According to Senator Tuberville's press release, “the VA reported in October 2023 that from September 9, 2022 to September 30, 203, the agency facilitated 88 abortions.” However, since this report the VA has failed to release any updated data regarding the additional abortions they have facilitated, despite many requests from Members of Congress. The Alabama Senator believes taxpayers have the right to know how the VA is spending taxpayer dollars. Amanda also asks Senator Tuberville about his thoughts on Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas' impeachment articles that were pending for trial before the United States Senate. Furthermore, Amanda dives into the latest culture fight, but in a place you would probably least expect it — in comic books. It seems like more people are talking about Alabama Senator Katie Britt's rebuttal more than the actual State of the Union Address itself. Did you feel that her rebuttal was overly dramatic?

Hour 2 - The Alabama Senator delivered the response from her kitchen, and plenty of other Republicans added their opinions responding to the SotU.  Including presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Many are saying it's about time. Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville of Alabama has finally lifted the hold on the confirmation of hundreds of military promotions. The actions, announced Tuesday, allowed the Senate to rapidly confirm military nominations by voice. This saga has been going on for 10 months now. The Alabama Senator, in protest against a Defense Department reproductive rights policy, stalled nearly 450 military nominees and was facing growing backlash from both sides of the aisle. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer described Tuberville's hold as damaging to military readiness and because military promotions were on hold, it was causing financial issues and impacting military families. Tuberville acknowledged the pressure but said he had no choice, claiming that he actually helped to bolster national security.
