He knows where it ends up. If Hitler had a podcast, he'd finally be cool. And Hitler was never cool. A mediocre artist with a thousand-yard stare, he was repellent to most people. But in 2026 America, where coolness is measured by offending the right people, Hitler would be hanging with the bros. He'd be on Joe Rogan laughing about Erika Kirk's eyes and claiming Kanye might have been onto something way back when he said the Jews were controlling everything. He'd be sitting across from Tim Dillon talking about genocide, and Israel and the Jews. He'd fly up to Maine, have dinner with Tucker, maybe sit in the sauna, and then have a lengthy interview about how much they love dogs, and then talk about how World War II was the fault of the Jews. He'd be at Theo Von's Easter party with his arm around Brett Cooper and Candace Owens, smiling and happy on such a beautiful day. To be hated is to be cool. They're all cool, you're not cool if you worry about Hitler having a podcast. You're only cool if you are okay with Hitler. If you laugh and giggle and say he really has a point, you know. Hitler reacted to that era with revulsion, presenting himself as a puritanical moralist who never sold the image of being a ladies' man or even having a wife. Nick Fuentes claims to be a virgin in a society ruled by intolerable women who won't give him the time of day. The Left is leaning into violence, assassinations, and targeted attacks on Jews, spiking in recent years. If Hitler had a podcast, he would adopt Hasan Piker's ideology that Hamas is the real hero in this story. There was a time when podcasts felt like freedom. Anyone could say anything they wanted, but by the time it got to accusing a widow of having a hand in murdering her husband, because Israel wanted to go to war with Iran, it seems they've jumped the shark. If Hitler had a podcast, he'd have to somehow top it. And that is how we got here, where all of them are competing for those eyeballs who have nothing better to do than to watch the world burn. Thankfully, on the right, there are leaders who offer an alternative vision for young Americans. Charlie Kirk was the most influential of them, guiding his young viewers toward faith, family, and purpose. Pour qu'on croit que Lénine est en scène, il fallait le masque, autrement, ça aurait été un acteur qui essaye de ressembler à Lénine. Ici c'est l'incarnation qui rentre en scène et sorte de l'oubli». Pour Ariane Mnouchkine, le spectacle est une alerte, il parle d'aujourd'hui. «Un spectacle peut et doit parfois être un tocsin. Pas un glas, mais un tocsin. Le tocsin réveille, le glas annonce la fin, la mort. Les dragons, ce sont des tocsins». Invitée : Ariane Mnouchkine (née en 1939) est une metteuse en scène française majeure, fondatrice du Théâtre du Soleil en 1964. Sa troupe s'installe à la Cartoucherie de Vincennes en 1970. Une semaine après la victoire de Péter Magyar en Hongrie, il faut s'attendre à des changements à venir dans le monde des médias et de l'information de cette nouvelle ère post-Orban Il fallait entendre, sur la première chaîne de télévision publique mercredi 15 avril 2026, le nouveau Premier ministre hongrois après sa victoire écrasante aux législatives du dimanche 12 avril. Devant une présentatrice qui plongeait le nez dans ses notes, il a comparé la télévision publique de Hongrie à une machine de propagande digne de Goebbels ou de Kim Jong-un. Cela faisait un an et demi qu'il n'avait pas été invité sur cette chaîne, quand bien même il était le chef de l'opposition. Alors, même s'il a écouté les excuses de la présentatrice et assuré qu'il n'avait aucune rancune personnelle, on a bien compris qu'il avait des comptes à régler. Péter Magyar a accusé l'émission qui l'invitait d'avoir colporté de fausses rumeurs à son égard, comme le fait que ses enfants mineurs ne lui parleraient plus, alors qu'ils vivent avec lui. En réalité, le système de contrôle des médias de Viktor Orban a aussi été une machine à diffamer et à dénigrer. Pour Péter Magyar, c'est un point d'autant plus sensible qu'il est séparé de la mère de ses enfants, qui a été ministre de la Justice d'Orban. Il avait été accusé par cette dernière de violences conjugales après avoir effectué un enregistrement clandestin de son ex-épouse dans une affaire de corruption. Les médias publics en passe d'être suspendus Péter Magyar a dit vouloir suspendre les médias publics hongrois « tant qu'ils ne redeviendront pas indépendants ». Une promesse qui risque de se heurter à la légalité mais qui est possible, compte tenu du fait que la Hongrie contrevenait aux règles européennes sur l'indépendance des médias. Viktor Orban avait d'ailleurs refusé de signer le règlement sur la liberté des médias, l'EMFA. Aussitôt, Bruxelles avait engagé une procédure de sanctions contre la Hongrie pour non-respect de l'indépendance des médias. À l'occasion d'une nouvelle loi, Péter Magyar va probablement recréer un groupe public pour éloigner ceux qui y ont pris place : les affidés du Fidesz, le parti d'Orban. Reporters sans frontières appelle au respect du droit européen et à la concertation Le rétablissement de l'État de droit, y compris en matière d'information, sera bien un marqueur de la nouvelle politique de Magyar. My dislike of Musk is political — the cosying up to Trump, the DOGE fiasco, the embrace of far-right groups, the transformation of Twitter into a safe space for misanthropes. But Steel makes a case that, in our therapeutic culture, might be harder for some to dismiss: Musk's “curious mind” is the product of childhood bullying, high-functioning autism, an abusive father, and an existential crisis resolved not by philosophy but by The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Apparently Elon read Nietzsche and that, of course, only compounded his existential crisis. Probably because Nietzsche was warning us about a future dominated by philistines like Elon Musk.In navigating the Musk mind, Steel discovers three traits: hyper-rationality, existential angst, and belligerence. Lots of Silicon Valley founders have the first. Some have the second. Almost none have the third. The combination produces a man who genuinely believes that the scientific method — the right of anyone to criticize anything — is a secular religion, and that “wokeness” is a competing religion that must be destroyed. Mon grand-père, Walter Betcke, lui, était le fils d'un riche industriel. Il a fait la Première Guerre, puis des études de droit, est devenu avocat puis a été engagé comme directeur juridique en 1928 par Deutsche Grammophon, dont il est devenu le président en 1932. Mes grands-parents se sont mariés en février 1933. À cette époque, le communisme et le nazisme leur étaient complètement étrangers et ils en condamnaient fermement la brutalité et la folie. Les nazis sont arrivés au pouvoir trois semaines après la prise de fonction de mon grand-père et ont aussitôt commencé à vouloir mettre l'entreprise au pas. C'est dans ce contexte que mon grand-père est entré en résistance contre Goebbels et le ministère de la Propagande, au point de lui faire un procès en 1935, qu'il a perdu en première instance et en appel, mais gagné en 1936 devant la cour suprême. Pendant ce temps, mes grands-parents ont subi intimidations, descentes de la Gestapo et menaces de déportation. Arrive la guerre et mon grand-père est enrôlé mais il continue de s'occuper de la société et à employer des juifs dans l'entreprise sous de faux noms. Libéré au bout d'un an, il poursuit sa résistance active pour conserver l'indépendance du répertoire musical et maintenir les salariés (dont des juifs) dans l'entreprise. Mais l'entreprise est bombardée. Il est envoyé au front dans les derniers jours de la guerre et se constitue prisonnier dans la zone américaine. Suit l'enquête en dénazification qui l'empêche de reprendre la direction de l'entreprise pendant un an. Il est totalement blanchi et redevient président de Deutsche Grammophon en 1946, jusqu'à sa retraite en 1965, pour faire de cette entreprise ce qu'elle est devenue : l'un des plus anciens éditeurs de musique enregistrée encore en activité. 6. Continued Defeats, Financial Ruin, and Schleicher's Strategy. Timothy Ryback discusses how the Nazi party continued its decline, suffering losses in Thuringia and facing severe financial ruin, estimated to be 90 million Reichsmarks in debt. A desperate push for a majority in the small state of Lippe in January failed, though Hitler publicly declared it a triumph. Simultaneously, Chancellor Schleicher, the political mastermind, actively negotiated with Gregor Strasser. Schleicher aimed to break apart the NSDAP by detaching Strasser's socialist faction from Hitler's hardliners (Goebbels and Göring), thereby creating a stable, centrist coalition. Strasser was acting to save the National Socialist Movement through compromise, not to betray Hitler. 1933
5. Hitler's Post-Defeat Meetings and Internal Rift. Timothy Ryback discusses how following his November defeat, Hitler remained driven. Former Chancellor Papen, the most unpopular chancellor in German history, sought a meeting, hoping Hitler was weakened enough to join a necessary coalition. Hitler rejected Papen, knowing he was in trouble. A subsequent meeting with Hindenburg also failed, reinforcing the view that Hitler was finished. Meanwhile, intense internal party conflict arose: Gregor Strasser sought conciliation and coalition to save the movement, while Goebbels and hardliners pushed Hitler to stonewall for total power. This tension culminated dramatically in the "underwear scene," where Göring and Goebbels intercepted Hitler on his train, illustrating Hitler's waffling between his party factions. 1933 Berlin

BULLETIN, SEASON 4 EPISODE 14, COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN BULLETIN (2:55): ABC announced late this afternoon that it had taken "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" off the network's air effective immediately, because Kimmel had the nerve to tell the truth about how Trump and the MAGA terrorists have exploited the indefensible assassination of Charlie Kirk, how they have tried to blame the left without evidence and with increasing evidence that this was an instance of a man who feared Kirk was a direct threat to a person he loved, and how they have ruthlessly tried to suppress all public comment that contradicts their narrative, or the nonsensical whitewashing of Kirk's violent, ultra-right platform that once included him publicly calling for the execution of President Biden. “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said Monday. By this afternoon FCC chairman Brendan Carr dipped into the Goebbels playbook and threatened ABC's station licenses if it did not take Kimmel off the air, and the Nexstar stations that own many ABC affiliates, said they would not broadcast any more of Kimmel's shows. At that point ABC simply said the show was off the air "for the foreseeable future." Fascism can truly overtake this country's democracy only with the collaboration of Disney and ABC and people they run them - desperate people like Bob Iger, who reclaimed the chairmanship of the company and will do anything he can to maintain it - including selling this country out to the fascists. I'll also discuss why Kimmel has no recourse against the action and will most likely not appear again, and why ABC's only contractual obligation to him is to pay him the remaining year of his salary. One of my favorite things about Roseanna M. White's books is her attention to detail not just with historic facts but LOCATIONS. She does a fabulous job of ensuring that the faiths of her characters match their locales (she has a great blog post about this that you don't want to miss, too!).
