid areas with higher turbulence (亂流) risks, and ensure passenger safety. The agreement was signed by Sun and International Air Transport Association Director General Willie Walsh during the association's three-day annual general meeting in New Delhi this past weekend. The International Air Transport Association says participating airlines generated a total of 51.8-million turbulence reports in 2024, a 35-per cent increase from 2023, which is highly beneficial in reducing the damage caused by turbulence. UN Elects ExGerman FM as Assembly President The U.N. General Assembly has overwhelmingly elected Germany's former foreign minister Annalena Baerbock to be the next head of the 193-member world body. The vote was held Monday by a secret-ballot demanded by Russia. Send us a textGrief manifests differently for everyone, as Karen discovers when she reluctantly attends a support group for those who've lost spouses. There, she meets Bill Medford, a widower who's been navigating life without his wife for over a year. Their connection is immediate, but complicated by Karen's hesitancy to move forward just four months after Sid's death. The episode brilliantly explores how family dynamics shift during periods of loss. Diana, already shouldering more household responsibilities, reacts with hostility when Bill enters their lives. Her resistance isn't simple teenage rebellion but reveals deeper fears about her family's changing structure. The role reversal scenes where mother and daughter interrogate each other about their respective dates highlight how grief disrupts traditional family hierarchies.Meanwhile, Kenny and Ginger find themselves at odds over parenting philosophies for baby Molly. Their conflict represents classic debates between responding immediately to a baby's cries versus allowing self-soothing. When professional advice fails them, they reluctantly accept help from an unexpected source—Valene's mother, Lily Mae, whose folk wisdom about positioning the crib relative to the moon proves surprisingly effective. The episode features a standout performance from Julie Harris as Lily Mae, whose impromptu musical number at the neighborhood gathering mortifies Valene while revealing her long-game strategy to advance her musical aspirations through Kenny's industry connections. For longtime Dallas viewers, there's an additional meta-layer of enjoyment seeing David Ackroyd (the original Gary Ewing) return to the universe as a new character pursuing Karen."Mistaken Motives" ultimately reminds us that healing happens on individual timelines and that the assumptions we make about others' intentions often miss the mark. Whether you're processing loss, navigating new relationships, or just trying to get a baby to sleep through the night, sometimes the most unexpected solutions prove most effective.

Michelle Lee is an adventurer who has rowed across both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. She shares her experiences, highlighting the power of mindset, preparation, and intuition in overcoming challenges and achieving seemingly impossible goals. Key Ideas and Facts: 1. The Power of Mindset and Visualization: Committing fully: Michelle emphasizes the importance of unwavering commitment, both mentally and physically. "It was head and heart coherence. So, you know, I wasn't one foot in, one foot out. It was just all or nothing. I was going to do this do or die." Creating filters: She developed strategies to shield herself from negativity and doubt. She visualized "putting [herself] in a bubble" to deflect negative comments and focus on her own goals. Building a mental toolkit: Michelle relied on resources like the works of Dr. Joe Dispenza and the Silva Mind Control Method to manage anxiety and cultivate a positive mental state. The power of "Why is this happening for me?": She reframed challenges as opportunities for growth and learning. This shift in perspective empowered her to face difficulties head-on. 2. Meticulous Preparation: Immersion in the project: Michelle actively participated in building her boat, gaining intimate knowledge of its structure and capabilities. This deepened her connection to the project and boosted her confidence. Addressing weaknesses: After her Atlantic crossing, Michelle analysed her experience and focused on improving her weaknesses, particularly in hand care and nutrition. Importance of redundancies: She stresses the critical role of backup systems and spare parts for safety and peace of mind. Visual cues and the power of gratitude: To combat loneliness and low moods, Michelle utilized a ribbon with the names of her supporters and focused on feelings of gratitude. 3. Trusting Intuition: The role of intuition in decision-making: she emphasizes the importance of listening to her gut feelings, especially in challenging situations where logic alone wasn't sufficient. Intuition as a reliable guide: Michelle believes intuition, honed through meditation and the Silva Method, guided her safely through unpredictable ocean conditions. 4. Universal Lessons: Embracing discomfort and pushing boundaries: She encourages individuals to step outside their comfort zones and engage in new experiences for personal growth and resilience. The importance of support and vulnerability: While emphasizing self-reliance, Michelle acknowledges the crucial role of her support network and the power of vulnerability in building connections and receiving help. Living a life without regrets: Her overarching message is to seize opportunities, commit fully to one's goals, and strive to "not die wondering." Conclusion: Michelle Lee's incredible ocean rowing adventures offer valuable insights into the power of mindset, preparation, and intuition. Her experiences demonstrate that even seemingly insurmountable challenges can be overcome with dedication, a positive outlook, and a willingness to embrace discomfort and learn from setbacks. https://www.instagram.com/michelleleesolorower/profilecard/ https://www.facebook.com/michelle.mcdonald.31542841 https://www.linkedin.com/in/michellelee-solorower?utm_source=share&utm_campaign=share_via&utm_content=profile&utm_medium=android_app info@dougbeitz.com dougbeitz.com facebook.com/dougbeitz instagram.com/dougbeitz

Have you ever felt the need to belong to a particular group or tribe? Have you ever felt like you didn't belong somewhere? I believe we have this deep wired, this God-wired need to belong. And I believe all of us have at some point experienced the absence of that belonging. And that hurts deeply. The longing to belong is one of my greatest needs, personally. So, when my friend, Michelle Lee Barnewall, wrote a book literally called A Longing to Belong, I was very intrigued. What I love in her book, is that she uses her own personal story of being Asian and growing up in an extremely white neighborhood. She describes how that taught her that she did fit in because she was really American, but then she didn't really. Her book is part memoir, part eloquent theological treatise to challenge us to reconciliation in the name of belonging, in the name of unity in the body of Christ. It is about ethnic reconciliation. It's about belonging together to the family of God. Our conversation today is very honest. There's nothing Pollyanna or sugarcoated about this, and we're not drawing a black and white picture at all. Actually, I think her book is extremely subtle, balanced, challenging and beautiful at the same time. So, we discuss the deep longing to belong that we each carry, deep inside. Michelle doesn't mind the ambiguity of not having black and white answers. Her book, A Longing to Belong, really fits in the same category. She has a PhD from the University of Notre Dame. She is a professor of New Testament at Biola University. She brings a level of nuance and a comfort in ambiguity that I find much needed in our generation, in our culture today. So, join us today! Today on the Rarified Heir Podcast we are talking to actor Christopher Murray, who we find out, was quite literally born into show business. From both his maternal and paternal grandparents as well as both of his parents, Christopher likely couldn't have escaped a career in front of the camera if he tried. So who are his parents? Well, both are Oscar nominated and his mother is a two-time Emmy award winner. Can you guess? None other than actors Don Murray & Hope Lange. Between his parents, they have starred in films and TV productions with Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Robert Wagner, Charles Laughton, Roddy McDowell, Michelle Lee, Kathleen Turner, Joan Crawford, Glenn Ford, Suzy Parker and more. And if that isn't enough, his stepfather was a giant of a director,  Alan J. Pakula who directed some of the best films of the 70s as well. Our time  with Christopher was more a conversation than an interview and frankly, those are the ones we love best on this podcast. We jumped around a lot but the connections were never more apparent than when we were discussing how it is that Charles Nelson Reilly spent so much time at his house. We delved into just about everything with Christopher to the story of how his parents helped displaced European war refugees from WWII & the Korean War that still functions to this day as well as the fabulous dinner parties his mother gave that were a safe haven for gay Hollywood couples in an era when things like that were very rare. This conversation that spans the stage, film and television and involves everyone from Hubert H. Humphrey to Eleanor Roosevelt, Sean Connery to Ed Harris & Freddy Kruger to Don Deer. But to hear all of those stories, we had to spread this episode into two parts – there was just too much great stuff to cut out. You'll have to take a listen to this episode, part one,  of the Rarified Heir Podcast to begin this verbal scavenger hunt.  Everyone has a story.

The Complementarian vs. Egalitarian debate has caused untold amount of arguments and division in the Church throughout the years. Complementarian's believe that women have limited roles in Church leadership while Egalitarian's believe men and women can hold the same positions in Church leadership. There's more to it than that but that's the general idea. With that said, it's not surprising that this has been a contentious topic for many. Dr. Michelle Lee Barnewall wrote a book titled "Neither Complementarian nor Egalitarian: A Kingdom Corrective to the Evangelical Gender Debate" that helps us get back to the point of the Scriptures. She asks the question, "Is the Bible concerned with who can do what, or is it calling us to something even higher that requires more love and sacrifice? Enjoy! Michelle Lee is extraordinary. An everyday life-enthusiast who achieved remarkable feats in ocean rowing, being the first Australian woman to solo row any ocean. She details her experiences rowing across the Atlantic in 2018, a challenging 68-day voyage, followed by an even crazier solo row across the Pacific Ocean in 2022, a journey that took a staggering 240 days... No assistance, encounters with sharks, and a plethora of challenges, like running out of chocolate WAY too soon which sure isn't a selling point in my books! As a fitness enthusiast but not a natural born athlete it's Michelle's mindset, philosophies and attitude that landed with me most in this chat. I absolutely loved her as we riffed on embracing challenges, managing fear and anxiety, and the importance of stepping out of one's comfort zone.   SPONSORED BY TESTART FAMILY LAWYERS Website: testartfamilylawyers.com.au MICHELLE LEE Website: solorower.com TIFFANEE COOK Linktree: linktr.ee/rollwiththepunches Website: rollwiththepunches.com.au LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/tiffaneecook/ Facebook: facebook.com/rollwiththepunchespodcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/rollwiththepunches_podcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/tiffaneeandcoSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

For Michelle Lee, being the first woman in the world to row the Pacific Ocean solo, unassisted and without stopping, was her version of escaping the matrix. 15,000 kilometres, Mexico to Australia, 240 days, rowing for 12 hours a day, converting sea water into drinking water, technical challenges, physical and medical challenges, crazy weather, losing 19kgs, total isolation, eight months of mostly dehydrated food (6 meals a day and still couldn't keep up with her energy needs) and a whole new world of self-discovery. This was an awesome conversation.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this podcast episode, Mari-Liis Vaher from Powerful Marketers interviews Michelle Lee Myrter, who shares her journey of rebuilding her life after losing her job and how she became an expert in building relationships. Michelle discusses the BANK system, which is a reverse-engineered personality science based on buyology (the science of buying behavior) and core values, and explains how it differs from the well-known DISC model. Michelle is a business coach and trainer, and an international professional speaker. She has 28 years of experience in sales and marketing for a multi-million dollar company. After losing everything, she built a very successful company and direct sales business by using the BANK system she now teaches other people.  Quotes: “And what happened is my life transformed. I was able to grow my company, which was my main goal from zero to 2.2 million in less than three years. But the biggest change that happened was this changed my life with my children. It saved my relationship with my oldest son." (00:02:39) "BANK is reverse engineered. personality science, and if you line up DISC and BANK, they're exactly the same, only completely different. And the reason they're completely different is because it's not based in psychology. It's based in buyology, the science of buying behavior, and it's based on core values.” (00:05:39) “Every person is made up of all four. So it depends on the order that they're in. That makes them the unique person they are.” (00:08:03) “The biggest mistake that entrepreneurs and business owners make is that they speak in their own code, even in relationships with your spouse or your child. We're speaking in a way we understand. It's not the person's job sitting across from us to try to figure out and interpret what we're saying. It's our job to communicate clearly so they understand.” (00:10:04) “Every code is important, and every code can be successful. Sometimes it takes more to get into action for certain codes." (00:21:16) “It's all about the person sitting across from you. The better you can become at understanding it's not personal, it's personality. People matter. Everyone deserves to be seen, heard and understood.” (00:24:42) Timestamps: [00:05:38] The Difference Between DISC And BANK [00:06:30] Blueprint Personality [00:06:49] Action Personality [00:07:10] Nurturing Personality [00:07:24] Knowledge Personality [00:07:24] How To Communicate With Different Personality Types?   Links: Connect with Michelle Lee Myrter: Website: https://codebreakertech.com/ref/michelle.myrter/  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/michelle-myrter/  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/michellelee_721/    Get your complimentary B.A.N.K. ™ report: https://my.bankcode.com/?ref=michelle.myrter    Join the Powerful Marketers Community: https://community.powerful-marketers.com/ Please give us feedback on this episode: https://forms.gle/i83qkduH6dpRLytk8

Joan Van Ark steps back Behind The Rope. One of the most recognized names in Nighttime Soaps, 80s Icon, Joan Van Ark. Joan is best known for her role as Valene Ewing on Knots Landing, one of the longest running prime time soap operas in history. We are thrilled to have Joan here today to chat about her career, and life for that matter, in its entirety. We reminisce about all the glory that was, is, and will always be Valene Ewing and Knot's Landing including how Joan was cast, co-stars and real life best friends Donna Mills and Michelle Lee, the other recognizable faces that popped by the worlds most famous cul-de-sac such as Nicolette Sheridan and Alec Baldwin, the fact that it spun off from Dallas and her decision to leave the show one season before its finale. Moving on from Knots, Joan opens up about the evolution of women in Hollywood from the 1980s when shows like Knots were all the rage to present day, answering questions like how far have we come and how much farther do we have to go. We also chatted with Joan about some of our other favorite shows she has appeared on like Nip/Tuck and RuPaul's Drag Race (yes we think Mama Ru is a Knots fan!). Of course we had to chat with Joan about her thoughts on Reality TV and actresses like Lisa Rinna, Denise Richards and Garcelle Beauvais who have become Housewives throughout the years. Joan chats and shares stories from her illustrious frothy year career about the pressures of aging in Hollywood, the ever presence of plastic surgery amongst The Hollywood Elite, and the #MeToo Movement. Finally we chat with Joan about the current crop of television she has been binging, the current crop of “A List” actresses she puts her stamp of approval on, all the many current projects she that are keeping her busy and with reboots running rampant chat, hoping to will into existence, a Knot's Landing Reboot. Ahh, a girl can dream, can't she.
