A season FULL of incredible individual performances! How do you even begin to figure out who deserves to be recognized for their play? Kevin “K-Dot” Lewis of The 9450 stops by to discuss the 2024 WNBA awards! Starting off with the rookies, Caitlin Clark figured things out quick, fast, and in a hurry. For her amazing rookie campaign, she earned Rookie of the Year honors. However, the race was much closer than the vote would have you believe. How close was Angel Reese to winning it, who else came on strong at the end, and did the voters get the All-Rookie Team selections right? Then, there was no question who was coming away with MVP this season. It was simply a matter of whether or not it would be unanimous, and it was! K-Dot puts A'ja Wilson's historic career into perspective. How in the hell was she able to level up after already being at the top of the league? Also, I tell you which player I was shocked to see not make it onto anybody's ballot. The Defensive Player of the Year Award is always one of the toughest for voters to decide. Kevin tells us why that is and his own personal criteria for making the pick. We also discuss the challenges of evaluating post defenders versus perimeter defenders, which may have led to DiJonai Carrington only receiving one vote. However, DiJonai did come away with the Most Improved Player Award. Which teammate of hers should have received some recognition as well? And who should or shouldn't be eligible to win this award? We finish up with the Coach of the Year Award along with an epic rant about the Chicago Sky's decision to fire Teresa Weatherspoon after one season. K-Dot also puts on his Nostra-Dot-mus hat and tells us what to expect from the rest of the playoffs! Tap in! Send us a textIn this live episode of "2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates," hosts Drew and Rob dive into the latest updates, rumors, and news surrounding Giants, as well as important developments from around the NFL. From Hall of Fame discussions to injury reports and Week 5 NFL picks, this episode covers it all for Giants fans. The episode kicks off with exciting news about four former Giants who are advancing in the selection process for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Giants legends Charlie Conerly, Carl Banks, Ottis "O.J." Anderson, and Everson Walls are among 60 former NFL players being considered in the Seniors category. The hosts reminisce about their impactful careers and contributions to the Giants. They delve into each player's accomplishments, including Conerly's 1959 MVP season, Banks' role in the Super Bowl victories, Anderson's MVP performance in Super Bowl XXV, and Walls' ball-hawking skills that helped the Giants win another championship.Next, the guys celebrate two current Giants who made the first-quarter All-Rookie Team as listed by The Athletic's Dan Brugler. Rookie WR Malik Nabers has been a breakout star, leading the league in receptions and racking up big plays, while safety Tyler Nubin has been a tackling machine, although he's still adjusting to the NFL's speed in coverage. While Nabers and Nubin have shown tremendous potential, fellow rookies Dru Phillips and Darrius Muasau received honorable mentions, adding even more excitement for Giants fans about the team's future.Injuries have been a major storyline for the Giants, and this episode covers the latest updates on several key players. WR Nabers remains in concussion protocol, while RB Singletary and CB Adoree' Jackson are battling groin and calf issues, respectively. Dru Phillips and edge rusher Brian Burns are also limited, raising concerns about how these injuries could impact the Giants' performance in their upcoming game against the Seahawks. On the Seahawks side, former Giants Leonard Williams and Julian Love are listed with injuries, adding an extra layer of intrigue to this matchup. The hosts break down how these injuries could affect both teams and what it might mean for the Giants' chances of pulling off a win.As WRs Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson face injury concerns, Drew and Rob speculate whether this could open the door for Jalin Hyatt to finally prove himself on the field. The Giants coaching staff has been hesitant to trust Hyatt so far, but with limited options, the rookie wide receiver might get his shot. The guys discuss Hyatt's downfield abilities and how Daniel Jones' struggles throwing deep could be a factor in this decision. They also mention how TE Theo Johnson and WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton could see increased playing time in this game due to the injuries.WrapBad Dadvice PodcastNew Dads giving hilariously bad advice about fatherhood, life and current events.Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the showAll Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, & TwitchSponsor the show at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsInterested in starting a podcast. As the son of a Naval pilot, Bucky Dilts moved around a lot growing. At one point his family was based in Hawaii where he learned to surf and play football, specifically punting. He'd kick a football (with his left foot) over anything high that he could find. Next came a move to Atlanta. Surfing wasn't an option, so Bucky went 100% into football during high school. He went on to punt for the University of Georgia as a walk-on. His reverse spin, directional punting and hang time became a problem for opponents. Despite his collegiate success, Bucky went undrafted in 1977 and while a number of teams offered him a spot in training camp, he went with the Broncos who had a lot of competition at the punting position. Fully confident, Bucky came to camp and won the position. His rookie season included a trip to the Super Bowl and a spot on the All-Rookie Team. He'd stay with Denver for another year before being traded to the then-Baltimore Colts. After a rough year with the Colts and pricing himself out of the market contract wise, Bucky was done with the NFL. After retirement, Bucky hit the business world and endured some personal setbacks and challenges with his family. Today he's helping people (and himself) become healthier versions of themselves.

Join us for Part 1 of our new Series, "An Ever Evolving Life" with Queenie Luv. In this series, Queenie host heart felt conversations surrounding the ever evolving experiences with life and the lessons that we are taught, the challenges that we overcome, the trials that we face and the blessings that comes out of it all. Queenie believes that we are not WHERE WE START...we are on a journey to GET THERE...a life course to our destiny. In this episode Queenie shares what it was like growing up in the last 80's during the crack epidemic and attending a middle school as a troubled youth. Queenie sits down with her mentor and P.E. Coach, Eric Tucker to discuss what it was like for him teaching during that time, as a black man and talented young educator at Spring Lake Junior High school, which sometimes felt like an inner city school. Coach Tucker was part of a 'TRIO' of educators who mentored Queenie and kept her on the right path, although she was oftentimes creating her own way.....Still Coach Tucker and two other educators never gave up on pouring into her and making sure that they too gave back to so many others. A little more about coach Tucker: After leaving Spring Lake Junior High School, Coach Tucker went on to touch the lives of so many students and teachers alike. Coach became a living legend at Fayetteville State University in the 90's. Coach Eric Tucker led Fayetteville State women's basketball from 1992-93 until 2008-09. The Broncos went on to three CIAA Championship appearances and five NCAA post-season berths. Within that time, FSU won (over) 300 games, a 2001 CIAA Championship, and five Southern Division titles. Coach Tucker earned two CIAA Coach of the Year honors in '93 and '94 and the conference named him the 2001 Tournament's “Most Outstanding Coach”. In Tucker's 17 seasons, FSU had a total of 19 All-CIAA student-athletes, 10 All-Tournament honorees, nine All-Rookie Team members, a Rookie of the Year, and a CIAA Tournament MVP. COACH TUCKER IS LEGENDARY! To learn more about the Premium Sea Moss Gel mentioned in the podcast please check out www.premiumseamossgel.com
