Slam the Gavel
Michael Volpe, Investigative Journalist Discussing The Corruption Going On In The Counties Of North Carolina and Miami Dade

Slam the Gavel

Play Episode Listen Later Jul 6, 2021 65:36

Slam the Gavel welcomes Investigative Journalist, Michael Volpe back for another great show. Great discussion on the corruption in the counties of North Carolina and Miami Dade Florida. In the pits of corruption, DSS/ CPS essentially snatches children from their protective parents with no warrant and no court order. Cherokee County is only one example of where a major investigation is taking place ensuing with indictments, lawsuits and takeover by the state. Michael Volpe explained that the police, DSS and the courts do an awful job of investigating allegations of child abuse. CPS purposely coerces the protective parent to be placed in a vice through no fault of their own while having them sign off their rights using confusing documents. Caseworkers stealing children and having the parents sign their rights away is the typical modus operandi of CPS and Guardian Ad Litems. It's sickening what they are doing to people. Counties in NC and Miami Dade Florida as well as many others are guilty of these wrongdoings to families. Michael Volpe's latest article, but at the bottom there is a link to the previous article as well: https://theeprovocateur.blogspot.com/2021/06/silver-bullet-technique-executed-in.html Also, Megan Fox and I recently interviewed Gabe Shapiro, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZsX2kIPwD4&t=1056s it's about 42 minutes in, that the interview starts. First, with the Forsyth County DSS Director, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHc_OAytTQw&t=343s Michel Volpe also did this interview in the second hour all about North Carolina, https://www.blogtalkradio.com/citizenaction/2021/06/08/action-radio-michael-volpe--whats-with-kids-being-seized-in-north-carolina https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnaf_1p2sbI&t=1938s (starting just over an hour in). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6avLBKhIFg&t=1s The first fifteen minutes or so a GAL, Sara Royster, bends over backwards to distance herself from an accusation that dad put a boy in a dog cage, four years old. Also, at about fifteen minutes, the judge, Gordon Miller, chimes in stating, "it's rarely appropriate to put a boy in a dog cage....but we don't know the context." There is no ACCOUNTABILITY nor oversight in these cases and children and parents are paying dearly for it. The way to make progress in over-hauling the system is to continuously contact your legislature and continue to lobby for bills that will be passed. Expose these criminals for what they are. Also Michael has found that non-profits that are wolves in sheep's clothing: The Children's Law Center of Central North Carolina and the Council for Children's Rights of North Carolina. http://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/ https://monicaszymonik.mykajabi.com/Masterclass Use code Slam the Gavel for 10% off the class! Hey ATA Listeners, welcome to Summer! The time of year that we podcasters want to come fast so we can take it slow because a vacation is needed from our favorite shows, for me and Nico. Although, with The Beach Boy lyrics aside, we really have been in need of a break from the avalanche of  Television programming we have been reviewing over the past few weeks and our wish came true by us having a shortened schedule made up of a Game of Thrones episode that primarily focused on Tyrion's wedding to Sansa, Warehouse 13 returning to the regular section as it abracadabraed into the world of performing magic, Psych going under the knife within the field of Plastic Surgery and Modern Family delivering a Season Finale, which brought everyone together in a heartwarming fashion with the loss of a family member. Then Nico continues to keep things hangin' loose with a chilled out version of the Airwaves Rundown section reviewing his favorite episodes from the Family Guy and Simpsons season finales, a standard episode of SyFy's Defiance and the season finale of Grimm. Also Michael stops by to review Revolution while Woo leaves us a highly interesting voicemail about Ted's progression as a character throughout the series of  How I Met Your Mother and another about a new show called The Goodwin Games that I'm sure all you HIMYM fans would enjoy.  So what are you waiting for? Pull up a lawn chair, grab your shades, fill up a glass of Iced Tea and give this podcast a listen as it will inspire you to act like it's summer even if it's still cold outside where you live.

This episode inlcudes the usual opening banter, followed by talk of costumes and dealers' rooms. Also Michael and Shag go over the swag they picked up this year. This one is a bit off-beat, even by Views From The Longbox standards. Michael starts the episode with a breakdown of a Meatloaf song and then things kind of go downhill from there. Topics covered include why Batman shouldn't sing, why Superman can, why MASK was a horrendous threat to the civillian population and how G.I. Joe broke new ground for comic books. Also Michael announces yet another new feature that will probably not go anywhere and reminds you of a contest that expires on March 8, 2008.
