Certains sont envoyés en camp d'extermination, notamment à Chelmno, où ils sont gazés. Seuls quelques enfants au profil "aryen" sont sélectionnés pour être rééduqués en Allemagne et confiés à des familles nazies.Lidice disparaît de la cartePour effacer toute trace du village, les nazis rasent Lidice. Les maisons sont incendiées, l'église et le cimetière dynamités. Même les cours d'eau sont détournés. Lidice ne doit plus exister.Un symbole de résistanceAprès la guerre, Lidice devient un symbole international de la barbarie nazie. Je to už osmdesát let, kdy Československo zažilo jeden z nejslavnější hrdinských činů moderní historie – atentát dvou českých parašutistů Kubiše a Gabčíka na zastupujícího říšského protektora Heydricha. Jak nás to změnilo?Hostem Ptám se já byl náměstek generálního ředitele Národního muzea, historik Michal Stehlík.Přesně před 80 lety 27. května 1942 zaútočili vojáci československé exilové armády Jan Kubiš a Jozef Gabčík na zastupujícího protektora Reinharda Heydricha – vysokého nacistického prominenta, který hned po nástupu do funkce rozpoutal na československém území teror.Ačkoliv Gabčíkovi v osudnou chvíli selhala zbraň, Kubišova bomba nacistického pohlavára smrtelně zranila. Osudnou se mu stala malá střepina a hitlerovskému režimu zasadila de facto první citelnou ránu. Odveta nacistů na českém obyvatelstvu byla krutá. Operácia Anthropoid, teda atentát na zastupujúceho ríšskeho protektora Reinharda Heydricha patrí k najznámejším akciám československého odboja počas druhej svetovej vojny. Zdalo by sa, že postaviť sa so samopalom a výbušninou do cesty neohrozenému protektorovi je síce odvážnym, ale v princípe jednoduchým činom. Ak sa ale pozrieme bližšie na priebeh a prípravy celej operácie, zistíme, že ani zďaleka nebola dielom len odvahy dvoch hrdinov – Jozefa Gabčíka a Jana Kubiša. Bez podpory celej siete pomocníkov a starostlivého naplánovania akcie by likvidácia popredného nacistického potentáta nebola možná. Kto všetko stál za týmito prípravami a ako sa rodil plán na túto mimoriadnu akciu, ktorá sa zaradila aj medzi najväčšie úspechy britského Oddelenia pre zvláštne operácie? London based Morgan Kennedy is an accomplished Production Designer. Most recently he was a Production Designer on ‘Liaison', created by Virginie Brac, for Apple TV, which is now in post-production. His film credits include The Sweeney (2012) for Director Nick Love. With Director Sean Ellis he has designed several features, namely: Cashback (2006), based on the director's short, The Broken (2008), with Lena Headey and Anthropoid (2016), starring Cillian Murphy. In television he has designed several episodes of Netflix's Black Mirror. On that series, he was Production Designer for the episodes Hated in the Nation (2016) and Crocodile (2017). He spoke to Zef Cota, in December last year, during an informal and in-depth chat on the art of Production Design, and the varied role of the Production Designer, in both features and television.

For many centuries physicians have been trying to understand why some women give birth with relative expediency while other women can have long drawn out labors.  In an effort to understand this discrepancy, two physicians (Caldwell & Malloy) studied cadavers and classified the shape of a woman's pelvics. According to Caldwell & Malloy, there are 4 types of female pelvises all with a distinct shape: Gynecoid, Android, Anthropoid, and Platypelloid (see photo below).   It was argued, that the shape of the pelvis was a factor in why a labor could be drawn out.  Since this classification came out in 1933, there has been little challenge that these 4 pelvises are not a great representation of the differ shapes of bony structures for women.    In this episode, Dr. Abdelhak elaborates on what parts of the pelvis are important to pay attention to and why they matter.
