A full rundown of the last two episodes of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. From Kyle and Dorit finally squashing the "more than memes" text issues, to a look back at the nicer times between PK/PJ and Dorit before she laments him going MIA before resurfacing to send a tersely worded seven-page email, the episodes run a gamut of emotions for Dorit. Sutton's visit home to Georgia with Garcelle and Kyle reminds us about her challenging relationship with her mother, Reba. Erika spends $37k on luxury interior design and warns Dorit about being proactive in her situation with PJ/PK. Boze continues to deliver stellar commentary while not hesitating to dive into topics with the group and we get a Kathy sighting complete with a Capri inspired, lemon forward luncheon. All opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. Information shared is cited via articles, legal documents, press releases, government websites, public videos, news reports, and/or direct quotes and statements and may be paraphrased for brevity. It's time for some fun in the sun as Garcelle invites the ladies to her beach house. Dorit continues to confide in new friend Boz. Kyle tries to explain herself to Garcelle and Sutton. As they head to the shore, a rude interruption causes Dorit to take pause with Sutton. Kyle and Dorit sit for a seaside face-off. Hello, Darlings! We see birds alive and dead and way too much of Sutton wanting to punish people. This week Meredith and Tess discuss Boredwalk's forays into "engagement farming" (aka posting entertaining content to social media) and the cranky commenters who don't seem to know how algorithms or just, y'know, existing on the internet work. Meredith then shares a gripe about a shameless Instagram account making money off stealing the work of other actual content creators and passing it off as their own, including herself. They then talk about the weird dissonance of the Delve Deck's growing popularity on TikTok and how it is both gratifying yet still gives Meredith the ick. Tess then reads a lengthy IG comment from the rarest of Pokémon: the misogynist-sympathizing pick-me troll wife! Thankfully, Nancy was very pleased about her recent Oxford Comma Appreciation Society tee and effusive in her praise. Thanks, Nancy! This leads to Meredith FINALLY discussing Boredwalk's latest product release — Delve Deck beach balls! She talks about the genesis of this new product, and Tess confirms they are super-fun to play with! They then read and react to fan responses to the recent Question of the Day (conveniently enough, pulled from the original Delve Deck) "what's your unpopular food opinion?" before sharing their own answers. They wrap up the episode by trading answers to questions from the Delve Deck Venting and Joy Edition expansions. This week they ponder "what do you wish was more easily avoidable?" and "what life experience ended up being a lot better than you imagined it would be?" If you think the Delve Deck questions and the conversations they sparked sound fun, head over to Boredwalk.com and pick up sets for yourself! Discover the courageous origins and transformative journey of queer rights as we trace the historical tapestry of Berlin's LGBTQ+ community with the guidance of Dr. Robert Beachy, author of "Gay Berlin: Birthplace of a Modern Identity." This episode promises to unravel the complex evolution of queer identity, from the pioneering efforts of 19th-century activists like Karl-Einrich Ulrichs to the vibrant and liberal Weimar Republic, through the devastating oppression of the Nazi regime, and into Berlin's resurgence as a queer capital in modern times. Embark with us on a poignant narrative as we reflect on the tragic yet inspirational tale of Karl Heinrich Ulrichs and his indomitable spirit in the face of adversity — a spirit that ignited a movement and altered perceptions of sexuality and gender. We delve into the groundbreaking work of Magnus Hirschfeld and his contemporaries, their profound impact on shaping the understanding of sexual identity, and the cultural and scientific strides that have informed our modern discourse on LGBTQ+ rights. As we walk the streets of Berlin, we are reminded not only of the city's golden age of gay culture and the shadows of persecution but also of the significance of activism and the vital role it plays in ensuring the rights and freedoms we hold dear. Berlin's history serves not only as a lesson but as a clarion call for continued vigilance in the pursuit of equality. Join us in this exploration of a city that has become an emblem of diversity and acceptance, and the imperative to honor and protect the legacy of those who fought for the rights we cherish today.Recommended:Gay Berlin: Birthplace of a Modern Identity - Robert Beachy-------------------------Follow Deep Dive:InstagramPost.newsYouTube Email: deepdivewithshawn@gmail.com **Artwork: Dovi Design **Music: Joystock

Slam the Gavel welcomes back Jay Rosenthal from Cpsprotect.com (Season 3, Episode 87) and Sylvia Beachy from RescueTheFosters@proton.me on the podcast. We discussed the well-oiled machinery of the CPS system and that it is finely perfected, however flawed and paid for by the taxpayers. It is a broken system. ASFA (America Safe Families Act 1997) and CAPTA (Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act, 1974) was well-intentioned but fell short. Solutions were discussed and Jay Rosenthal talked about URGENT ASSIST BASIC provided by Cpsprotect.com and what that entails when CPS is at YOUR DOOR. This levels the playing field for the parents. There is freedom of choice but not freedom from consequence. We talked about accountability and why caseworkers remove children, "when in doubt, pull them out." Taking a child out of a loving, fit home may end them up in a very abusive situation in a Foster Home. Sylvia Beachy brought up the fact that the MEDIA only shows the biological deaths of children but not the deaths in Foster Care.
